Mid-crisis, Democrat Super PAC to Spend $5 Million Attacking Trump over Coronavirus

Loading

A Democratic Party-aligned super PAC plans to spend $5 million on digital advertising to attack President Donald Trump’s handling of the coronavirus outbreak — even as the nation struggles with the growing public health threat.

The Washington Post reported Tuesday:

A Democratic super PAC said Tuesday it would spend $5 million on digital advertising flaying President Trump for his response to the novel coronavirus, one of several groups that planned to devote resources to this type of messaging.

McGowan said it was critical for outside groups like hers to exact a political price on Trump as his possible Democratic opponents, former vice president Joe Biden and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), aim to project leadership by staying above the fray.

Biden and Sanders have hardly stayed “above the fray.” Neither has offered support to the president, and both have been scathing in their attacks.

Biden — who called Trump’s January travel ban on China “hysterical” and “racist” — criticized the president and released his own plan, while opposing travel bans from China, Europe, “or any other part of the world.”

Sanders called for Trump to be replaced on the coronavirus issue by “experts” and Congress — and said he should be “shut up.”

Former Democratic Party presidential candidate Andrew Yang took a different approach on Tuesday, offering his support to the White House as it considered a temporary, emergency version of his signature campaign idea: $1,000 per month to each American household.

The DNC slogan should be “Millions For Lies, Not One Penny For Lives”.

Can’t Bloomberg give everyone a million dollars so they don’t have to worry about going to work?

I’m reasonably sure that the purpose of super PACs are to financially attack apolitical opponents.

Funny thing how right wingers have taken on this “leave us alone” mantra. Moscow Mitch is crying because he doesn’t think Amy McGrath should be running ads at this time. Trump blames democrats for his own induced coronavirus hoax. Republicans use silly tactics on the floor to wrongly accuse Pelosi of demanding corona money for abortions.

Your Mango God King has lied and drug his feet after destroying basic government functions that could have expedited a remedy, then lied some more, shifted the blame to others, then lied some more, all with the assistance of Fox News and his own evil party. And then lied some more.

After 3 years of brutal divisiveness, partisan hate spewing, and no signs of competence, honesty, or reaching across the aisle, the likes of Breitbart thinks Democrats should be all nice- as if Trump has a clue what he’s doing.

And this is while Republicans like Dingbat Louie Golmert and Nutjob Rand Paul are the ones holding up stimulus efforts- after Moscow Mitch finally got back after his comfy weekend off.

I see the toilet backed up again.

@Deplorable Me: Be nice, our Bernie beggar just saw his candidate crash and Bern. All with child-like minds lash out when they dont get a trophy.

@kitt: Bernie better drop out soon or all his fascist followers won’t have time to get their sky-screaming and rampant violence out of their system in time to vote for Gropin’ Genius Quid Pro Quo Joe.

@Ronald J. Ward: These “damage control” posts aren’t working, bub. No one’s buying it any more. The globalist scheme failed, so…better move on.

We have a world crisis right now that everyone is combating except for Leftists like you, and your party. It WILL be remembered.

@Deplorable Me: A good read how damaged the Democrat socialists left important departments of this bloated government.

@kitt: Wow…

But in true fashion, when the Dems are caught mismanaging, they accuse Trump of mismanaging…

Oh how the Obama-Era house of cards has fallen…as most of us knew it would.

@Nathan Blue:

You again say incredibly stupid stuff which you cannot back up at any level.

As far as no one buying it, Trump’s overall approval polls beg to differ. His approval on handling Trumpvirus has tanked. More people are no longer buying that he’s up for the job.

What this blog and you are doing is simply abetting the Trump machine of rewriting the history of the past 3 months-which is very damning for you Mango God King in which they are in full blown damage control mode.

Trump hates the New York times because they provide facts about him. Here are a few of their recent facts.

1) Numerous states made frantic early requests for equipment and help that went largely unheard and unmet. It was only last week, after an internal report shook up officials with its harrowing predictions of 18 months of hardships ahead, that the federal government pivoted to treating these state requests much more seriously.

2) Numerous federal agencies — such as the Army Corps of Engineers and parts of the Defense Department — have not been pressed into service in a serious way, more than eight weeks in. As the Times puts it: “Much of that capacity is untapped.”

3) Trump’s apparent decision to put the Health and Human Services in charge of the response may have hampered the role FEMA should be playing, even though FEMA “traditionally is designed as the lead federal agency during major disasters to take requests from individual states.”

4) Several states put in requests for masks, and received far less than requested — and many were beyond their expiration date. As one Democratic governor put it: “We’ve been contacting this administration every single day since then and we have received nothing. Zip. Zero.”

These are a few of many facts you and Breitbart, The Federalistpapers, et al want to bang your heads on the wall and say “no, Dems are bad, everybody hates them, God Trump will win”.

And even now as Republicans are going all in socialism with their “$2K in every pot”, they themselves along with Trump are the procrastinators and manipulators of what they just recently claimed to be a “Democratic hoax”.

Remember how Bill Clinton set asie million of acres into National Monuments and Wild and Scienic Rivers whole vetoing bill to ban certain Abortions and he was Vietnam draft dodger as well Yes to the democrats inanimate things like Rocks Trees and Rivers need to be protected but the unborn let them die or murder them with Abortion

@Ronald J. Ward: Answer me this

Several states put in requests for masks, and received far less than requested — and many were beyond their expiration date.

How do masks expire? Do bandaids or toilet paper expire? How about foil wrapped alcohol wipes?
Why in hell do we pay state taxes if they are not prepared to take care of their citizens?
Having these things expire unless poorly stored in some rat infested corner is waste, yes my useful idiot it is highly wasteful.

Dave Maddux

@Ronald J. Ward: Well, like greg, when your rhetoric is dismantled, you pivot to another hoax without any real clear evidence. Spinning a crisis response to support your political lusts is pretty lame. Everything on your NYTs “list” is all dismiss-able as butthurt Democratic rhetoric, bent on standing on the backs of dead Americans to entertain their Trump Derangement. Going to be hell to pay for that, little dog. Don’t forget. No one else will.

Your belief that only Dems can give aid to average Americans has been shattered, and you can only sputter like popped balloon. Giving 2K to combat a never-seen-before viral crisis is socialism? hehe…no, that’s called leadership. Given Biden is all you have left, I can see how you might no know what that looks like.

Maybe you should go wash your hands and get a life. The hoaxes and ideologies your pushing have failed, and it’s time to move on.

Get those Leftist/Democrat balls out of your mouth, while you’re at it. This isn’t the time to be a political hate-monger.

@kitt: I wonder how much money Obama wasted on the CDC study on gun violence which, since it didn’t give him the answers he wanted and needed, he simply ignored and abandoned? I bet we could use THAT money now. But, hell, let’s blame Trump.

@Ronald J. Ward:

As far as no one buying it, Trump’s overall approval polls beg to differ. His approval on handling Trumpvirus has tanked. More people are no longer buying that he’s up for the job.

Gee, I wonder why? The bulk of the media (the part owned by the DNC) repeatedly run stories based on lies and abuse Trump’s quotes to fit their crybaby narrative. These are polls of the stupid people who maintain their stupidity by consuming stupidity-inducing liberal propaganda.

And even now as Republicans are going all in socialism with their “$2K in every pot”,

Thanks for IMMEDIATELY proving my point. The $2K proposal was promoted by… now, get ready… BERNIE SANDERS. I guess we all know where you reside on the stupidity spectrum.

By the way, while Schumer speaks before the Senate, lying and submitting to his natural instinct to be a prick, Gov. Cuomo praises and thanks Trump for the job he is doing. This is because, unlike Schumer, Cuomo bears some responsibility for what happens and he doesn’t have the luxury of playing the stupid political games the rest of you ignorant Democrats play endlessly. For instance, Schumer has not spoken out about coronavirus before now; he’s been too busy pushing impeachment for nothing and threatening Supreme Court Justices.

@kitt:

How do masks expire? Do bandaids or toilet paper expire? How about foil wrapped alcohol wipes?

EVERYTHING gets an expiration date, much of it is arbitrary. Usually it is 6 months. People have to use a little common sense in these cases and make a judgement.

Also, just like with Katrina, the federal government cannot go into a state and begin taking over until the state requests it. But liberals simply don’t have any idea what to do in times of crisis but whine and blame; they can’t THINK.

@Deplorable Me: As long as it has package integrity it is a good product to use, we are not talking pills, these whiners need to get a friggin grip.
Grand kids saying good bye for a while to their school pals today, ATT gave 2 weeks paid to Son in law, Daughter will be working from home as of today.
The little Prince turned 5 on Monday the Kung flu robbed him of a party.

@kitt: Certain chemicals definitely degrade and have valid expiration dates. However, where I worked, the stock room arbitrarily invoked expiration dates on masking take, wood glue, STRING, etc, etc. Some computer inventory systems require an expiration date to be inputted. People like AJ don’t know what common sense is or how it should be utilized.

Yeah, the “Reps now support a bailout!” meme is making the rounds at the usual Leftist propaganda outlets…CNN et al.

Easy to see where low-thinking twerps like Ron/AJ get their rabid ideas from.

@Nathan Blue: From the trough of stupid.

@kitt:

@kitt:

@Ronald J. Ward: Answer me this

Several states put in requests for masks, and received far less than requested — and many were beyond their expiration date.

How do masks expire?

Stipulated by OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134 in the U.S and CSA Standard Z94.4 in Canada.

It’s important to monitor the amount of time a respirator has been in the stockroom. As the disposable respirator sits in storage, its components – such as the strap and nosefoam – may degrade, affecting the quality of the fit and seal. These expired respirators may no longer meet the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) certification guidelines.

In order to ensure all disposable respirators are operating at their optimal levels, 3M has set shelf life guidelines. Expiration dates vary according to respirator type, filter media, other materials used in construction and date of manufacture.

On 3M disposable respirators, you can find this information on the side or bottom of the package. An hourglass icon will be nearby to help you identify the expiration date, which is different from the “factory” icon near the date of manufacture.

By the way, OSHA is another gov protection agency that Trump has weakened considerably. Because, you know, what could go wrong?

@Nathan Blue:

It’s just kinda interesting that when Rs crashed and burned the economy and left it in ruins for Democrats to pick up the pieces in 2008, they not only refused to help get it up and going but were hell bent on sabotaging it. Remember? Rush was preaching and rooting for Obama failure while Moscow Mitch was all in on making Obama a “one term president”. Best I recall, they said no to any stimulus, no to any infrastructure spending, no to extended unemployment benefits, and no to anything. If it helped the average American, hell no. They were urging the Federal Reserve not to help while chanting something about the federal deficit.

What the hell happened to that? What changed? Democrats haven’t changed. I know you say differently without evidence but in reality, they’re right there pushing again to save the economy just as they were in 2009. And whatever bill comes out, it will be with overwhelming Dem support whereas Rs were adamantly against it in 2009.

@Ronald J. Ward: Meaning they were not needed for 5 years, if stored as 3M suggested, Who was responsible for stock rotation? Why dont these states have stock piles of their own?
Another example of why you must be self reliant and not dependent on the government to wipe your ass.
Perhaps States could stock a higher quality reuseable model as replacing just the filters would be more cost effective.
Always expecting a hand out freebies to be perfect?

@Ronald J. Ward: I have some 3M masks that I found in my garage. They have to be 10 years old and have been in my garage, un-air conditioned. The foam is fine and the elastic straps are fine. Stop inventing problems; there are already enough.

It was DEMOCRAT policies that crashed the economy in 2008, by the way. I know how you value accuracy.

@kitt:

Trump world hates bureaucracy, over staffing, bloated agencies, and on and on and you want personal for “stock rotation”.

The Trump “I didn’t do it” works because of states failed stock rotation. Got it!

@Deplorable Me:

Name one.

Go ahead, I’ll wait.

It was DEMOCRAT policies that crashed the economy in 2008, by the way. I know how you value accuracy.

And here’s a heads up for you in advance. While Dems controlled the legislative branch in 2007 & 2008, GWB was in the White House. So if you do happen to find a bill you can somehow spin (which is a tall order), please explain why Dub signed it and if he did, shouldn’t he too take some responsibility.

But by all means, go ahead.

@Ronald J. Ward:

@Deplorable Me:

Name one.

Go ahead, I’ll wait.

Well, you won’t have to wait long, Chester.

The Community Reinvestment Act. It caused the housing and financial crashes and it was purely liberal social engineering.

Now, why don’t YOU provide the Bush financial policies that you believe caused the crash.

I’ll wait… probably forever.

@Deplorable Me:

No where in the Community Reinvestment Act is it written that banks were required to loan and refinance homes at 125% of the appraised value-which they chose to do.

Much of Dub and the Republican/Russian party era was about what we’re seeing now (Ttumpvirus notwithstanding). Tax breaks for the rich shifting the wealth to the top and bank deregulation at every turn. Nothing for the working man.

We were already seeing recession indicators prior to Trumpvirus. More people living paycheck to paycheck under Trump. Under Dub, they were using their mortgages as an ATM. Once GOP policies blew up in their faces, the banks were left holding these 125% maxed out loans on depreciating homes.

Bad thing about now is that Trump has used up his tool box remedies on his tax scam which exploded the deficit. I guess we’ll break out the printer?

We should have seen this coming. It always does under Republicans.

@Ronald J. Ward: Nah. You’re just using a worldwide pandemic to try and make political hay.

I know you’re desperate to stay there was a recession coming, but unfortunately for you that just isn’t true.

Once again, I’d be careful who you it meant you were foolish views to. Standing on the backs of dead coronavirus victims is going to come with heavy consequences.

Your boy Bloomberg could have saved his money and gave him every single American citizen a million dollars instead of pissing it all away.

The coronavirus isn’t the silver bullet you prayed for, junior.

@Ronald J. Ward: You can dodge and hedge all you want but it is an ESTABLISHED FACT that it was this ruinous bit of liberal social engineering that caused the recession. Republicans moved to regulate Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, but Democrats blocked it. Bush’s tax cuts provided an additional $765 billion in revenues and he had deficits steadily declining until 2008.

I see you have no Bush policies to blame. As I indicated, I am in no way surprised,

@Ronald J. Ward:

Trump world hates bureaucracy, over staffing, bloated agencies, and on and on and you want personal for “stock rotation”.
The Trump “I didn’t do it” works because of states failed stock rotation. Got it!

Each state has its own Emergency Management agency. Coastal states face hurricanes; central states, flooding and tornados, East coast, earthquakes. If you want to know what Kentucky does:

https://kyem.ky.gov/Pages/default.aspx

FEMA/State agreements generally contain a clause that says there is a 72 hour response time for any state disaster/emergency. Of course, when Texas suffered a severe hurricane and record wildfires, it took FEMA almost a week to respond.
You seem to forget we are a “federalist” form of government.

It’s just kinda interesting that when Rs crashed and burned the economy and left it in ruins for Democrats to pick up the pieces in 2008,

Oh, my, you are ignorant of history. You think a crashed economy happens just over night apparently. Perhaps you should research the Community Reinvestment Act that precipitated bad lending practices. But doing so will inform you that your “It’s all Bush’s fault” mindset is totally, TOTALLY wrong. Maybe you would like to show us what bill Bush signed that tanked the housing market (be sure to tell us if it was passed by a super majority, as well).

Of course, you could just reduce your posts to “I HATE TRUMP” and stop wasting time and energy.
