After a series of gaffes, Debbie Wasserman Schultz received support from Barack Obama:
President Barack Obama said yesterday that you would want Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D.-Fla.) “on your side” because “she’s got a cute smile,” and you would want her “in your foxhole” because “not only is she charming” but she has a “dazzling smile,” and is “tough as nails.”
Obama spoke of Wasserman Schultz, who also chairs the Democratic National Committee, at two separate fundraising events in Miami on Monday. Wasserman Schultz’s congressional district includes parts of Broward and Miami-Dade counties.
You want her on your side because she’s cute? She’s cute???
Well, given that Obama and truth seldom intersect, this has got to sting.

Someone might be able to make a case of Obama wanting a white woman- would that be racist?- but not one who could beat him like a harp seal (Shades of Sarah) and leave him on the ice.

I never gave a thoought to his looks- I was too busy recoiling from his words- “fundamentally transforming America”- well, that can’t end well.

I too was disturbed by those words, and by the fact that no one ever questioned what he specifically meant by that. Nor did the question many of his rather vague campaign statements that were no less unsettling. While the media was, (like a love-struck schoolgirl,) fawning over Obama speeches, how handsome and charismatic he was, I was noticing that they were telling us very little about anything he had done as a Senator and barely peaked into his past. It was clear to me that with Obama we we getting a pig in a poke.
@Ditto: I, (and my now ex-wife) had been following Obama since he gave that keynote speech in 2004- we both knew that at some point he’d rear his progressive head- we didn’t think that it would be as soon as it was, but there you go- Snakes have a way of sneaking through the tall grass if you are not careful.
Why would Obi say such a thing! I bet that woman has to sneak up on a mirror just to comb her hair. But what was purpose for that remark, to make Nancy jealous?
