The scenes out of Afghanistan are infuriating and tragically predictable.
It shouldn’t really come as a surprise that President Biden and the geniuses surrounding him have made such an almighty hash of the withdrawal from that godforsaken country.
Look at everything else he has messed up.
His first act in office was to dismantle hard-won Trump-era border protection measures. The inevitable illegal migrant surge at the southern border has turned into an unchecked invasion, with national security and public health risks that will ricochet through history.
At this stage, we can confidently say that Joe Biden has the reverse Midas touch.
In Afghanistan, it didn’t have to be like this.
The humiliating scenes of Americans evacuating from Kabul’s airport were avoidable, as is the specter of American helicopters, planes, Humvees, weapons and ammunition in the hands of our enemies.
But Biden was caught unawares.
Then he had the gall on Saturday to blame President Donald Trump: “When I came to office, I inherited a deal cut by my predecessor.”
Since Secretary of State Antony Blinken doubled down over the weekend on this dishonest spin, it’s time for some home truths.
I asked Trump Sunday about the plan his administration had to get out of Afghanistan —which ultimately was obstructed by the same US generals who gave Biden a green light.
“We were going to not let people get slaughtered,” Trump said flatly. “I wanted to get out. But you have to get out safely and you have to get out with respect …
“We had all sorts of conditions … All civilians were going to come out before the military. Everyone should have been out before they took our military out …
“I was going to close this ridiculous embassy they spent a billion dollars on and move everybody out …
“I was going to blow up every military base [before we left]. I was going to take out every single piece of equipment. I said, ‘I don’t want anything left [apart from] leave each soldier a gun …’
“Plus, I had a relationship with the Taliban where they knew they weren’t allowed to do this. They understood they were going to get hit very hard … What I had was conversations with the [Taliban] leadership where I said, ‘If you do anything,’ we were going to hit them like they haven’t been hit before.”
Trump said the Taliban “no longer has fear or respect for America …
“It’s a terrible, terrible black eye for this country.
“We’re a laughingstock. The whole world can’t believe it.
“And there was no reason for it.”
Trump’s Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who began negotiating with the Taliban in February 2020 to lay down conditions for a US withdrawal, has corroborated Trump’s version of events.
“At this stage, we can confidently say that Joe Biden has the reverse Midas touch.”
It’s called “stomach hands”. Everything he touches turns to shit.
“When I came to office, I inherited a deal cut by my predecessor.”
He came into office inheriting deals with our southern neighbors that were working beautifully to control illegal immigration. He inherited the Keystone pipeline infrastructure project that provided thousands of jobs. He didn’t mind abrogating those.
If we do nothing else, we should pass laws to make sure we never have a regime as incompetent as this one. Maybe blocking fraud might be enough.
That inherit line is pure BS. Trump inherited the Obama Iran deal. He canceled it. Trump inherited the Paris climate accord. He canceled it. Biden entered office and signed 50+ EO’s in record time. He’s not a victim. I don’t think gaslighting is going to work this time. This one’s all Joey. He is displaying the arrogance of ignorance.
I’m only surprised the democrat media complex hasn’t claimed this is either a mostly peaceful protest or an insurrection caused by Trump.
It looks like Jen Psaki Sheet will be out of the office during this. Trying to handle is clearly above her pay grade.

Did the idiot Biden not know the deal in place when he mobilized all the fraud it took to put him in office? This is what comes of a dishonest media hiding all failures and incompetence. What did idiot Biden think the media would do? Well, just what they always do: suppress all the failure and incompetence and excuse whatever leaks out. He has no motivation to excel because the bar is set so low for any Democrat. Pelosi, for instance, is commending the idiot Biden for his great job.
Just tell the sheep failure is success and they will happily accept it. That’s the process.

During the Trump administration the Taliban feared going after Americans unless they could slip away back into the shadows.
Once they saw Joe’s abilities they came out of those shadows and tested his mettle.
They found him wanting.
So, they began consolidating power and recently they showed they have zero fear of Joe.
Who knows what they’ll do to American interests next.
But, whatever it is, we know Joe’s response will be weak.
The founding fathers of this country would be ashamed of the behavior of this pedophile, acting president, the house and the demorat senate. Hamilton, Madison and Jay authored the The Federalist Papers as a means to define the status of the new republic. In Hamilton’s papers #70-##72, he defines the office of the president and the functions of the office is further noted in papers #73 and #74. Surprise! The pedophile is unfit for office. Likewise in the Papers #52 and #53 he address the House. Well the speaker of the house has not only violated the Constitution but usurped the unpinning of the Declaration of Independence. likewise, rapist schumer, yes he is, has breached and usurped the fundamental elements of the Constitution and the Declaration of Indepenence and has breached his oath of office as bar fly nancy. the despotism which this two actors have shown are in direct opposition to the principle of civil liberties. both have decried the government of Trump as inconsistent with “their” order of society, now engaging in a malicious exultation of self indulgence at the expense of the American people.
History will noted of the catastrophic failure of the pedophile, demented, moronic, idiot, and a few sandwiches short of a picnic basket- biden.

It’s his baby, he blew up Trump’s plan, which kept American troops there to secure the withdrawal, and gave the Afghans control of $2 billion in weapons and materiel, which they promptly gave to the Taliban. That wasn’t in Trump’s plan, but nice try Democrats.
