MSM *caught lying* about Russiagate — when irrefutable evidence emerges debunking their lies — they ignore it. How is that not contemptible?

Thread by Glenn Greenwald:

Good morning. I’d like to make 3 points:

1) The vast majority of disinformation, propaganda and lies that flooded the country over the last 5 years did not come from MAGA boomers on Facebook or 4Chan teenagers but the largest and most influential liberal corporate media outlets.

2) These are not cases where media outlets erred. They deliberately lied. The way to know that is they refuse to acknowledge evidence proving they lied.

Remember they just *ignored* @SchreckReports
‘ book proving the Biden emails were real. Now this:

3) By far the best and most accurate reporting on all matters relating to Russiagate came not from the liberal corporate outlets that want to censor the internet in the name of disinformation or which shower themselves with Pulitzers for lies, but from the right-wing press.

4) The reporters who know most about Russiagate and did distinguished facts from lies —
@ChuckRossDC, @MZHemingway, @JerryDunleavy along with a few young journalists who risked their careers in left-wing media: @aaronjmate &
@mtracey– are the ones you’ve been told to ignore.

5) A few people objected to my statement yesterday that hatred of them is just.

Think about this: they spent weeks before the 2020 election spreading the CIA lie that the Biden emails were “Russian disinformation,” but when a POLITICO reporter disproved that, they ignored his book.

6) These are the world’s most pompous, smug, self-righteous people. They never stop telling they’re the guardians of democracy and truth.

But then when they get *caught lying* — when irrefutable evidence emerges debunking their lies — they ignore it. How is that not contemptible?

7) I’ve been a vocal critic of liberal corporate media since I began writing 15 years ago – it’s why I started – and especially so the last 5 years.

But that escalated when they just *ignored*
@SchreckReports’ book proving they lied about the Biden emails.

8) We all know exactly which outlets and media personalities spent the weeks before the 2020 election spreading the CIA’s lie: the Biden emails were “Russian disinformation.” They know who they are. How do they sleep knowing they lied about this, then ignoring this book proving it??

9) And now that the real facts about the bullshit Russiagate fraud are finally emerging — the people who concocted it are getting arrested and the media propagandists they used are exposed — this is the only acknowledgment and self-critique we’re going to get. Just: “whoops”:

10) One key point I omitted: no discussion of the Russiagate fraud and the media’s role is complete without highlighting their key partners in all of this: the security state services (CIA/FBI/NSA/DOJ).

The most under-discussed media story of this decade is how they all but merged.

11) See here for a graphic illustration: the most popular liberal media figure and her literal colleague, the ex-CIA Director, somehow employed by a major “news” outlet without shame, muse on whether Trump is guilty of “treason” because he serves Russia:

I’ve been saying it for a long time: the corrupt liberal media. Because, that’s what they are. They are not in the business to serve the American people or keep the government honest. They are now in the business to serve the Democrat party and usher the republic into the era of socialism.

Nothing expresses this more clearly than the laptop story. 17% of the 50 million or so that actually voted for idiot Biden said that had they known of the information on that laptop, they wouldn’t have voted for the idiot. That is using propaganda to alter the course of an election. It is exactly what Dan Rather tried to do with his fabricated memo on Bush’s National Guard service, but he was sloppy and got caught. Had the media been honest, the Democrats would have needed 17% more fraud to appear to win and that might have been too much to ignore.

Democrats, you survive only by the power of your lies. The media is, of course, an arm of the Democrats and only through the lies the liberal media promotes and the truths they hide does the Democrat party live on to continue undercutting the freedoms and rights US citizens have enjoyed.

The liberal media is not going to admit to their lies; lying is their business and if they intentionally destroy their own credibility (they actually believe it survives), they are OUT of business.

Just like President Trump said, the left wing press is an enemy of the American people and America.
They are disgusting and anti American.

Well, he said “fake news”… but same thing. That’s all they are.

Lying by telling lies as well as lying by omission.
I recently spoke with a supposedly well-informed Lefty who watches and “scans on his phone” News from Lefty sources all day every day.
Guess what?
He hadn’t heard even one word about Fauci and the beagles!

Then they are shocked because all the sources of the information are “right wing”, merely meaning they aren’t a member of the left wing propaganda machine. Usually they whip out some left-wing site that rates the political bent of the sites… as if THAT isn’t propaganda. When I see them put CNN as just barely left of center, I disregard. But the fact is, none of their left wing sites are providing information that isn’t beneficial to the left.

For instance, I provided several links to articles about the Rittenhouse shootings to some lefties on NYT. Of course, the sources were the issues, not the facts. I provided the article showing the FBI video of Rittenhouse but they complain that it is “Zero Hedge”, as if they shot the video. Not only are they ignorant, but they are conditioned and indoctrinated to remain and KEEP themselves ignorant. I don’t think many have the courage to face the facts. I imagine it would be massive shock, after all the propaganda they’ve consumed. I compare it to the German citizens coming to their realizations once the Nazi propaganda stopped after the war.

We Are Finally Uncovering the Center of the Scandal of the Steele Dossier

Commentary

“Those who lack delicacy hold us in their power.”

I have always liked that mot from the English essayist William Hazlitt.

I’d wager Hillary Clinton and her minions, very much including the discredited spook Christopher Steele, like it too.

For how long did “the Steele dossier,” that rancid pile of anti-Trump lies, rumors, fantasies, and fabrications monopolize the public’s attention?

Remember, it took more than a year before we learned that the dossier was not a dossier, i.e., a collection of basically verified information about a subject, but merely opposition “research,” i.e., completely unsubstantiated stories, covertly paid for by the Hillary Clinton campaign.

Thousands of news stories were published about the Steele Dossier. Journalists picked over its every allegation, pretending to weigh each charge and track down every outlandish story.

The entire apparat of the FBI, aided by our so-called “intelligence” agencies wheeled into action.

Poor, doddering Robert Mueller, who claimed at a Congressional hearing not to be familiar with “Fusion GPS,” the group that siphoned money from the Clinton campaign, via the Perkins Coie law firm, to Steele, was the titular head of an investigation that lasted for well nigh two years.

Mueller’s extended inquiry, which came up with no evidence of collusion between Donald Trump and the Russians, cost the American taxpayers some 40 million dollars.

It also destroyed the lives and careers of several Trump allies.

But speaking of lacking delicacy, just a few weeks ago Christopher Steele sat for a highly touted interview on Hulu with the Clinton apparatchik George Stephanopoulos.

That embarrassing performance was billed in advance as finally, at last, vindicating the dossier.

It did nothing of the kind.

Had Steele, had Stephanopoulos, had Hulu had any delicacy, they would not have engaged in that farce.

But they lacked delicacy, and so television audiences were treated to another overproduced sack of lies and misrepresentations.

Now the painstaking John Durham, of whose investigation into corruption surround the Russia Collusion investigation I had despaired, has begun to deliver the goods.

In September, in a 27-page document, Durham indicted Michael Sussmann, a Clinton confident and lawyer for Perkins Coie, for lying to the FBI.

At the time, people commented on the length and detail of the indictment, speculating that it was merely “the tip of the iceberg” in Durham’s investigation.

Durham’s indictment of Igor Danchenko, the Russian who provided Steele with most of the dirt he complied in his dossier, marks a whole new chapter in the Trump-Russia phantasmagoria.

Like many journalists, I have written scores of articles on the long-running anti-Trump entertainment.

Several times, I compared it to an onion, since no sooner had we peeled back one layer to expose new actors than another layer would be peeled back to expose yet newer characters hitherto unknown to the public.

Remember when we first learned about the FBI love birds Peter Strzok and Lisa Page? Remember when Joseph Mifsud’s name first surfaced? Or Stefan Halper’s?

For a nano-second, George Papadopoulos, a minor Trump campaign aide, was held up as the fons et origo of the Trump-Russia narrative. The New York Times told us so.

But perhaps now, at last, we are getting to the real center of the onion that is the Steele Dossier, which in turn was the primary motor of the whole Trump-Russia investigation.

The chief thing to appreciate, as Kimberly Strassel noted in a superb summary, is that the Steele Dossier really should be called “the Clinton Dossier.”

Steele got his information from Danchenko. But, as Strassel notes, “the bigger story of the indictment is Democrats’ central role in every aspect of the dossier and the FBI investigation.”

Danchenko fed various lies, rumors, and fabrications to Steele.

But he in turn got most of those premasticated fabrications from Charles Dolan another Clinton apparatchik, who is identified as “PR Executive-1” in Durham’s indictment.

The indictment alleges that in August 2016, Danchenko asked Dolan for any “thought, rumor, allegation” about the resignation of Paul Manafort, Trump former campaign manager, because he, Danchenko, was working on a “project against Trump.”

This is where it gets interesting, or at least surreal.

Danchenko was not a high-level Kremlin operative as Steele said his sources were. He was an anti-Trump employee of the Brookings Institution in Washington.

As for Dolan, he just made stuff up. He said in an email he had a drink with a “GOP friend of mine who knows some of the players” who provided some of the information he supplied.

As Strassel points out, bits from the email “appear nearly verbatim in the Steele dossier, though they are (hilariously) sourced to a ‘close associate of TRUMP.’ ”

Not only that: “the indictment says the Dolan later told the FBI he had fabricated meeting a GOP friend and had simply passed on info he had read in the press.”

Strassel is right: “The Clinton dossier should go down as one of the biggest scandals in U.S. political history. Not just for the breadth of the con, but for the time it has taken to expose it.”

“One of the biggest.” Right alongside of the Clinton dossier is the Jan. 6 insurrection hoax.

That too is plenty big and will be plenty hard to expose.

In the fulness of time, however, I suspect that future historians will conclude that, in essence, the Jan. 6 episode is not entirely separable from the Russia Collusion hoax.

They were cut from the same cloth, involve many of the same players, and their enemy is not just Donald Trump but the populist spirit that brought him to power and, for one brief moment, seemed to be making America great again.

More amazing is that those who pushed these known lies and continue to defend them believe they have any credibility on any other topic.

The DNC rigged their own primary in 2016 (and probably 2020).

We all knew rigging the actual Presidential election was a matter of time.

I call on all honest Americans to start calling on your state governments to make elections fair and free: no ballot harvesting, Zucks Bucks should be outlawed, like in Florida, and no volunteers should be allowed to go rig the election by handholding a poor person 20 feet to the ballot box.

It’s time to clean house of the Democrat-sponsored anti-democracy filth.

Glenn Greenwald lost my attention when point 1 of 3 was a bald-faced lie.

Glenn Greenwald lost your attention when he stayed true to objective reality and facts, rather than Party-loyal delusions and lie.

You and your Party are losing followers, by the second.

Are you going to have enough to get us ALL into the railcars?

“Glenn Greenwald lost my attention when point 1 of 3 was a bald-faced lie.”

Here, let me fix that for you.

“Glenn Greenwald lost my attention when point 1 of 3 slapped me upside the head with a bitter fact I could not face, so I just maintained my willful ignorance.”

“The Press” has been liberal bigots telling antiAmerican lies for at least 70 years! Likely longer!
