Mueller tips off CNN about Roger Stone raid

CNN was the only news outlet to capture footage of Trump-confidant Roger Stone’s arrest Friday morning, raising allegations that they were tipped off to the impending raid by the FBI or the grand jury handling the case.

Stone was arrested early Friday morning at his home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida after being indicted by a grand jury on charges brought by special counsel Robert Mueller. Dramatic footage captured by a lucky CNN producer shows the FBI surrounding Stone’s home in an armed raid and pounding on Stone’s front door.

The seemingly too-perfect scenario of CNN being the only outlet on scene as the FBI raidedStone’s home sparked allegations that CNN had been tipped off to the arrest. Many wondered why a raid was necessary in the first place — Jordan Schatchel of Blaze TV called the scenario an “excessive show of force.”

Ah. More of that tight ship, no leaks Mueller operation. He must be REALLY desperate for attention, needing to scramble a film team to document his brave, courageous armed assault on a guy on a cane.

Mueller is such an honorable guy.

@Deplorable Me: He just got fresh tax payer dollar extension in his trough, the left was expecting the”report” to impeach Trump with. Something had to justify the extra time, who would have seen this coming at the beginning of an election cycle?
Looks like they are going after a heavily armed terrorist holed up with a 50 cal.
Less than 6 foot tall 66 year old author and political commentator made a prediction using news stories and experience, much like Mark Levin when he used the reporting from MSM to point out unmasking and FISA court use.

@kitt: Update Stone is out on 250K bond, surrounded by MSM. Guess they needed cover fot the week of fake news reports.
Another Trump advisor giving full cooperation bootjacked by agents in full tactical gear ho hum…

@kitt: This guy has such a dangerous, violent past that it was necessary for him to be arraigned in shackles on his hands and feet. What a circus. Only an idiot doesn’t see the transparent spectacle.

But, get this: I had put the TV on Fox to watch his new conference. The din of the screaming, yelling, threats and insults was overwhelming. You could not hear Stone’s attorney or him speak. Well, my wife had the DVR scheduled to record two programs, so it had to switch over to one of them. It went to CBS where she was recording a mind-atrophying soap opera, part of which was pre-empted by this news conference (giggle).

Well, Lo! and behold, the shouts were still audible, but not as loud. You could hear everything Stone and his attorney said. So, obviously, the DNC’s ANTIFA shout squad was strategically positioned to drown out Fox’s coverage. They apparently don’t worry about any other’s coverage since their spokes-liars will dutifully tell the viewers what they heard and what they should think about what they heard.

The CNN producer explains just after the 2:40 video time stamp why they already had this Nixonian cartoon character’s house staked out.

@kitt:

Guess they needed cover fot the week of fake news reports.

Exactly. CNN has been Mueller’s team’s go to MSM outlet for leaks so someone returned the favor by tipping them off so they can claim to be oh so smart “journalists” in order to try and repair the huge damage they did to themselves with their Covington lie. It also takes attention away from that debacle. Team Mueller’s gift to Pravda.

As others have pointed out, the military sent 25 heavily armed SEALs to take out OBL. The swamp sent 12 heavily armed SWAT team members to arrest someone for a few alleged process crimes. And we can expect a heavily armed SWAT team to be showing up to arrest HRC for her illegal server and compromising national security in 1, 2, 3……

@Greg:
CNN and Mueller sitting in a tree

K-I-S-S-I-N-G

Media and Mueller, an illicit marriage

Equals a vast justice miscarriage.

Why does “honorable” Mueller insist on armed raids and arrests in chains of people that have never denied him any interviews or evidence? Sure makes for great television, doesn’t it!

@Deplorable Me, #7:

Presumably you understand that no indictment or arrest warrant was issued on Roger Stone without having first submitted convincing argument and evidence before a Grand Jury.

Nor does Robert Mueller determine the FBI’s arrest protocol. He hasn’t been part of the FBI since 2013.

Trump and Stone are reality TV. Mueller is one of the places where they meet with actual reality.

The indictment document; United States vs. Roger Jason Stone, Jr.

Mueller’s Grand Jury didn’t get a 6-month extension just for this. More is coming.

@Deplorable Me: I’ll admit I had Stone figured wrong. I always thought of him as a self promoting loud mouth blowhard just like Jim Acosta. Little did I know he must be some bad ass to send all that firepower after him. He must be the real life version of one of those characters Steven Seagal always plays.

@Greg:

Presumably you understand that no indictment or arrest warrant was issued on Roger Stone without having first submitted convincing argument and evidence before a Grand Jury.

Oh… like the “convincing argument” made to the FISA court? No, Greg, no such thing can be taken for granted any more, thanks to Obama, Lynch, Comey, Hillary and Mueller, just to name a few. Once this little episode is over, if it ever is, a lot of reconstructive surgery is needed for the American people to have faith in the FBI and DOJ ever again.

Nor does Robert Mueller determine the FBI’s arrest protocol. He hasn’t been part of the FBI since 2013.

Again, faith in protocols being followed… please see above. Long way to go.

Mueller is a notch below Jerry Springer, getting people to play parts for the entertainment of the people in the liberal Colosseum.

@another vet: Yeah, Mueller wanted an APC to roll in, but CNN vetoed that because it would block some of the camera angles.

Oh… like the “convincing argument” made to the FISA court?

No, the argument and evidence put before a Grand Jury would need to be stronger. A FISA judge would warrant surveillance and a search for evidence if convinced there is sufficient cause for suspicion to justify an investigation. A Grand Jury would have to conclude that the evidence collected and presented is likely sufficient to establish guilt in a courtroom—otherwise, the prosecutor wouldn’t be authorized to go forward with an actual indictment.

If you really believe Robert Mueller doesn’t know what he’s doing, you might want to prepare yourself for a surprise. Mueller is experienced, highly competent, and at the top of his game.

@Greg: Oh, Mueller knows EXACTLY what he is doing. He is trying to run out the clock with nonsense because his original mission to discover a crime Trump committed has failed. They’ve been on Stone for two years as well and a they can get on him is withholding evidence or the same weak shit they pinned on Gen. Flynn, not being able to cite the transcripts from months before verbatim? The charges alone, especially considering they have probably seen the same video of Hillary lying before Congress as I have, are ridiculous. Raiding this old man’s home with 27 officers armed with automatic weapons and stun grenades is an embarrassment. This is the kind of behavior we expect from totalitarian regimes, not the predominant free government in the world. We’ve definitely ceded that position to someone else.

Where’s the collusion?

@Greg: You are horribly misinformed about FISA there must be much more than suspicion, the woods procedure to verify evidence of a crime was ignored thats right evidence is needed. Everyone who signed that they had verified the evidence before the FISA court is guilty of perjury. Gossip from Barrys and Stinkys hired boys aint enough.
It is all coming out and this nazi raid is sucking up the news cycle til they can figure out a way to spin the sworn testimony.There is little question that senior officials at the FBI and Justice Department committed egregious abuses of power in obtaining the warrants and then moving forward on a baseless investigation of President Trump, now being conducted by Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

@kitt: They had evidence that showed it was highly unlikely Page was working for the benefit of the Russians yet they failed to present that to the FISA court (or even figure out that the investigation was unnecessary). These are the characteristics that Mueller sought in the people he put on his team. No honest person thinks any of these indictments have solid proof behind them.

@Deplorable Me: The Woods procedure is verification of evidence before it goes to any court. Testimony was the dossier verification was in its infancy, oh really, then what is it doing in your request for warrant Mr.Comey? Page was used for the 2 jump rule of spying. What was revealed is the whole thing was tried before without even changing many characters. except the candidate was warned, by the DOJ of the possible Russian connections. Rod did not charge Manafort, the victim of the first attempt assisted them in this attempted frame up. Hillarys lawyers Russians were pushed at Trumps campaign. The Super secret Russian meeting in the middle of NYC at the candidates Hotel.(these people dont watch enough mission impossible) Tip the doorman with a hollow coin and the Hillary dirt is on a device hidden in the coin, ok no one tips with change, a thumbdrive folded inside a dollar bill.

An interesting meme putting Mueller’s courageous raid on Stone’s redoubt in the proper perspective.

@DrJohn:

That would be what the GOP did with their endless Clinton investigations, but I don’t believe it’s what Mueller is doing. Mueller is conducting an investigation of what could be a genuine, high-level conspiracy. What has happened may turn out to be unlike anything that has occurred previously in the history of our nation. The questions he’s trying to answer transcend the usual b.s. of party politics. That’s my view, at least. I don’t even see Trump as a republican or democrat.

@Greg: You know, if the Clinton’s would not lie and stonewall, destroy evidence and have witnesses, um… “dealt with”, investigations could be concluded more rapidly.

Mueller has to first CREATE the conspiracy, THEN he “investigates” it. He’s a tool of the left, a liar and a hack.

@Deplorable Me: Its legal if you are part of the DOJ, favorie candidate of the DOJ or have something on the DOJ like maybe the CIA would. Congress doesnt have a place to refer cases of perjury or criminal activities anywhere else.
Even to be in contempt of congress is a simple case of prosecutorial discretion, run assault weapons to terrorists and drug cartels, no biggie, Eric Holder might even be chosen as a Vice President by one of the growing numbers of possible candidates.
It really is no wonder when these types slither up the ranks https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2016/aug/8/justice-department-lawyers-take-remedial-ethics-cl/

Mueller is going to continue his investigation, and then present his findings and the supporting evidence. We’ll see how that turns out.
