McConnell Claims Democrats Have “Buyer’s Remorse” After Pelosi Puts “Hold” on Impeachment

Loading

Following the House vote to pass two articles of impeachment on to the Senate for final adjudication, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi put a hold on the process: “We cannot name managers [to present our case to the Senate] until we see what the process is on the Senate side. So far, we haven’t seen anything that looks fair to us.”

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell called it a stall and a comedy:

Speaker Pelosi suggested that House Democrats may be too afraid to even transmit their shoddy work to the Senate. The prosecutors are getting cold feet in front of the entire country and [are] second-guessing whether they even want to go to trial.

They said impeachment was so urgent that it could not even wait for due process but now they’re content to sit on their hands.

It is comical.

Editors at the Wall Street Journal said Pelosi’s stall has moved the impeachment process “from folly to farce.”

McConnell said Democrats were now suffering from “buyer’s remorse”:

I am glad that leading Democrats seem to have buyer’s remorse about the least fair, least thorough, and most rushed impeachment in American history. They should. But for the sake of the country I wish this understanding had dawned on them yesterday.

The Constitution gives the House the sole power of impeachment, and the Senate the sole power to try all impeachments. It’s similar to an indictment handed to a grand jury to hear the evidence and rule on guilt or innocence. The House indicted Trump under two articles and the Senate will conduct a hearing of the evidence before voting to acquit or affirm. It’s a two-step process.

But the process can’t continue until the Senate receives the articles and hears the evidence supporting them.

According to Noah Feldman, one of the four lawyers who testified during the House impeachment hearings, “if the House does not communicate its impeachment to the Senate, it hasn’t actually impeached the president. If the articles are not transmitted, Trump could legitimately say that he wasn’t truly impeached at all.”

McConnell thinks Pelosi’s delay in transmitting the articles to the Senate is a ruse, seeking leverage over the Senate: “Some House Democrats imply they are withholding the articles for some kind of leverage. I admit, I’m not sure what leverage there is in refraining from sending us something we do not want. Alas, if they can figure that out, they can explain.”

He added:

Following weeks of pronouncements about the urgency of the situation … the prosecutors appear to have developed cold feet. Democrat prosecution seems to have gotten cold feet, and to be unsure about whether they want to proceed to the trial — like I said, a very unusual spectacle. So we’ll see whether House Democrats ever want to work up the courage to actually take their accusation to trial.

If the articles are transmitted, the Senate has two options: to vote to dismiss them out of hand and move on to other matters, or to hold a trial and acquit the president.

The president wants a trial:

So after the Democrats gave me no Due Process in the House, no lawyers, no witnesses, no nothing, they now want to tell the Senate how to run their trial.

Actually, they have zero proof of anything; they will never even show up. They want out. I want an immediate trial!

The Wall Street Journal summed up the present situation:

Accusations without evidence only works on the boobtube make believe world of cable news and editorial opinion newspapers. All the focus group brain storming accusations lets call it this, change the accusation to that ,writing the script.
What are we really left with?
How did Schiff get information on a classified call? Are remainers of Brennens CIA operating within the borders of the USA and still spying on our President? They again are lying about what the spy found.
Bidens crime was collared to Trump all he did was ask about the crime.
Democrats really hate Biden cause during the debate on the charges they kept reminding people that Trump also asked about China, dont forget China.

Want evidence? Call the witnesses who defied lawful congressional subpoenas at the order of the man accused of serious misconduct. They all know what happened. They can clarify the situation.

Otherwise, the republican-controlled Senate becomes complicit in the cover up. By the time we get to the election they will have become accessories, because the crime is still in progress.

“We cannot name managers [to present our case to the Senate] until we see what the process is on the Senate side. So far, we haven’t seen anything that looks fair to us.”

And, “what looks fair to them” is total control of the process, what is kept secret, what is made public (or leaked), the witness list, the questions that can be asked and the pace of the proceedings. I guess Nancy just woke up one day and realized that instead of taking control of the Senate in 2018, they lost three seats. McConnell calls the shots, just like Schiff did in the House. But, for Democrats, if fair for Democrats to stack the deck, but Republicans have to cede control. By every indication, McConnell is not falling for it.

@Greg:

Call the witnesses who defied lawful congressional subpoenas at the order of the man accused of serious misconduct.

Take them to court and have the court decide if the House can force a member of the President’s cabinet or staff appear. Ohhhhh…. that’s right; they had no case, they had no evidence, they had no reason and they had no authority. Damn.

McConnell says many ridiculous things.

“McConnell says” has earned about the same credibility as “Trump says”.

@Ronald J. Ward: I have to agree, over all, during his career Cocaine Mitch has been a bit of a disappointment. Not as traitorous as Paulie Ryan was.
He is right not to bend to Schumer and Pelosi’s demands as they are a direct violation of the constitution.
We dont need Trumps comments to make up our mind on who to respect in Congress, there are voting records for that.

@kitt:

He is right not to bend to Schumer and Pelosi’s demands as they are a direct violation of the constitution.

I’m not seeing he has any flexibility. Regardless of how one feels of Trump or even the process thus far, Pelosi is basically saying that as long as Moscow Mitch insists on a rigged trial, that he’ll simply gavel Trump innocent and call it a day, she isn’t going to send the articles to him.

Or perhaps you mean Mitch should not bend on demanding a rigged court?

@Ronald J. Ward:

You seem to be under the impression that San Fran Nan has anything to say about how the Senate conducts its business. She does not.

Yet you ignore the fact that the House, during its sham hearings, violated its own House rules with Schiff and Nadler making them up as they went along. You don’t seem to be bothered by those illegal actions.

The Senate has the sole responsibility of conducting the “trial” on the impeachment articles and setting its own rules on such. Not Nancy Pelosi who has managed to lose all control over her very House and is now being dictated to by the radical left. Hell, San Fran Nan hasn’t even sent the Articles of Impeachment over to the Senate. According to one left wing law professor who testified that he thinks Trump should be impeached, the impeachment by the House does not stand until the Articles of Impeachment are sent to the Senate.

Nancy Pelosi should be impeached for Obstruction of Congress.

@Ronald J. Ward: No Ron they want the Senate to do what their job was, to put together a case for impeachment, the sole power of the House. Mitch warned them, the case they would send would be dead in the water without the so called WB suspected CIA spy.
side note:
I very much would like to investigate how the 3rd most corrupt country on the planet was cleared for aid and how these decisions are actually made.
Is that in the evidence along with news articles?
He would not gavel Trump innocent, he would dismiss the case for lack of evidence and merit.

@retire05: Well, Democrats have no regard for truth, the law or the Constitution. Since the abysmal Obama administration they’ve come to believe they are entitled to always having their own way. They are also accustomed to being able to trample laws and get away with it. They also have come to believe, due to just exchanging views with other liberals that everyone is as stupid as they are, a critical failing.

@Deplorable Me: Any doubt the HOR think they have limitless power of kings?
A love letter to someone in the Executive branch

“Mr. Barr, your course of conduct makes clear your allegiances is to Donald Trump over the Department of Justice and the American people that you serve,” the letter said. “You are unfit to hold the position of Attorney General and your dedication to eroding public trust in our legal systems represents the antithesis of what a Justice Department official should be. Mr. Durham is equally as complicit in this mission and together your actions demonstrate that neither of you possess the integrity necessary to serve in the Department of Justice.”

“For those reasons, we demand your immediate resignation as Attorney General and that of U.S. attorney Durham,” the letter concluded.

The letter was signed by Reps. Hank Johnson Jr. (D-GA), Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX), Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), William Lacy Clay (D-MO), Jared Huffman (D-CA), Frank Pallone (D-NJ), Raul Grijalva (D-AZ), Steve Cohen (D-TN), Pramila Jayapal (D-WA), David Ciccilline (D-RI) and Jan Schakowsky (D-IL).

The first name is a hoot, the daughter duct taped in the basement as Guam tips over.

@Deplorable Me:

Frank Luntz did a poll session with Democrats during the last Dem debate. During that session, he asked Democrats to describe their view of conservatives with just one word. The most popular word was “ignorant.”

We were not the ones that believed Obama was going to give us free phones and put gas in our vehicles. We were not the ones that believed there were all these “shovel ready jobs” just waiting to be filled or that we could keep our doctors/medical health plans if we liked them. We were not the ones who accepted that Nancy Pelosi, et al, had to pass Obamacare before we could find out what was in the bill. We were not the ones who believed that the emails destroyed by Hillary were just about yoga and wedding plans. Yet, to them, we are ignorant.

@kitt:

The first name is a hoot, the daughter duct taped in the basement as Guam tips over.

Don’t forget the second name of “planting that little flag on Mars” fame. I’m surprised the impeached judge, now a Congressman, didn’t sign on, as well.

@kitt: Can you detect the sense of fear in that letter? Yeah, Barr is not allied with the deep state so he’s not doing his “job”… which is to run cover for their corruption.

The first name is a hoot, the daughter duct taped in the basement as Guam tips over.

And Trump should be impeached for being too tall.

@retire05:

We were not the ones who accepted that Nancy Pelosi, et al, had to pass Obamacare before we could find out what was in the bill.

Well, that WAS true. THEY didn’t even know what was in it and, behold, the American people hated it.

@retire05: @kitt:

I do understand the process and I apologize for the redundancy here as we all should know that the House responsibility is that of an inquire, to indict (aka impeach) or not to and if so, send to the Senate for a trail.

Again, regardless of how you feel about the indictment process, the trail process has already been a confirmed acquittal, regardless of anything.

No Ron they want the Senate to do what their job was, to put together a case for impeachment, the sole power of the House.

Not true. They don’t want the Senate to block witnesses and testimony.

The Senate has the sole responsibility of conducting the “trial” on the impeachment articles and setting its own rules on such.

That’s certainly a vague description and leaves open a lot of options for the Senate including simply gaveling Trump innocent on the spot. At the end of the day, this seems to be exactly what the Trump base wants to see. This would literally render any seating President to be above the law. And while I realize this concept is suitable for much of the Trump base, just think what could come about when a democrat takes control.

And it just seems mighty strange that Rs cried that Ds were moving too fast and now all of a sudden crying because of a delay. Contradicting themselves further, Lindsay and Moscow Mitch are both saying and demanding the exact opposite in senatorial impeachment proceedings than they did with Bill Clinton.

So yeah, you can go on and on about how poor ole Trump was picked on by the mean evil dems despite the overwhelming evidence and the endorsement of many major editorials and the acknowledgement of over 700 constitutional scholars and the long list of credible historians and even the conservative CT Evangelical magazine. And I realize that a Trump licker will remain a staunch Trump licker even if he booted Pence and picked Putin for his running mate (along with a sharpie marked birth certificate to prove his citizenship) but I don’t see Pelosi with the losing hand here. For 1, Rs have spun in circles on a credible defense for Trump. And it should be obvious that there’s information that Rs do not want reviled. The longed this goes on, the louder the “what do they have to hide” question gets.

@Ronald J Ward:

Contradicting themselves further, Lindsay and Moscow Mitch are both saying and demanding the exact opposite in senatorial impeachment proceedings than they did with Bill Clinton.

How so?

@Ronald J Ward:

And it just seems mighty strange that Rs cried that Ds were moving too fast and now all of a sudden crying because of a delay.

I know this is the line they are feeding you, actually we are laughing, it was an urgent matter of national security that Trump gets removed, urgent look up the definition. Because Queen Pelosi cant control the process of the Senate it suddenly is delayed.
They want new witnesses ones they couldnt be bothered to compel through the legal branch to depose.
What witnesses and rock solid evidence convinced the house to vote impeachment should be enough, perfect and complete. Do you see why we laugh.
When Clinton was impeached it was done with evidence gathered over a much much longer timeline by an independent prosecutor.
This was much more like the Impeachment of Johnson, politicians with a difference of ideology looking for any reason.

@retire05:

Good lord retire05, you’re sounding a lot like my stalker. If you don’t know by now, why would you believe a link.

Clinton impeachment clips of Moscow Mitch and Lindsay have been a viral explosion all over Facebook, youtube, left blogs, non-Fox News media, etc.

But let me guess, unless I take you by the hand and provide this info, I’m a liar or such, right?

@kitt:

You can laugh all you like but Rs hiding and dodging as will as their hypocrisy will haunt them for years to come. And like it nod not, the longer it drags out, the more exposure to the voters of that.

When Clinton was impeached it was done with evidence gathered over a much much longer timeline by an independent prosecutor.

You do know I hope, that Rs didn’t initially go after Clinton for his sexual shenanigans. It was something that finally stuck to the wall-which is 1 of the huge reasons it didn’t set well with the electorate.

@Ronald J Ward:

A non answer is not an answer. You stated:

Contradicting themselves further, Lindsay and Moscow Mitch are both saying and demanding the exact opposite in senatorial impeachment proceedings than they did with Bill Clinton.

I’m asking YOU how so. Not searching for video links that you might think substantiates your claim. And no, I did not call you a liar. I just expect people to back up their claims that you never seem to want to do. All you seem capable of is insulting those who support President Trump and calling them names.

You’re a typical left wing obfuscator.

@Ronald J Ward:

You do know I hope, that Rs didn’t initially go after Clinton for his sexual shenanigans. It was something that finally stuck to the wall-which is 1 of the huge reasons it didn’t set well with the electorate.

Yes we know of the Clinton crime spree while they occupied the White House.
His Perjury with DNA is what the media found sold papers and kicked up ratings, sex sells. Vince Foster, Charles Ruff, Ron Brown, Kathy Ferguson and others could not be summoned with a subpoena.

@Ronald J Ward:

Not true. They don’t want the Senate to block witnesses and testimony.

Oh… right. They no doubt see that as THEIR job.

@retire05: Um…. AJ doesn’t do answers. He only does stupidity.

@retire05:

Lindsay then and now

.

So just a few and there’s more.

Did you not know this? Fake news? Born after 1999?

Rs are singing a different tune and of course, lying like a box full of Donald Trumps. The longer it goes before they’re allowed to gavel Trump an instant acquittal, the more expose it becomes.

… says the guy that supports Bill Clinton even though he raped and abused women and supports an impeachment based entirely on nothing BUT lies.

Snore

@Ronald J. Ward: The ax swings both ways from the Clinton trial, both sides seem to have swapped shoes.
There was sufficient evidence for an impeachment trial, including DNA.

@kitt:

Obviously, we could argue the merits or lack of the Trump impeachment and it would gain either of us nothing. I would think that on at least that, we can agree.

The ax swings both ways from the Clinton trial, both sides seem to have swapped shoes.

That sounds like an admission that Republicans are now hypocrites, providing of course that democrats are too?

@Ronald J. Ward: Just about every politician is a hypocrite doest need provisions, both sides write and pass unconstitutional laws. Only very few try to keep promises made.

@kitt:

And you believe Moscow Mitch and Moscow’s Bitch (Trump) are the exception of the hypocrites and keep their promises?

@Ronald J. Ward:

“McConnell says” has earned about the same credibility as “Trump says”.

Ah yes…propaganda points given from Pelosi herself.

Mitch=Don.

Funny how your party lost Tulsi after accusing her of being a Russian Asset, and also vilifies Yang; one of the few viable candidates they have.

How long are the Dems going to marginalize women and minorities, now that the Black community has realized they’ve been in mental Democrat slavery for decades?

And I see your diction has changed a bit. Is this a flexible bot account, used by several operatives?

But good job on the rhetoric. You’re really turning the tide in the hearts and minds of Americans, posting to those of us who see you as a joke. And your points match up beautifully with the Dem/media talking point of the day. Bravo.

@Ronald J. Ward: Mitch grade F or 30% score on voting record. There are democrats with more conservative voting records. see comment 5.
He is up for re-election 2020 and wants to ride Trump’s coattails.
I was very disappointed that Trump signed the spending spree, they dangled a shiny object in front of him, his promise of Spaceforce.

Nathan: Trump=everyone of his voters they dislike all of us as much as they dislike Trump.
Nothing better to offer.

@Nathan Blue:

Ronald J. Ward- “McConnell says” has earned about the same credibility as “Trump says”.

Nathan Blue- “How long are the Dems going to marginalize women and minorities, now that the Black community has realized they’ve been in mental Democrat slavery for decades?”

Ronald J. Ward- uh, what?

@Nathan Blue: Notice how whiny little Obama/Bill/Hillary/Pelosi/Schiff worshipers can readily accept the fact that these are all proven absolute liars yet believe everything not having the Blatant Liberal Lie Approval stamp is deemed false? THIS is how they manage to make such stupid decisions when voting.

AJ forgets Obama lying about Fast and Furious, Obamacare, IRS targeting, Benghazi, Iran, spying, “stimulus” and, basically, everything else he spoke about? AJ forgets Hillary lying about foreign contributions, Benghazi, emails, uranium and every other word out of her criminal mouth? AJ forgets about Schiff lying about all the evidence he had proving Trump colluded with Russians, FISA warrants, Trump’s phone call, bribery, extortion, abuse of power and obstruction. AJ forgets about Pelosi lying about pushing impeachment, funding the wall, ethics and supporting the Constitution? I guess that’s what one would expect from a liar.

Don’t confuse AJ with complex statements.

@Nathan Blue: You can see by Wards response they are blind to their own racism and sexism. Treating everyone as equals escapes them. They will always look at them as lesser creatures that cant be free to win or lose on their own.

@kitt: They aren’t blind to it; they embrace it, but know it is wrong and pretend to not be aware of it. Their racism and sexism is a vital part of their agenda because they use it to control, intimidate and attack. AJ has done it itself right here.

@Deplorable Me: Can you help but see this impeachment is running exactly as the Mueller probe?
Where are the Russians/evidence.
Go to court the evidence/WB is super secret cant hand it over.
Mueller/Democrats thats not how this works, thats not how any of this works.
So Mr Mueller/Democrats you bring an indictment/impeachment and you refuse to present the evidence?
Judge/Senate Case dismissed gavel down

@kitt: When their attack is bases solely on lies, they ALL turn out the same. We have an amazing system of government; even though the enemies of our Republic throw corrupt government, corrupt media and foreign interference at it, truth and justice is still protecting the Constitution, though by a thin margin of a few seats in the Senate.

It is disappointing that the so-called “intellectual elite” can’t see that, while they frantically proclaimed a rushed impeachment was a dire national security necessity and then they just sit on it while they guzzle their Christmas (er, sorry… HOLIDAY) cheer, impeachment has had no other purpose but to damage Trump’s Presidential reelection campaign. If there is a way to prove it, everyone that voted FOR impeachment should be prosecuted for obstruction and abuse of power.

@Deplorable Me: Nancy quickly dusted off the trade deal trying to take full credit for its creation to dull the senses of their sheep. Shoving the budget at Trump more obstruction, revenge if he vetoed it.
Her fascist ploy trying to control processes of the Senate.
They deny any form of due process, they destroy the traditional means by which impeachments are pursued, they come up with two completely bogus articles of impeachment, they shut down minority rights — the other party’s rights — they shut down the right of the accused, in this case the president, from confronting his accuser, from having a lawyer present during secret testimony, and from providing witnesses as well as evidence.”
Virginia is learning a hard lesson about electing Facists , threaten them with military action if they exercise their rights under both the U.S. and Virginias Constitutions.

@kitt:

Kitt- “You can see by Wards response they are blind to their own racism and sexism. Treating everyone as equals escapes them. They will always look at them as lesser creatures that cant be free to win or lose on their own.”

@Ronald J. Ward:

Ronald J. Ward- uh, what?

That about sums it up.

@Ronald J. Ward:

“McConnell says” has earned about the same credibility as “Trump says”.

Since you missed it:

Ah yes…propaganda points given from Pelosi herself.

Mitch=Don.

Bravo.

@Nathan Blue:

I guess my point was that your added accusations of Dems “marginalize women and minorities” was not only off topic but pretty rich at a time when both Mitch and Donald are working overtime and on steroids loading the federal courts with young unqualified pro-rape (Neome Rao comes to mind for 1), racist, and anti-worker/pro-theft wage lifetime judges.

You’re beginning to sound more like Saint Mitch and Saint Donald. And it’s highly unlikely you even know it.

@retire05:

And another one since you seem to have tucked tailed and run while leaving it to your proteges to distract, a 2008 interview with Trump and Wolf Blitzer:

Trump: When she (Pelosi) first got in and was named speaker, I met her. And I’m very impressed by her. I think she’s a very impressive person, I like her a lot. But I was surprised that she didn’t do more in terms of Bush and going after Bush. It was almost—It just seemed like she was really going to look to impeach Bush and get him out of office. Which personally I think would have been a wonderful thing.

Blitzer: Impeaching him?

Trump: For the war. Well, he lied. He got us into the war with lies. And I mean, look at the trouble Bill Clinton got into with something that was totally unimportant. And they tried to impeach him, which was nonsense. And yet Bush got us into this horrible war with lies, by lying. By saying they had weapons of mass destruction, by saying all sorts of things that happened not to be true.

@Ronald J. Ward: Uh..everything you post here is “off-topic”, little dog. I’m really not surprised if you can’t keep up.

And if your party would have won in 2016, it would have filled the courts with liberal judges. The Dems are by the part the more partisan of the two parties.

And like every Democrat and their rabid followers, you slit you’re own throat when accusing others of blind obedience…when you are oblivious to things you’re allowing your party to promote.

But hey, I’m totally open to voting for someone better than Trump. Who do you suggest? I’d consider Gabbard or Yang, but your party’s elite are too old and too white to let that happen.

Bitching like a…well, a bitch…on FA does nothing for your cause. If you want to change the country, get Trump out, then go do something useful. Give independents like me a real alternative.

Right now, your party is broken. If Trump did anything like Pelosi, you’d be bitching about it.

You’ll just ignore any points and go back to “Trump could kill a baby and you wouldn’t care!”

Run on home, boy.

@Ronald J. Ward: Funny how Trump actually had a history to criticize, instead of no accomplishments and sealed records..because the Dem party are masters of proof-texting clips like your above nonsense and saying “gotcha”.

So, he liked Pelosi 12 years ago. So? That means nothing.
So, he criticized Bush and thought he lied about the war…So? That means nothing.

And I mean, look at the trouble Bill Clinton got into with something that was totally unimportant.

And now there an impeachm…er…something being leveled at him even more unimportant and without any real proof (Clinton perjured and that wasn’t open to partisan interpretation.

Ultimately, it wasn’t worth it to remove Clinton…just as it isn’t to continue with the impeachment farce.

Glad we got back to the point after your usual off-topic rants.

@Nathan Blue: The Democrats have become their voters, do it for me I am entitled.
I think the lawfare ambulance chasers told them their subpoenas were going to be denied so they blame Trump. They ran to the courts for everything else Trump did why not to get the witnesses?

@Nathan Blue:

So, he liked Pelosi 12 years ago. So? That means nothing.
So, he criticized Bush and thought he lied about the war…So? That means nothing.

Exactly Nathan, this is what I’ve been saying for some time. Of course it means nothing. If Trump shot someone dead on 5th Ave, it would mean nothing.

And Trump did more than criticize GWB, he advocated his impeachment. But I know, that means nothing.

And if your party would have won in 2016, it would have filled the courts with liberal judges.

That’s historically untrue. For starters, Dem have had no spine and couldn’t legislate their way out of a wet paper bag for years. They’ve been under the naive perspective they could work with Rs.

Merrick Garland was considered by far the moderate equivalence to Antonin Scalia. He was believed to have been seated bipartisanly had Moscow Mitch allowed it. But that’s the key, Obama’s judges seldom made it to the floor and what were allowed through haggling or Ds conceding voting for something they didn’t like, most cleared the senate by both parties, some 100-0.

Just last week, Lawrence VanDyke a lifetime federal judge, despite the American Bar Association rating him “not qualified” because, according to his own colleagues, he is “arrogant, lazy, an ideologue, and lacking in knowledge of the day-today practice including procedural rules.” He was opposed by more than 200 national civil and human rights groups. The final vote? 51-44.

Trump has seated 172 judicial nominees: 120 district court nominees, 50 circuit court nominees, and two Supreme Court nominees. And the list contains a great deal deemed unqualified, some never even tried a case, pro-wage theft, writings of white supremacy, corporate lobbyist, pro-rape and the list goes on. And most were seated without the support of a single Democrat.

So again, you rebuttal of “they’d do it too” makes no sense in the real world.

The Dems are by the part the more partisan of the two parties.

Hard to know where to start with that gibberish but it sounds like you’re reading from a page of the Trump/Moscow Mitch playbook- that Dems are the obstructionist while the Rs have taken obstruction to entirely new levels or that Ds are the “do-nothing” congress while over 450 bills sit idle on McConnell’s desk. Propaganda 101 Rule # 2: blame your opponent of which you are guilty of.

This nonsense you spew is simply without merit. Much like Trump, you barf whatever hatred comes to mind regardless of truth. And you are a prefect example of what Trump has molded his party and Brownshirts into.

@Ronald J. Ward:

Exactly Nathan, this is what I’ve been saying for some time. Of course it means nothing. If Trump shot someone dead on 5th Ave, it would mean nothing.

Those events are not equivalent, and you are not here to have a rational or serious discussion. You’ll take anything Trump does out of context, and you don’t even see it’s YOU that has the irrational reaction to anything he does. You equate anything he does as an infraction equivalent to “killing a baby” and then project that on other people. Sad.

But yes, barf your hatred and then tell me I’m barfing hatred. Doesn’t seem to jibe.

They’ve been under the naive perspective they could work with Rs.

If you believe that you, you are either truly naive yourself, or just plain lying. The scorched-earth policy of Dems over the past few decades is why we are so fractured in our present time. The Dems thought they conquered the country in 2008, and had purged out military and intelligence agencies of anyone not loyal to the Dems.

Propaganda 101 Rule # 2: blame your opponent of which you are guilty of.

Yes, that is the center of all of your angry ramblings here, blaming Reps for doing what the Dems have done for years, but your bias has blinded you to see it.

Keep up, junior. You have a bit to learn.

@Nathan Blue:

You can hold your breath, stomp your feet, and spout your insults all you like but your arguments still come up short.

“The Dems are by the part the more partisan of the two parties” is simply not true, not consistent with what McConnell has made of the senate which is the most obstructive, divisive, and partisan legislative body in history and it’s not consistent with the legislative and judicial seating process we are seeing.

And if your party would have won in 2016, it would have filled the courts with liberal judges. is not consistent with the Ds judicial seating history. There is no evidence to support your claim and it’s an entire contradiction of what Rs have and are doing.

Those are just facts. Just like it’s a fact that Russia interfered in our elections, just like it’s a fact that Mitch and Trump are doing nothing about it. It’s It’s a fact that Trump deliberately obstructed the House investigation powers by ordering people to ignore subpoenas. It’s a fact that climate change is not a hoax. It’s a fact that Trump is a racist or has at least fanned racism for political gain. It’s a fact that McConnell, Lindsay, and the entire GOP has changed completely on impeachment legalities and processes than they did under Clinton. It’s a fact that Trump and Mitch are seating judges that are highly unqualified and inexperience, have pro-rape, racist, sexist, and anti-worker history- and they are seating them at a rapid pace. And like it or not, in the real world truth, the evidence against Trump in Article 1 are pretty damning and the reality of Article 2 is conclusive. And it’s also a fact that Rs don’t want any more reveled, that they are obviously hiding something.

You can tap dance around those things, you can call me names, you can call me angry, you can cry “go away little dog”, you can yell or type in caps BANANA, BANANA, BANANA, but that doesn’t change those facts. This is who the Party of Trump is and what they are actually doing to America.

@Ronald J. Ward: Hahaha…wow.

You’ve historically came here with nothing but insults and projection. “Coming up short” is your party, and that’s why you’re angry.

You’re merely spouting one side of a now polarized set of interpretations. Yours are about as accurate as anyone else’s, little dog. There is no “party of Trump”, which is why your hysterics are quite entertaining. I voted for Trump. I’d vote for your party, too. That makes your “us vs them” ignorance moot.

Beta male that you are, I do see a growing bit of courage…which I’m glad to see.

Remember, you’re just offering your opinion. What do you really know…about anything…that isn’t just a set of things you read from infotainment? That goes for most people. We’re all making our best guesses based on our analysis. I pledge allegiance to the country, we the people. Not Trump. Not Obama. You know this, and that’s why you’re hell-bent on making this a cult issue…after 8 years of the Obama cult that ultimately failed.

Does accusing others of being angry while you sputter and throw a tantrum work in real life?

You have an identity issue, and I’m more than happy to teach you how to be an adult male with some measure of maturity. I’m glad you stuck around, little dog.

I’ll think I’ll call you “potential man”, since you just might be able to shake your indoctrination and become more than the petulant whelp that you currently are.

Good boy.

@Nathan Blue:

There you go again, avoiding reality with childish insults.

If I only have opinions as you say, that actual names, events, results, legislation, judge seating and their records, obstruction level of each party, etc are not factual, how is it that anything you say is an exception?

You are again running from reality while only demonstrating a hatred of democrats or non-Trump supporters.

Your man is a con man, a liar, a cheat, was never a successful business man but rather played the role of one on a reality TV show. Opinion? I’d say most any credible fact checker would rate it “Mostly True” (which is of course my opinion).

You’re angry because I’m identifying a reality that goes against the man and party you believe in. You just can’t handle the truth so you lash out, being guilty of what you accuse me to be.

@Ronald J. Ward: You are comic relief boy !

I lifted and saved the below list of the Party of Trump conspiracy theories. Not sure of the author.

1. The belief that 10,000 climate scientists all around the world are either stupid, or engaged in a massive criminal conspiracy to concoct bad science in order to receive…more government grant funding. And that no other scientists are exposing it.

2. The belief that there is a giant conspiracy across all of news media to make Republicans look bad and elect Democrats–in spite of continually unfair press coverage of candidates like both Bernie Sanders *and* Hillary Clinton–in exchange for…what? It’s never really clear.

3. The belief without evidence that there is a giant conspiracy across local, state and federal elections officials all across the country to engage in mass wide-scale voter impersonation fraud. Needless to say, this would be insanely complicated, incredibly risky and hugely inefficient.

4. The belief that that there is a giant conspiracy to push migrants to the border in order to change the demographics of the U.S., in order to…increase taxes and gain “control”? This is a pretty nonsensical conspiracy, but it’s among the most common. It’s no surprise that this sort of rhetoric echoes fascist antisemitic tropes, which is why George Soros is so commonly included.

5. The belief that there was a deep conspiracy to elect a man named “Barack Hussein Obama” to the presidency in order to implement socialism in America…and that the shadowy socialist cabal picked a guy named “Barack Hussein Obama” for the job. Or made up his birth certificate from scratch and decided on one of the most unlikely presidential names imaginable in his birth year.

6. The belief that the “Deep State” entrapped Trump with Russia entanglements before the 2016 in order to derail his presidency if he won, but didn’t use it to stop him from winning, but were blindsided when he won, but have stymied his every move afterward.

7. The belief that there is a giant unexposed conspiracy of 100,000s of teachers/faculty across PreK and higher education to indoctrinate young people. Rather than students and young adults not buying into bigotry and doctrine once they learn something.

8. The belief that a tiny group of obscenely rich industrialists are the only truthtellers, the only ones looking out for the “forgotten man”, while millions of middle class professionals and civil servants are corrupt liars. This one is particularly ironic, as it represents a twisted funhouse version of Marxist theory.

9. The belief that millions of people want to disarm them to leave them defenseless against looters, burglars and Liberal Fascism ™, rather than just want their kids not to get shot at school again and again by trigger-happy Rambo cosplayers.

10. The belief that Green Energy is a scam to give connected companies money and make coal miners homeless, rather than an effort to save millions of lives from climate change, pollution and black lung.

11. The belief that social services are an intentionally corrupt scam to keep minority groups on the “Democrat Plantation” ™, rather than a good-faith effort to make up for the predations of a brutal market in a society riddled with horrific structural racism.

The party of Trump is a party of lying frauds.
