Venezuela is building up troops on the border with Colombia and expelling the diplomats after Nicolas Maduro cut off relations with Colombia.
There was a standoff on the border as Colombians tried to move humanitarian aid into the country to save the starving people, but then the Venezuelan forces blew up the trucks. All four trucks have been destroyed with some aid saved. The forces preventing the trucks from entering were crying.
Four people have died from bullet wounds and 24 people were injured as trucks carrying humanitarian aid attempted to cross into Venezuela.
Maduro is killing his own people. This is how socialism always ends.

Late last night I started hearing that Maduro’s men had stopped firing on the rest of the aid trucks and were allowing the people to get the aid thru.
I think it’s dawning on these soldiers that Maduro will only save his own ass while they will have to go home sometime and face justice for how they acted in these recent days.
Better to have shown your change of heart before the trial.

It would be difficult to find a more persuasive argument for deposing a dictator than Maduro provides. Bernie Sanders demurs on condemning the slaughter and the inhumanity that Maduro has visited upon his charge at his own political peril. (For those with reading comprehension disabilities: I condemn Sander’s position on this issue.)
Sanders has confused Maduro with socialism. One is not the other. Theoretically, socialism could work. So could Utopia. But the human condition – human nature – has prevented it from working in every case attempted thus far, and there is no indication that history won’t simply repeat itself in this regard ad nauseum. On the other hand, Maduro is insane. Evil. It’s time for a remedy to be applied.
We know why he is being backed by Putin it isnt the political ideology. Even the commies backed off completely taking over the agriculture in early stages.

But glad you understand the difference between theory and execution. Sometimes the conditions for success can’t be met. Just think Adam & Eve.
That Sanders seems to be making a mistake on this is, I think, disqualifying. Doesn’t mean that he won’t get the Dem. nomination – there are more than enough extreme libs to make that happen if others stumble and he stops. But electing extremes of either party just keeps the pendulum swinging wildly, and nobody benefits from that.
