Florida:

man is accused of killing his Trump-supporting boss at a construction site in Florida after an argument about politics. He then allegedly placed a brand new American flag next to his body.

Mason Trever Toney, 28, was arrested on Monday and charged with first-degree murder, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

A worker at the Florida Turnpike construction site in Orlando called 911 at around 10.30 a.m. on Monday to report their boss William Steven Knight, 28, had been stabbed and killed by Toney, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by Newsweek.

Deputies arrived at the scene to find Knight lying dead next to an excavator with an American flag next to his body, the arrest affidavit said.

Workers told detectives that Toney and Knight were friends outside of work although they had different political beliefs. According to the affidavit, they said Knight was a “proud and outspoken American” who was “pro-Donald Trump” and described Toney as anti-government and “very outspoken about his beliefs that the government is bad and out to get him.”

The affidavit said that on the day of Knight’s killing, he had picked up Toney for work as usual and while they were driving from one job site to another, an argument broke out.
