Ever use one of those magnetic screens on a patio door?
The snap, snap, snap, snap closed all the way up or down after you open the screen and walk thru.
Our DNA is just like that, until a prion or spike protein enters the nucleus.

You get all the nearby magnets on both sides attracted to that one strong magnet, causing a clump instead of a smooth door.
The brain plays constant games of telephone, sending messages from, say, the eyes to the foot (like when a light changes from green to red).
That game of telephone is screwed up by one clumped brain cell’s nucleus on that path.
Your brain is smart enough to replace a DEAD cell, but this call is NOT DEAD.
So, you lose your ability to do whatever the affected pathway was supposed to have you do.
Enough of these and you are “senile,” “demented,” even accident-prone or clumsy.
