Within a stone’s throw of the burial place of Sam Adams and a number of Founding Fathers, some New England Patriots knelt during the national anthem. The Foxborough crowd booed them and only stopped out of respect for the anthem.

Fans watching the Texas-Patriots game booed as about 20 players knelt during the anthem. There were screams of “Stand Up”!
The President will be blamed for this display but the blame is squarely on the shoulders of the players and the NFL. Americans know that.
President Trump tweeted that if fans boycott, the disrespect will stop. Do people care enough about their country to give up a game they love for the season?
If NFL fans refuse to go to games until players stop disrespecting our Flag & Country, you will see change take place fast. Fire or suspend!

Of course, when the Cowboys wanted to commemorate the 5 policemen killed by a Black Lives Matter supporter, the NFL forbade it. Too divisive.

We are fed up, there is nothing wrong with the anthem or flag or being proud to be an American. Take your twisted logic, fueled by lies and cram it. Call us names, have your pathetic shows of anti law and order. Together we will crush your movement to destroy America.

There is one team owner that is black in the NFL. The commissioner is white. I guess all these “oppressed” players don’t mind that, as long as they get their millions. Perhaps they should refuse to accept their money until there is more representation among the owners.

The rules are found on pages A62-63 of the league’s game operations manual:
The National Anthem must be played prior to every NFL game, and all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem.
During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand, and refrain from talking. The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition. It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country. Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses

Perhaps they should refuse to accept their money until there is more representation among the owners.
What am i missing here? What does ‘equality’ mean? why does it matter if the owner is black or white? If they really want equality, and that means 13% of the owners should be black, then does that also mean that 74% of the players should be white? If equality is based solely on numbers of the population then why do they look at ability. How do they ensure equality of ability. Shouldn’t half of the players be women? Should all women sit for the national anthem until 51% of all players are female? Should a team be allowed to have an all female cheer squad? Shouldn’t they require that 49% of them be men? I don’t think the issue is ‘equality’ If it were, wouldn’t they want all players be paid the same? If a player is 1 of the 11 on the field on a particular play, shouldn’t ‘she’ get 1/11th of the pay of those 11 players for that one play? As I said, l don’t think the issue is ‘equality’.
