Sanders Aide’s Tweets Include Homophobic Slurs, References to ‘Jew Money’

A newly hired official for Sen. Bernie Sanders’s (I., Vt.) presidential campaign has a history of racial slurs and denigrating remarks directed at gays, Jews, and women.

Darius Khalil Gordon announced on Wednesday that he has joined the Sanders campaign team as deputy director of constituency organizing.

A number of Gordon’s tweets feature homophobic slurs.

Other tweets—some of which Gordon deleted after the Free Beacon made a request for comment—make anti-Semitic references to “Jew money.”

Gordon also sent numerous racist and misogynistic tweets.

Gordon, like other Sanders staffers and surrogates, backs the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement, which aims to destroy Israel through economic means.

Gordon, who joined the Sanders campaign in November, is the latest in a string of Sanders aides and surrogates who have made disparaging remarks toward Jews and Israel.

Isn’t this exactly the kind of people ANTIFA supposedly wants to punch? Funny how they support Bernie and ignore people like this, huh?

Wow!
Bernie!
Not even a cursory vetting?

Reminds me of the time a white supremacist group were so desperate for a leader that they put in a man who was there to spy on them.
He totally took advantage of the situation and thus we got Charlottesville.

@Nan G: Who says he didn’t vett him? Sounds just like Bernie’s type of guy.

Darius Khalil Gordon was hired on Wednesday and fired on Thursday.

@Greg: Good.
But Bernie did NOT vet him:

By Friday, the campaign told CNN that they had dismissed Gordon over the tweets, which were brought to light by the Washington Free Beacon.

Waiting for the media to do your job for you.
Bad policy.

@Nan G: Question is, how does such a scumbag get to circulate in the upper echelon of liberal political management? Why aren’t the other squeaky-clean liberals shunning such a guy with racist, misogynist, homophobic attitudes?

Why? Because they all accept it! It isn’t rare among liberals; it is common! We see it in how they react to a minority, female or gay person that expresses a view other than a far left liberal one. It’s woven into their DNA. Not vetted? They simply didn’t CARE. He’s one of them.

The glare of their own cancel culture made it necessary to fire the twit, not than anyone on the Bernie campaign disagreed with him.

@Nan G, #5:

Is it usual to read back through a prospective employee’s social media posts 10 years into the past? It would appear that’s how far back into the past someone had to search to find a couple of offensive comments. When they came to light, the guy was fired. That’s good enough for me.

@Greg: Is it unusual to go back 15 years and find some hot-mic trash talking and use it as a basis for declaring someone a sexual predator? Live by the sword, die by the sword.

Nevertheless, we have an insight into the liberal mind. This is what liberals are like and what they accept. Only when it is a political embarrassment do they pretend to object to it.

@Greg: And you’ll extend the same logic and rationality to non-liberals…

No you won’t.

You’re employer wanted you to do damage control on this story? Weird…
