The Senate Judiciary Committee has opened an inquiry into former Attorney General Loretta Lynch over allegations that she interfered in the Hillary Clinton email probe.

Fired FBI Director James Comey recently testified that Lynch sought to downplay the investigation into Clinton’s use of a private email server by asking him to refer to it as a “matter,” not an investigation.

The mainstream media has largely ignored the Lynch story, while they’ve continued to extensively report on possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.

From June 23 to 25, ABC News reported on Lynch for a total of 31 seconds. Meantime, NBC News and CBS News gave the story no time at all.

During that same time period, the networks devoted extensive time to the Trump-Russia probe. ABC News covered the story for 14 minutes and 22 seconds, NBC News did for 11 minutes and 42 seconds, and CBS News did for 19 minutes and nine seconds.

Christopher Bedford, editor-in-chief of The Daily Caller News Foundation, said on “Fox & Friends” that the Lynch inquiry is a “huge story,” but so much of the mainstream media is hung up on old news or non-news.

He said much of the media’s reporting is about “fitting a narrative,” and the Lynch probe doesn’t conform with that.
