AOC says inflation is “corporate propaganda”
A mother of four struggling to keep money in the bank accused lawmakers of being “oblivious” to how much high inflation is affecting families across the country.
Amber Bergeron of Louisiana pointed her ire at Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) in particular on Friday for sharing a clip declaring that inflation is just “propaganda” — seemingly refuting a recent study revealing that 61% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck.
“I’m just wondering how she thinks it’s propaganda. I mean, has she checked her electric bill? Has she looked at the cost of groceries compared to last year?” Bergeron said on “Fox & Friends First.“
“If you get on her Walmart app, she can take a look and see the difference. I’m wondering what her budget is that that’s not something that she’s concerned about. It’s obviously not worrying in her household. it’s not something she’s having to worry about. I’m wondering how people can be so oblivious.”
The Bronx congresswoman shared a video to her Instagram story Thursday from New Zealand’s left-wing Aotearoa Liberation League in which a woman claimed the “propaganda” surrounding inflation was designed to protect “greedy shareholders,” who are truly to blame for global rising costs.
