Mush headed college students all in favor of Ocasio-Cortez’s Green deal until they find out what’s in it

Last week, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez unveiled her long-awaited “Green New Deal,” a plan aimed at drastically reducing carbon emissions in the next ten years.

The plan has already received the endorsements of Democrat presidential candidates, like Senators Cory Booker and Kamala Harris but, for others, it has turned heads for its drastic approach to fighting climate change. Among the proposals initially listed in the plan were moving away completely from oil, coal, and natural gas within ten years, creating a high-speed rail system to help eliminate air travel, and renovating every home in America.

But perhaps the most controversial point of all was a plan to provide “economic security” for those “unwilling to work.”

Ocasio-Cortez has since removed the document from her website that included such language as eliminating air travel or providing help to those “unwilling to work,” but archived data shows the initial post did, in fact, make such a statement. Ocasio-Cortez’s chief of staff said this was merely a draft and that it was published by accident.

Since its unveiling, the plan has garnered noticeable support from young Americans on social media.

Wanting to know if the same people who support the New Green Deal would still support it after hearing what was actually in it, Campus Reform‘s Cabot Phillips headed to the University of Miami to find out.

First, asking their original perception of the plan, students made clear that they were on board.

“I like that it’s progressive, that it’s gonna push the world forward,” one student said, while another added, “just from knowing who’s endorsed it and some other little things, it sounds great.”

Bu then….. see the rest here

The only place for the Green New Deal is in the paper shredder which the Democrats want to do with our U.S. Constitution its what Obama tried to do the deal is bad deal ALWAYS READ THE FINE PRINT

Well, there’s nothing like knowledge to make a liberal supporter turn away from what they thought they believed in. If only knowledge was more widespread among them.

There’s a reason why Democrats prey on the college age and even high school citizen; they are profoundly ignorant, by and large.

Since the shut down The wall has a higher approval rating, seems people might be getting more information on what is going on down at the southern border that it might not be a manufactured crisis, When not given information people rely on elected or those in authority cause “experts” and stuff blah blah.
The Greenplan was a Unicorn in every pot, what are they smoking, brain farts list of insanity on levels never seen before.
I heard unicorn tastes like chicken.
Calling the students Mush heads isnt fair, our biggest mistake was to allow the government to educate our children, our fault end of story.

@kitt: I guess this explains why the idiot Newsom, in the actual face of 6,000 illegal immigrants banging on the fence at his back door, declared there WAS no crisis. Too much truth is filtering down to the American people and liberals need to do some massive lying on camera to try and counteract it.

To retrofit every building in the USA in 10 years would require over 44,000 buildings retrofitted each and every day, 7 days a week for the entire 10 years.
And the technology hasn’t been invented yet to retrofit these buildings so as to achieve the goals stated in the Green Deal plan!

@Nan G: How much has 500 miles of high speed rail cost in California? Yeah, let’s do THAT all across the nation. It’ll be a bargain!

@DrJohn:

and so it begins….

@DrJohn: glub, glub, glub. On time and under budget.

@Deplorable Me: How much has 500 miles of high speed rail cost in California? Yeah, let’s do THAT all across the nation. It’ll be a bargain!

Today new CA gov, Newsom announced he’s cancelling the high speed rail project for CA.
He actually said he has no intention of returning any of the Federal money he has for it, a total of $1.3 Billion he intends to steal.

@Nan G: Well, with a corrupt, collapsing liberal government, they can hardly afford it. I’m sure Mrs. Ed could do much better.
