In a new book that is set for publication on Tuesday, Mallory Factor and Elizabeth Factor claim that Barack Obama’s health care reform was, in part, an effort to unionize twenty-one million health care workers. Factor is a politics and government professor at the Citadel. The new book is titled Shadowbosses: Government Unions Control America and Rob Taxpayers Blind.
The substance of the book is a December 9, 2008 memo from the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Healthcare president Dennis Rivera to the transition team of Obama-Biden.
According to the Daily Caller,
That memo outlined a legislative proposal calling for “increasing the capacity of the health care workforce” as part of a larger health care reform initiative.
The SEIU and the Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), Factor writes, later coordinated with other public-sector unions to spend “literally hundreds of millions of dollars promoting Obamacare.”
Factor, who is also a columnist for Forbes and the senior editor of money and politics for The Street.com, recounts emails from former federal Office of Labor-Management Standards staffer Don Loos, who is now the senior adviser to the president of the National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation.
“It is clear that Big Labor is banking on the probability that all healthcare workers eventually become federal, state, and municipal healthcare employees,” Loos told Factor. He claims that this will make them eligible for involuntary unionization via public sector unions such as AFSCME and the SEIU.
We had neighbors who were pre-unionized nursing home workers.
They were pressured beyond belief to vote SEIU.
BTW, they didn’t.
But the pressure was in the form of multiple big thugs yelling at them in an intimidating manner about what they could do to them IF the ladies did NOT vote SEIU.

Many of these things were ILLEGAL!
And it was just the start.
SEIU wants all 21 milion health care workers in America!
Now we understand the reason for Obamacare. It was control, not to provide better health care.

So, Ditto, what you’re saying is, Obama set it up so SEIU is using a financially bankrupt postal system under a morally bankrupt DOJ head.
Now, would those who pull Obama’s strings have thought this far through?
Or, instead of bad unintended consequences, maybe Obama had a few fall his way.

Uh, no. All I said was that any SEIU thugs who were pulling worker’s ballots out of their mailboxes and opening them were violating Federal law. Intimidation of the vote, and “filling the ballots out for them” are separate non-USPS offenses. However with a stacked Federal Labor board and a hands-off DOJ, it is likely that it will require a change of administrations for the SEIU to be prosecuted. As far as I know, the post office workers are not involved in the perpetrating of the SEIU’s illegal tactics. (If they did, that is one of the few things that Post Office workers could be very quickly fired for. The USPS has always taken the security of the mail very seriously.)
The SEIU tactics seem very similar to those of the NAZI brown-shirts, as well as a number of other socialist party workers through history. (I have little doubt that these are among those whom Obama wanted to be funded “as well as the military). Which of course is why it is so important to secure our voting system from those who would steal the votes by any means possible, by instituting ID checks. Unfortunately it is not uncommon for absentee ballots to be stolen from mailboxes.

And, not knowing what the statute of limitations is for this, I also was referring to FUTURE offenses, having to do with these 21 million who will be treated to SEIU’s jack boots when the time comes.
Under what rock have you righties been sleeping for the past three years. Part of the reason behind the AHC Law, was to take the financial responsibility for health care off employers—union worker being one segment of that group.
