She was just a “typical housewife”

Attorneys for the family of the terrorists who killed 14 people in San Bernardino on Wednesday, claimed that one of the assailants, Tashfeen Malik, was “a typical housewife” who was “assimilating fine” in the year that she had been in the U.S.

But that characterization is at odds with both the heinous act that Malik and her husband, Syed Farook, carried out at San Bernardino’s Inland Regional Center and with her embrace of traditional Islamic values.

Malik voluntarily chose not to drive, and she wore a burqa, the lawyers said.

Noting that the Farook family was “very traditional,” family attorney Mohammad Abuershaid told reporters that when the family got together, “women would sit with the women, the men with the men.”

“That is a very traditional way of acting,” Abuershaid claimed. “So the men did not interact with her,” he added, referring to Malik, who was born in Pakistan but grew up in Saudi Arabia.

“And the brothers have never seen her face, because she did wear a burqa,” Abuershaid continued. “So they just knew her as Syed’s wife.”

I thought it was bizarre that the family attorney talked about being a gun owner himself and did not want this incident used as a tool against his 2nd Amendment Rights. He said Farook’s thousands of rounds of ammo were due to changes and regulations on types of weapons allowed and magazines, etc. Stocking up on shortages caused by government regulations changing guns and magazines, etc. I know that is a legitimate argument for someone who collects or uses weapons for legal purposes. I know lots of people who can’t find bullets.

Then the seed was planted that he was teased about his beard. Other news sources mentioned a religious argument. These lawyers may not be a dumb as Fox News thought. They are using a patriotic gun owner’s defense! There will be an attempt to flip this whole thing on it’s head. He was discriminated against or experienced hate speech because he was Muslim and became more and more unhinged.

He was just a law abiding citizen who liked to collect guns and did target shooting. He stocked up when he found the ammo. He might even been in the NRA from the description by these family attorneys. His family knew nothing, no radicals here.

There will a HUGE push to call this workplace violence, someone became mentally ill because of this racist behavior and was radicalized to a terrorist group. Sympathy for his family because “the family never knows” and even some for him. It has to be our fault. Since we all know he turned to be a terrorist and used our gun laws to possess and carry out this heinous crime, it will feed right into a MASSIVE push for gun control. Anyone else think that was one of the weirdest things said so far? Or am I just too spending too much time following the news? Naah, I don’t think so.

Typical house wife, syed “whens dinner?” syeds wife” as soon as I am done whipping up a few pipebombs, you have to wait I only have 2 hands”
