The left will never forgive Bush, and by extension anyone who voted for him, for the “stolen” election of 2000. Al Gore was supposed to be our president, and extend the “good times” of the Clinton era.
The short memory of the left is only applicable to actual, real history. But they hold a grudge for a long, long time.
Even when it’s recent they distort what they cannot accept.
Loughner? The Sikh temple shooter? They couldn’t accept they weren’t right wingers so they fashioned a new reality that either made them a right winger, or were motivated due to the right.
