At Politico Todd Purdum takes a stab at why Obama can’t go to Ferguson:
It’s a paradox of Barack Obama’s presidency: The first African-American to run the country finds himself in the tensest racial confrontation of his tenure but is constrained from addressing the nation’s original sin in anything but the loftiest, most dispassionate terms.
“We’ve made extraordinary progress” in race relations, Obama said on Monday, addressing the unrest in Ferguson, Missouri, over the police shooting of Michael Brown, “but we have not made enough progress.”
That observation is so obvious as to be anodyne, but Obama has good reason to confine himself to Joe Friday generalities in the face of the discordant street demonstrations, belligerent police tactics and unfinished official investigation in Ferguson.
…Ever since he first judged that the Cambridge, Massachusetts, police had “acted stupidly” in 2009 by arresting Professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. in his own doorway, Obama’s most candid comments on race have been just as likely to inflame a significant segment of public opinion as to soothe it.
Last year, when Obama made the indisputable observation that Trayvon Martin, the unarmed black Florida teenager shot in 2012 by a neighborhood watch volunteer “could have been me 35 years ago,” many conservatives reacted with outrage (whether real or politically inspired). So there is now little practical percentage for Obama in doing anything but balancing his assertion that “in many communities, too many young men of color are left behind and seen only as objects of fear,” as he did Monday with an even-handed warning that giving in to anger “by looting or carrying guns and even attacking the police only serves to raise tension and stir chaos.”
Nice story, but it misses the target. There are two reasons Obama won’t go to Ferguson:
1. There are no good local private golf courses
2. No one there can afford $30,000 a plate for Obama
There’s a third reason. A delegate from the New Black Panthers warned Obama that they can’t guarantee his safety in Ferguson.
I love how Obama’s constituency all pay strict attention to what he says when he is offering up the goodies to be paid for by everyone else, but pay not even the slightest attention to his words when he asks them to do something they don’t want to do… like stop stealing.
“No one there can afford $30,000 a plate for Obama”. Just ask Jesse Jackson. He was booed when he tried to pass the plate.
Ferguson is a ”lose-lose,” situation no matter who you are or what you say.
Look at the list of the losers:
The Police Chief.
The assigned head of the Highway Patrol.
The Mayor.
The Governor.
As per Buffalobob’s comment, members of the ”faith-based” community.
The business owners.
Workers who cannot get to their jobs.
Students who cannot get to their schools.
And more.
Obama might also be privy to some of the story behind the scenes.
Like that Dorian Johnson has recanted his prior media espousals and now asserts that he and Mike Brown did indeed engage in a physical confrontation with Officer Darren Wilson.
Like that Michael Baden did NOT perform any autopsy, but merely added his weight to one preformed by a NON-medical licensed individual, namely Shawn Parcells, a pathologist assistant.

IF Obama now knows there are over a dozen eyewitnesses who agree with the officer’s report,
IF Obama now knows that Dorian (and all the others who used to tell that they saw what he said happened) is changing his story,
IF Obama now knows that the autopsy and toxicology reports tend to clear the officer,
Then why would Obama want to be another one of the losers who have gone to Ferguson?
Notice how Obama has A LOT to say about the law abiding citizens in a critical manner – going so far as calling them ‘extremists – ‘ Tea Party ‘ who are citizens….
None of what has and is happening in Ferguson Mo is Extreme – Radical??
Ofraud (and his ilk) IS THE ONE who throws out innuendos regarding race specifically ‘white racism’ that when factually and proven in the court of law, none ever existed?
I have not heard him Once say anything in his ‘ Ferguson Brief’ about it being WRONG to
LIE,steal, riot, loot, arson, illegal guns, fighting, fire bombs…. disrespecting the police AND yourself and your own community.I crossed out Steal and Lie because the Ofraud is guilty as hell of those two…that would only make him look even more hypocritical.

Now we can immediately expect the following to rise like the phoenix from the fire, for personal reasons of all Whites people in America:
The White Panthers, dedicated to the protection of White people in America.
NACAWP – National Association for the Continued Advancement of White People.
AAMWITV – Assocation for the Advancement of More Whites in TV.
AAMWIS – American Association for More White In Sports (As per population figures, 35% Hispanics, 11% black 4 and 49% Whites.
AAAAWPW – American Association for the Advancement of All Whites in Politics for Whites favoring White persons.
Whites will, however, not burn down their own neighborhoods, nor will they loot their neighbors or businesses nor kill or hurt police officers, but respect them for the incredible job they must perform for the safety of all.
You majority Whites can however Oust Obama.
We can rest assured that Holder, who simply dismissed a voter intimidation case, already won, against the New Black Panthers and sees racial prejudice against whites (or any other race or color) differently than racial prejudice against blacks, see to it that regardless of the outcome, all parties are treated fairly under the law. No doubt.
Oh, sure.
Justice all the way.
Officer Wilson has deprived the big friendly student of his civil rights to rob stores, walk down the middle of the street, and assault police officers. These are guaranteed rights, provided for in the living Constitution of the law student in chief. No investigation is needed. He will receive a major prison sentence, administered by the DOJ.
After all, there are no dead children in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, or anywhere else in the US. Just in Ferguson. This is Holder justice.
The old blind lady lifts her blinds to detect the skin color; all judgments are weighted with color as the principal symptom. Guilty until proven guilty. Just like the New Black Panthers in Philadelphia were innocent until declared innocent (without trial, no less).
It is all about starting a race war. After all, it takes some of the fingers of one hand to count the number of black children shot by white police in the last 20 years. It is an epidemic!
You forgot one reason. There are no more flat screen TVs to loot!
Perhaps Wilson could be given the same harsh penalty Obama metes out for his federal workers who confess to malfesance: resign with a full-pay pension and no charges brought.
