The problem: The reporter’s questions weren’t particularly difficult, but they were clearly not what Obama was expecting. The result was a viral video that depicted Obama as angry when faced with tough questioning. And it unveiled some of the degree to which the White House would like to control its message.
Pfeiffer was asked by Time reporter Michael Scherer, “So will WFAA’s Brad Watson get another interview one day?”
Instead of quickly taking the high road, Pfeiffer suggested that Watson may truly be out in the cold after irritating the president. And he did it by revealing yet another trick of Washington communications: playing one news outlet against its rival.
My prescription? Watch the video. Rinse and repeat until you no longer giggle.
”Let me finish my answers the next time we do an interview, all right?”

Who can forget Obama/Doris?
An advanced battery technology manufacturer, a woman named Doris, stood to ask Obama whether it was a “wise decision to add more taxes to us with the health care” package.
“We are overtaxed as it is,” Doris said bluntly.

I’m glad this Texas reporter didn’t allow Obama the filibuster to eat up all his short interview time like that.
Gutsy interviewer, kudos to him! You can clearly see that Obie is pissed off. This is exactly why he never does actual press conferences.
During the next election, even in his carefully scripted “town hall” meetings, some actual folks with actual questions will slip through. I can’t wait. We will see more of the Anointed One getting questions he does not want.

Zero is such a small, petty man. He CANNOT stand to be questioned. What an A hole. That’s one of the reasons that I admire Trump. He takes it to Zero and doesn’t back down. I watched him stand up to Georgie Boy on ABC – the All Barack Channel. He has guts and he just doesn’t care. Zero cannot abide by any criticism or off script questions. I repeat, what a small man Zero is.
That is why they call them Malignant Narcissists; they become extremely agitated when someone has the “Audacity” to challenge their self-defined role of superiority and control.
As Dr. John points out, Obama has a tendency to “run out the clock” on interviews. It is my understanding the reporter was given 7 minutes. Now, we all know that Obama has no problem bloviating for 7 minutes, giving convoluted answers that leave you asking “Huh? What the hell did he just say?”
But even more telling is Obama’s total lack of knowledge when it comes to Texas history. To say that “Texas has always been a pretty Republican state for historic reasons” shows only that the man touted as the “smartest man to ever hold the office of POTUS” is pretty damn dumb.
Texas had TWO Republican governors in the 19th century, both immediately after the Civil War, ending in 1873. Texas did not elect another Republican governor until 1979, when Clemmons was elected and then not again until the election of George W. Bush. It is only in the last decade that Republicans held a majority in the Texas House. And this is the first year that Republicans have held a filibuster proof majority since Reconstruction. Until recently, Texas was considered one of the bluest states in the Union. In 2003, when the Killer D’s fled to Oklahoma and New Mexico, the Democrats held 88 of 150 House seats.
But that’s OK. With the snub that the Obama administration, and Chuckie Shumer in particular, just gave to Houston, Obama should not waste his time campaigning in Texas.
So what’s wrong–in this grossly edited recording–with Obama telling the interviewer to let him finish his answers?
What’s wrong with a president being smart enough and personable enough to leave the rehearsed script and be able to respond civilly to a legitimate question without a teleprompter, and then countenancing his press secretary’s “chilling” remarks that if you ask questions we don’t want, you won’t ever get another chance? That’s just plain petty b.s. rememeber Reagan’s “there you go again”? Even George Bush for all his malapropisms and mispronunciations was fundamentally decent enough to deal civilly with constant hostility from Idiots of the Press.
