POPULATION BOMB! Reuters Cries Overpopulation Making ‘Climate Justice’ Harder

Leave it to Reuters to indirectly resurrect eco-extremist Dr. Paul Ehrlich’s hysterical “The Population Bomb” as the culprit behind the left’s struggles to achieve so-called “climate justice.”
 
Reuters published an asinine climate doom-mongering story with a headline that needs no explanation: “Climate justice gets harder as world population passes 8 billion.” The article screeched that the overpopulated world signals “more hardship” for “regions already facing resource scarcity due to climate change.” Despite the continual debunking of Ehrlich’s boogeyman of an overpopulated world ever since the 1968 publication of his book, Reuters mindlessly paralleled Ehrlich’s logic: “Rapid population growth combined with climate change is likely to cause mass migration and conflict in coming decades, experts said.”
 

 
Reuters’s propaganda sounded like a scene from Hollywood director Ron Howard’s Inferno (2016) when antagonist Bertrand Zobrist railed against overpopulation in a TED Talk-like lecture. Zobrist just happened to be portrayed browbeating attendees over the planet’s population nearing “8 billion now.”
 

 
In his 1968 book, Ehrlich predicted a population-led oblivion in the 1970s that never materialized, an Armageddon scenario that he still continued to push decades later.
 
Ehrlich wrote in The Population Bomb: “In the 1970’s the world will undergo famines – hundreds of millions of people are going to starve to death.” He added that “[our children] will inherit a totally different world, a world in which the standards, politics, and economics of the 1960’s are dead.”
 
Smithsonian Magazine even noted that Ehrlich’s agitprop “gave a huge jolt to the nascent environmental movement and fueled an anti-population-growth crusade that led to human rights abuses around the world.” Did Reuters memory-hole this factoid when it decided to publish a piece echoing Ehrlich’s alarmism?
 
Of course, Reuters made no attempt to distance itself from Ehrlich. In fact, the outlet didn’t even mention Ehrlich at all in the article. In fact, Reuters appeared to channel Ehrlich and create its own watered-down version of “The Population Bomb”:

Paul Erlich wrote before some of the most amazing inventions that relate to improving crop yields for the planet.
Just all the oil-by-product fertilizers alone increased food supplies by magnitudes everywhere they’ve been used.
Hybridization of all sorts of food crops (now demonized as “GMO”) might mean seeds must be bought new each planting season BUT, they are customized to the farmers’ specific climate zone.

When he was a much younger prince Charles used to push for mere subsistence farming in UK.

Subsistence farming means eeking out a bare existence from fertile land that should feed hundreds of times more people.

You say that environmental problems can be solved, but they can only be solved if people want to solve them. When so many people feel, as Spurwing Plover does, that “this whole modern Enviromental movement is based on Lies and Junk Science,” nothing gets done.

The fact that nothing gets done does not mean that there’s no problem; it simply means that nobody wants to do anything about it.

First real science is required not fake CO2 is a pollutant crap. How do you stop planet progression and sun cycles? Do you acknowledge weather modification?

Listen: I wrote a fucking essay for Nathan about environmental problems we’re facing. I listed many issues, and not a single one of them was about climate change. If you’re going to try to participate in the discussion, you should acquaint yourself with what has already been written. If you can’t be bothered to do the least due diligence that grownups do, then keep it to yourself.

A spinning wobbling planet traveling thousands of miles an hour around a sun that has cycles. The weekly forecast is changed and he thinks they can forecast years in the future. Even better he thinks climate agreements on the backs of taxpayers costing more billions is going to stop the weather cycles. Just what in heavens name is climate justice? The Tyranny of the Majority refers to using misinformation and money to simply dupe and use population centers to oppress rural and other areas. We don’t have a “popular vote,” because that’s not freedom. It’s tyranny.

As far as “the tyranny of the minority,” I wouldn’t use that phrase. Instead, we have a globalist/Malthusian cabal that formed back in the 70s and have been slowing building to a goal of killing off the majority of the population so they can keep the resources for themselves.

If the Presidential election goes to a popular vote, we no longer have a legal republic.

There is no Electoral College for, say, the House of Representatives. Each member is chosen by popular vote of the people in his or her district. Each U.S. senator is chosen by popular vote of the people in his or her state.

If we had election of the president by popular vote, we would still be a republic, since we would be choosing representatives to do the work of governing for us. Eliminating the Electoral College would not magically turn the United States into a direct democracy.

But it would end Presidential representation for less populated states. I dont want to be run by California and NY they elect the insane.

My guess is that the Electoral College will be amended out of the Constitution before too terribly long. One person, one vote.
