And then there’s Brian Karem, who threw a tantrum at a press conference because the press is being bullied.
The reporter who lashed out at the Trump administration on Tuesday said Wednesday that reporters have to stand up and fight President Trump’s effort to dismiss the media, and said he blew up at spokeswoman Sarah Sanders because he “can’t take it anymore.”
“For the government to sit there and undermine essentially what [are] very essential checks and balances in the system, it’s disheartening, it’s unnerving,” said reporter Brian Karem, who writes for Playboy, on MSNBC.
“I can’t take it anymore,” he said.
Vox headline: “A heroic Playboy reporter defended CNN’s honor at the White House press briefing”.
CNN, Playboy and Vox would seem to have equal amounts of honor. But why exactly does Playboy even have press credentials? There’s been much mainstream media whining about conservative journalists getting credentials. No complaints about Playboy having credentials though. That’s part of the “honorable” profession.
Anyway Karem doesn’t know anything about how checks and balances work. A bunch of corporate media outlets that toe the Dem party line is not balancing anything. Or checking anything.
And now more unbalanced and unchecked whining.
“She took the opportunity first thing off the bat to go after the media,” he said. “She was trying to go after CNN specifically and the media in general. We’ve been called the enemy of the people from that White House, we’ve been told that we’re fake news.”
“We are bullied and browbeaten every day, and I pretty much have had enough of it,” he said. “We can’t take the bullying anymore. It’s undermining the fourth estate, it’s undermining the first amendment.”
The White House criticizing the media does not undermine the first amendment. And this is America, not France, we don’t have a fourth estate.
There is no balance and all they check is any impediment to liberal political power. If the media wants to be respected as the public service they are supposed to be, they need to end their role as prime propaganda organ for the Democrat Party. As the voice of the Democrats, they are a viable target for the Republicans and Trump.
Of course Playboy should have credentials… everyone knows those magazines are only bought for the articles.

It needs to be undermined, and Trump is doing that.

Brian Karem only stated what everyone else in the press corps was thinking. They never get straight answers to straight questions; they’ve put up with incessant attacks on their person and their profession since early on in his campaign.
The bullshit from the Trump White House never ceases. What do his toadies expect? That the media will provide cover for them? After Trump declared war on the press?

Trump has told more lies since the day he was sworn in than the mainstream media did over the entire Obama presidency. What Trump hates about them is that they try to find and tell the truth.
Cable was sold as you pay a monthly fee no commercial interruptions, that never happened. But you could get up to the minute 24 hour news not have to wait until 5 pm to get the news. Every single one turned into propaganda, cancelled cable. Its so much better not supporting the BS at all.
