I Lived In Soviet Russia When Bernie Sanders Visited, And He’s A Communist Dupe

Loading

Katya Sedgwick:

Democratic presidential front-runner Bernie Sanders likes to market himself as a wise old man who just happens to have clown hair but is right about everything, such as the War in Iraq. Yet his opposition to the Iraq War was dictated not by cool-headed geopolitical calculations, but the lifelong habit of romancing American enemies — as is typical for communism-lovers.

The recently surfaced press conference Sanders gave following his return from his honeymoon in Yaroslavl, USSR, is a great example of leftist naïveté about totalitarian regimes. For Bernie to fawn over Soviet culture the way he did indicates a staggering degree of incuriosity. I was only 15 and growing up in Kharkiv, now Ukraine, when the couple visited the USSR, and I’m not impressed when I watch Sanders sing Moscow’s praises.

Start with the metro. Sanders said at the time, “The stations themselves were very beautiful, including many works of art, chandeliers that were beautiful. It was a very, very effective system.”

It’s slightly creepy that Joseph Stalin initiated the tradition of building chthonian palaces underneath Soviet cities. The stations are beautiful, no doubt, but effectiveness is a whole different matter. Coverage was so-so, and the rush hour commute was a nightmare, so Sanders’ classification of the stations as “effective” is puzzling. People stuffed into trains like sardines.

You would think the “Trump exists, Russia exists, Trump won, so Russia helped Trump and he is their dupe” people would be able to generate a little suspicion of a US socialist that has vacationed in the Soviet Union, expressed admiration for the government and way of life, propagates political violence AND is receiving favorable support from a Russian that wants to reinstitute the Soviet Union.

Therefore, it is confirmed that all their Russian angst is nothing but political noise.

No one would support Bernie unless they desire to see this nation ruined. Period.

Yup he was given a tour by the KGB, like going to a fabulously decorated restaurant. but ever seeing the rodent infested kitchen. Never asking why they never get a good food review just…oooh look table cloths.

@kitt: He was easily impressed because he was shown and told exactly what he wanted to believe. In that respect, he is no different from the rest of the Democrats.

Isn’t it time for some Bernie investigations to begin, now that the Biden investigations have served their purpose?

Nobody ever did clearly state specifically what illegal act Hunter Biden was supposedly guilty of.

There’s no Russian communist state left to dupe Bernie or anybody else. Putin, on the other hand, is a master puppeteer, and an authoritarian leader with serious geopolitical ambitions. Given his estimated personal worth of over $200 billion and the serious economic difficulties of much of the Russian population, it’s understandable why he’d consider any U.S. presidential contender who openly talks of greater economic equity to be a serious danger. In Bernie Sanders, Putin and Trump have a common enemy.

@Greg: Hunter and Archer were involved in money laundering and under investigation for that when Biden made his threats.
The evidence now in DOJ hands where they are trying to verify it.
Bernie is an old commie with clueless followers.
You are correct the Soviet Union is no more so the Dems ignorant fear mongering gets real old.
Yes crooked politicians make big big money, Biden from a million in debt in 2015 to a multimillionaire and 3 homes now. Obama from 4 to 60 plus million and mansion residences.
Have no fear as long as we dont let the elections become a centrally governed from DC process.
Go Bernie! Soon he will be made to tell where all the money will come from to fund his unicorn brainfart promises. Like Denmark? over 50 % income and 25% Vat taxes?

@Greg: The Biden investigations haven’t even begun yet and, indeed, by Democrat standards, Bernie should be under full investigation, including surveillance and wire tapping. After all, ANTIFA acts on his behalf and his ex-“justice” advisor has been arrested for plotting a violent prison riot and break.

Putin and Bernie see things completely eye to eye. They employ political violence, they adhere to socialism and they long for a return of the Soviet Union. Voting for Bernie is like voting for Putin himself. Nothing would make Putin happier.

Again, the way you easily right off Bernie’s connection to the Soviet Union, communism and Putin’s support for him shows quite clearly that you never honestly suspected Trump of anything to do with Russia but merely exploited it for whatever political benefit could be gleaned from such stupidity. If you actually thought so and if you objected to it, you would be screaming for Bernie to be driven out of the race. Also noteworthy is that no other Democrats are doing this, either. Oh, they may not like his platform, but they aren’t concerned about his affection for Russia and communism. Nothing could have exposed the absolute bullshit any better.

Bernie Sanders, The Bum Who Wants Your Money

@retire05: No wonder he can so effectively appeal to lazy leeches and bums; he IS one.

@Greg:

Isn’t it time for some Bernie investigations to begin, now that the Biden investigations have served their purpose?

Biden was never a front-runner, or even a viable candidate. Everyone knows this.

Nobody ever did clearly state specifically what illegal act Hunter Biden was supposedly guilty of.

Do you really want to look this stupid? I’ll give you a chance to walk that statement back…maybe do about 2 seconds of googling to debunk yourself.

1…
…2…

Got it now?

Joe McCarthy warned us about the Commies and their plans for America its time to heed his warning and vote against Sanders never mind what he is saying to you he is lying just like all rotten commies do just remember the Red Menace its still a real threat as it was after WW II and the Cold War. Those with Bernie signs better think twice before they vote just remember its those who did,nt think too well is why we ended up with Clinton(Bill) and Obama

@Greg:

Nobody ever did clearly state specifically what illegal act Hunter Biden was supposedly guilty of.

And you just described the “impeachment”, subbing out Trump’s name for Hunter.

Hypocrite.

@Nathan Blue: @Nathan Blue: Aside from the fact that many of us have provided links to the descriptions of the money laundering operation he was involved in, his crimes were not the issue; the issue was a Vice President of the United States using his office to provide economic opportunities to his family and the power of the office to extort an ally to fire a prosecutor investigating corruption that would ultimately lead to him and his son, not to mention numerous other high-ranking Democrats.

@Nathan Blue, #11:

And you just described the “impeachment”, subbing out Trump’s name for Hunter.

The statutory crimes at the center of Trump’s Ukraine scam are known to everyone who paid attention to genuine news coverage, though they weren’t cited as such in the Articles of Impeachment because a sitting president can’t be charged with statutory crimes.

For those who were inattentive, those crimes are as follows: bribery (18 U.S.C. § 201); soliciting foreign campaign contributions (52 U.S.C. §§ 30109; 30121); coercion of political activity (18 U.S.C. § 610); misappropriation of federal funds (18 U.S.C. § 641); and obstruction of Congress (18 U.S.C. §§ 1505, 1512).

No specific act on the part of Hunter Biden has ever been cited that would constitute any sort of statutory crime. Basically, it was all a smear campaign intended to damage Trump’s most likely 2020 election opponent.

@Deplorable Me, #12:

Are you trying to be a comedian, or are you somehow totally oblivious to how Trump’s office is being exploited to advance family business interests, and the obvious steps that have been taken to keep all details of that hidden?

The Trump administration has put nepotism on steroids. He passes out jobs to family, friends, and family of friends like candy. He rewards favor with favors, and calls in debts like a mafia don. Challenge his game, and he’ll seek to destroy you.

@Greg:

The statutory crimes at the center of Trump’s Ukraine scam are known to everyone who paid attention to genuine news coverage, though they weren’t cited as such in the Articles of Impeachment because a sitting president can’t be charged with statutory crimes.

There were no crimes. There was no evidence of any crime, just opinion, hearsay, presumption and lies.

No specific act on the part of Hunter Biden has ever been cited that would constitute any sort of statutory crime. Basically, it was all a smear campaign intended to damage Trump’s most likely 2020 election opponent.

On the other post where you stated the same lie, I posted numerous articles describing the money laundering scheme that Hunter was a part of. But, Hunter was not the focus; Biden extorting Ukraine to fire the prosecutor that was investigating the corruption he and Hunter were getting rich off of is what Trump was asking about. It still needs to be thoroughly investigated and prosecuted.

Are you trying to be a comedian, or are you somehow totally oblivious to how Trump’s office is being exploited to advance family business interests, and the obvious steps that have been taken to keep all details of that hidden?

Feel free to provide the links to the evidence of Trump using his office to advance the family business.

Yes, Trump has given jobs to family members. But they don’t get paid. It is far different from Biden flying his family all over the world and introducing them to foreign business leaders, hooking them up with lucrative economic opportunities they have no skills in. The Obama administration was steeped in corruption.

There were no crimes. There was no evidence of any crime, just opinion, hearsay, presumption and lies.

If he were taken to criminal court, all the blocked witnesses were required to testify, and all of the locked down documents were presented as evidence, he’d likely be convicted. Most criminals are not declared immune from prosecution and allowed to obstruct their investigations. Most criminals aren’t in a position to control how their trials are conducted.

The Obama administration was steeped in corruption.

With the Obama administration, there was virtually none. The Trump administration, on the other hand, is pretty much a scandal factory. Trump’s activities have always been like that. Payoffs through his bag men have always been part of the standard operating procedure. How many people connected with his campaign are now convicted felons? How much dirty Russian money has been laundered through Deutsche Bank to flow into Trump’s various projects when no one else would extend him loans?

@Greg: Wrong and wrong.

@Greg:

How many people connected with his campaign are now convicted felons?

How many Americans, not in war, died because of the actions of Obama and his “wingman?”

@retire05: Greg is so proud of the fake crimes the innocent men were convicted on, while his banana republic dirty cops avoided democrats with worse offenses.
Geeze Greggie how many were convicted on election tampering?
Damn if he spun off the planet no one would miss him.

@retire05, #18:

How many Americans, not in war, died because of the actions of Obama and his “wingman?”

Why don’t you tell us, instead of making vague insinuations? You seem to think you know something. Stun us with some facts.

How do you feel about the Trump administration’s elimination of the National Security Council Global Health Security Office, now that we’re on the brink of a coronavirus pandemic? It was a dumb move, and was recognized as such nearly 2 years ago. Now we’ve got a rapidly evolving emergency and we’re lacking central coordination. Expert opinion is being ignored. For instance, we’ve already had the State Department overriding recommendations from the CDC. The consequences of that lack of coordination could become deadly serious.

May 10, 2018 – Top White House official in charge of pandemic response exits abruptly

The top White House official responsible for leading the U.S. response in the event of a deadly pandemic has left the administration, and the global health security team he oversaw has been disbanded under a reorganization by national security adviser John Bolton.

The abrupt departure of Rear Adm. Timothy Ziemer from the National Security Council means no senior administration official is now focused solely on global health security. Ziemer’s departure, along with the breakup of his team, comes at a time when many experts say the country is already underprepared for the increasing risks of a pandemic or bioterrorism attack.

Ziemer’s last day was Tuesday, the same day a new Ebola outbreak was declared in Congo. He is not being replaced.

Pandemic preparedness and global health security are issues that require government-wide responses, experts say, as well as the leadership of a high-ranking official within the White House who is assigned only this role.

“Health security is very fragmented, with many different agencies,” said J. Stephen Morrison, senior vice president at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. “It means coordination and direction from the White House is terribly important. ”

The personnel changes, which Morrison and others characterize as a downgrading of global health security, are part of Bolton’s previously announced plans to streamline the NSC. Two members of Ziemer’s team have been merged into a unit in charge of weapons of mass destruction, and another official’s position is now part of a unit responsible for international organizations. White House homeland security adviser Tom Bossert, who had called for a comprehensive biodefense strategy against pandemics and biological attacks, is out completely. He left the day after Bolton took over last month…

Can you imagine how high the union dues must be to cover all the “cultural” stuff, like the Soviets used to do?
Can you imagine $15/hour BUT over 1/2 of it goes to support theaters, operas, bands, orchestras, puppet shows (for the children) and all other entertainment?
Our workers would rebel!

Loved her description of Bernie’s minder-led honeymoon as a Potemkin tour of the USSR where none of the Americans got to meet real Soviets, only official minders.
And Bernie fell for it!
Shows what a stupido he is.
I hope President Trump takes in some of the insights of a few ex-Soviet subjects.

@Greg:

How many Americans, not in war, died because of the actions of Obama and his “wingman?”
Why don’t you tell us, instead of making vague insinuations?

Here, I’ll give you a hint; here’s a start: Brian Terry

As to your WaPo article (their name really should be the Chicken Little Daily); I am for any reduction in the size of government with redundant departments running all over each other. The CDC and the WHO are tasked with those jobs, and I see no purpose in having multiple departments, all headed by those “me first” types conflicting with other departments.

Of course, the fear mongering from the Chicken Little Daily speaks of the ebola “pandemic” that did not happen. If it bleeds it leads, right? The left wing practice of “what if” reporting does no one any good and simply creates unnecessary fear in the general population. Just the facts, m’am, just the facts.

I challenge you to go through the alphabet agencies in federal government that have been created for useless issues that could be eliminated. You can start with the Department of Education. Education of students should be a state, county and local issue, not the Federal government as education is not a constitutional mandate.

https://www.federalpay.org/departments/departmentofeducation

Please note the sub departments that require funding from taxpayers that support the legal theft of wealth from Americans.

You blather endlessly on the national debt. I challenge you to name just ten alphabet departments of the Federal government that could be eliminated. Just ten.

Here, I’ll give you a hint; here’s a start: Brian Terry

I won’t argue with you. It’s a waste of time to argue with crazy, especially when it’s most likely been years in the making. You’ve already wasted more of my time than I ever should have allowed.

Of course, the fear mongering from the Chicken Little Daily speaks of the ebola “pandemic” that did not happen. If it bleeds it leads, right?

Good luck with your dismissal of coronavirus concerns as Chicken Little warnings. If it isn’t this one, it’ll be a next one, just like it could have been ebola or bird flu. Which is the reason prior administrations considered global epidemiology and a central authority to efficiently coordinate responses to such threats to be a matter of national security. See if Trump’s border wall keeps a virus out.

February 24, 2020 – CDC: 53 cases of coronavirus now confirmed in U.S. – New numbers include 36 evacuees from Diamond Princess

The State Department probably should have listened to the CDC.

February 25, 2020 – Coronavirus outbreak in US | Not ‘if’ but ‘when,’ CDC says

@Greg:

I won’t argue with you.

Of course not. There is no denying that the Obama administration was responsible for Brian Terry’s murder.

It’s a waste of time to argue with crazy, especially when it’s most likely been years in the making.

You should know, Comrade Greggie. It is true that your brand of radicalization takes years to achieve.

You’ve already wasted more of my time than I ever should have allowed.

What happened to that promise of yours that you were never going to respond to me again? Or is the temptation to continuously blather your brand of radicalization just too great?

Oh, that’s right…………………..you don’t answer questions, you only parrot what you have been told by your handlers.

Well, the far left needs one man clown shows like you, I guess.

You’re an idiot, Comrade Greggie.

Thanks for the reminder. In the future, I’ll let you demonstrate what a stupid cow you are on your own, without bothering to point it out.

@Greg:

That’s the best you’ve got, Comrade Greggie?

And you wonder why I call you an idiot. It’s simple; you exhibit your idiocy with every post you make.

But then, all you one man clown shows are comical.

@retire05: He thinks we are not taking the kung flu seriously?
I hate to see 2. billion poured into trying to create a shot , it wont happen. Those cured have no immunity from getting it again, just like a cold virus. All Trump has the authority to do is contain the virus in the USA not world wide.
Ramp up Z-pac production, quarantines, developing an accurate test, no CT lung scans as a definitive diagnosis. Building a huge center to handle quarantine and care, because this wont be the last nasty virus coming out of China, and elsewhere. Many dont want the affected Americans in their areas. Maybe use that mountain fortress built for government heads and their families in case of a nuclear war.

February 25, 2020 – Limbaugh claims coronavirus is being ‘weaponized’ to ‘bring down’ Trump

Right. Concern about the virus is a leftist-communist-democrat plot against Donald Trump…

Outbreaks are popping up around the globe, with no readily identifiable paths of transmission. This is probably going to be a significant and persistent public health problem. It could really stress and test our ability to respond effectively.

@Greg: Do you listen to Limbaugh? Taking a 10 second cut from a 3 hour show then spinning it. GTFO you dont listen to the show, you and whom ever sits and listens to the show looking for those 10 second cuts.
Ths is much more dangerous to the American public ICE Arrests Criminal Alien Released 7 Times Under NYC

@Greg: You can’t argue against facts. Thousands of US citizens have been killed by illegal immigrants thanks to Obama’s criminal immigration policies.

February 25, 2020 – Limbaugh claims coronavirus is being ‘weaponized’ to ‘bring down’ Trump

Your posts prove his point.

@Deplorable Me, #30:

Thousands of US citizens have been killed by illegal immigrants thanks to Obama’s criminal immigration policies.

That is complete and utter nonsense. The numbers cited in the viral emails and social media posts making such absurd claims are total fabrications, not even remotely resembling actual statistics. In fact, illegal immigrants are statistically less likely to commit crimes than native born Americans. There are no legitimate statistics or studies suggesting otherwise.

@Greg: Ya sure soon Cuba and Venezuela will be over run with democrat refugees!
4 more years!

@Greg: You are full of leftist propaganda shit. FACTS prove that illegal immigrants commit crimes far beyond the rate of citizens. Yet any innocent citizen that dies by the actions of an illegal immigrant is an avoidable death. But Democrats cause the deaths of our citizens by the thousands. All for the sake of their cheap labor and voter fraud.

@Greg:

That is complete and utter nonsense

This is from just ONE state, Comrade Greggie.

“According to DHS status indicators, over 312,000 criminal aliens have been booked into local Texas jails between June 1, 2011 and January 31, 2020, of which over 212,000 were classified as illegal aliens by DHS.
Between June 1, 2011 and January 31, 2020, these 212,000 illegal aliens were charged with more than 337,000 criminal offenses which included arrests for 614 homicide charges; 37,577 assault charges; 6,367 burglary charges; 41,963 drug charges; 504 kidnapping charges; 17,624 theft charges; 26,586 obstructing police charges; 1,848 robbery charges; 4,018 sexual assault charges; 5,295 sexual offense charges; and 3,402 weapon charges. DPS criminal history records reflect those criminal charges have thus far resulted in over 134,000 convictions including 282 homicide convictions; 15,408 assault convictions; 3,463 burglary convictions; 19,742 drug convictions; 199 kidnapping convictions; 7,668 theft convictions; 12,339 obstructing police convictions; 1,116 robbery convictions; 1,977 sexual assault convictions; 2,595 sexual offense convictions; and 1,432 weapon convictions. ”

Unfortunately, Texas is just one of the very few states, if any other, that tracks crime committed by illegals.

One death at the hands of illegals is one too many. But then, I’m sure you don’t care if children/women are raped/sexually abused/kidnapped, people are murdered by illegals. It ain’t you, right, Comrade Greggie?

@retire05: It’s not like I haven’t provided that exact same data to Greg before; he just decides not to see it and lies about it not existing.

How difficult would it be for other states and the federal government to maintain records of illegal immigrant crime? Yet, few do. Like with the census, the left does not want the truth to be known; it would infuriate the population. Unlike Greg, they wouldn’t be able to simply close their eyes and deny it exists.

They are all Communist dupes. For instance, Bernie hasn’t been the only prominent dem to praise Castro. I’d lay odds the rest of them have too. They’ve probably also made the claim lots on the left have made that if only Lenin had lived longer, things would have worked out in the good old USSR. Look at their party platform from the GND to the stacking of SCOTUS to abolishing the EC to gun confiscation to open borders and it’s all designed to give them 100% permanent control of the government and everyone’s lives. Bernie bros have promoted re-education camps, gulags, and death for those who don’t comply and none of the dem candidates denounced it. Add all this up and it’s just like Communism.

@Deplorable Me, #33:

FACTS prove that illegal immigrants commit crimes far beyond the rate of citizens.

No, they DO NOT commit crimes far beyond the rate of citizens, and you can’t provide links to any credible statistical documentation that they do.

The claim is nothing but an assumption that people like because it supports what they want to believe. It has been reinforced by endless repetition, generally accompanied one or more anecdotal stories selected for their ability to evoke outrage. It’s an example of the logical fallacy known as Faulty Generalization, and is one of the common tools of political manipulation.

@Deplorable Me, #35:

It’s not like I haven’t provided that exact same data to Greg before; he just decides not to see it and lies about it not existing.

Actually, it’s exactly like that. No one on this forum has ever provided a link to credible statistics supporting the claim—only to one or more articles where the claim is repeated and faulty logic is used to misrepresent some out-of-context statistic.

@Greg: 30 percent of federal prisoners are illegal aliens. You do the math darlin. Those numbers from Homeland Security and the Justice Department. Are less than 1/3 in the US illegals? They arent there for parking tickets.

@Greg: I’m sure there is NO data that will cause you to admit the truth. Yet, facts are facts and your ideology is based on propaganda.

Whatever happened to “if just one life can be saved”? How about if thousands of lives could be saved? All Democrats care about is how many VOTES they can squeeze out of illegal immigrants. I have even more, but since this isn’t the actual topic on hand and you will gladly call noon midnight if it reinforces (in your own mind) your degenerate beliefs, I won’t waste more time on it. Suffice it to say though, once again you are enormously wrong.

What would really be nice is if you would answer the question about supporting a Soviet, Cuba, Iran, Ortega-loving communist that has the support of Putin for President; WHY do you support him when you were so critical of Trump over the false accusations of Putin support?

@Deplorable Me, #39:

You just posted 15 links to articles that demonstrate the sort of misleading arguments and faulty reasoning that I described in Post #37. Some are summarizing biased study statistics, like the report from John Lott’s Crime Prevention Research Center, which has a pro-gun, anti-immigration agenda. The “research” is conducted by Lott himself. Others promote their erroneous conclusions by way of misquoting or cherry picking statistics, and then making illogical numerical extrapolations. As usual, there’s an admixture of anecdotal tales of outrageous crimes—often true—that serves to appeal to emotion in order to override critical analysis.

Rep. Steve King has been a stellar example of this sort of b.s. He’s been known to attribute the total number of aliens arrested for homicide from August 1955 through April 2010 to the five-year period from 2004 to 2008.

@Greg: Thanks for proving a point.
Not the Babylon Bee: Sanders Says He Will Help Minorities Start Businesses to Sell Drugs, just a little gem from the Debate.

@kitt, #41:

Sanders Says He Will Help Minorities Start Businesses to Sell Drugs, just a little gem from the Debate.

Maybe it’s a matter of affirmative action. We have America’s deadly synthetic opioid epidemic courtesy of six multi-billion dollar, white-owned pharmaceutical corporations. 400,000 are dead, to date. But the profits from pushing the addictive and potentially lethal pills have been ENORMOUS. There’s a $25 Billion annual global demand.

Bernie does favor repealing federal marijuana laws. To date, there are no Americans dead as the result of a marijuana overdose. Needless to say, the pharmaceutical industry doesn’t much like the idea that people might replace a number of the highly profitable medications they produce with something that can be grown in a patio flower pot.

@Greg: It was a joke son, I am for the legalization of drugs. There are many in prison for possession, I think its retarded for an officer to put his life on the line for a joint.
White owned…are you a racist Greg?
Many people have ownership in the industry, its called stocks in 401ks.
Dont be such a dupe brother, Sanders should be helping everyone begin new businesses, he is a racist to single out people of color.
Go listen to MLKs speech where he dreams it isnt the color of skin people are judged by. Dont be a racist Greg.

@Deplorable Me, #39:

What would really be nice is if you would answer the question about supporting a Soviet, Cuba, Iran, Ortega-loving communist that has the support of Putin for President.

Bernie Sanders:

“Everybody was totally convinced that Castro was the worst guy in the world and all of the Cuban people were going to rise up in rebellion against Fidel Castro. They forgot that he educated their kids, gave their kids health care, totally transformed the society.”

That’s an entirely accurate observation. Castro did, in fact, do those things. He was not evil incarnate. He was a much nicer guy that some we now call friends and actively support. (Saudi Arabia, anyone?)

We should have normalized relations with Cuba years ago. There was no good reason not to. Does anyone believe the likelihood that we would become like Cuba was greater than the likelihood that Cuba would become more like us? The isolation we’ve imposed has helped to keep Cuba from changing.

We were taking a far more positive and productive approach during the Obama years. Now we seem determined to undo the progress that was made. This is all about the political right, trying to hold onto the past. They think there’s still a global commie menace. They want there to be, because the menace of an enemy is one of their organizing principles. It’s the essential center of their world view. It’s the raison d’etre for the military-industrial complex.

@Greg:

They think there’s still a global commie menace.

Yes, yes we do. I know with your education you may not have heard of a tiny itty bitty country called China. The country thats one big stewing love canal. Poisoning the planet and its own people, while building a pretty awesome military with our technology.
Now congress thinks it should be the US taxpayer to stop a disease that began in China, maybe just maybe China should pay-up. Use the 2.5 billion to stop any pandemic outbreak here America First.
One billion going to those white owned drug companies just not enough.

@kitt, #43:

It was a joke son, I am for the legalization of drugs.

I figured as much. My “affirmative action” comment was too, though I’m entirely serious about what the drug industry has done. They promoted a highly profitable product and downplayed the dangers.

Trump should take the same position as Bernie on marijuana legalization. It would be hard for the left to criticize him on it and would be favorably viewed by a lot of younger voters.

@kitt, #45:

Yes, yes we do. I know with your education you may not have heard of a tiny itty bitty country called China.

I don’t think China is really communist these days. They’ve abandoned fundamental Marxist principles. The communist party structure is still there, but the system seems more like some sort of authoritarian state capitalism. Their authoritarianism is certainly a threat. It makes it too easy for a few wrong-headed people to lead everyone down a path to disaster.

I’ve got to go shovel some snow.

@Greg: The taxed profits would need to go into rehab for stronger drugs and dont drive high advertising. We gave the dopes cell phones and then they text and selfie themselves to death imagine a dispensary on every corner. The Dems love love love sin taxes.
Ha that storm missed us this time.

@Greg: “misleading” because you don’t like the facts? Again, if ONE life can be saved… why aren’t we doing it? Why are Democrats so willing to sacrifice citizen’s lives for their false hope of illegal immigrants voting for them out of fraud and ignorance?

When Trump observed that Putin has done an effective job in running, in his way, Russia, YOU climbed onboard the stupid train and declared Trump a lover of Putin. So, what is different now? Well, a couple of things.

One, Trump and Putin could not be more different. Trump is a devotee of capitalism and Putin believes in socialism, desiring to recreate the communist state of the Soviet Union. Bernie, meanwhile, thinks like Putin… and Castro and is a devotee of communism and totalitarianism. Add to that the fact that Putin is lending support to Bernie and you have a perfect storm of turning our country over to a communist leader.

We should NOT normalize relations with Cuba until they renounce their communist, totalitarian, oppressive form of government.

@Greg:

Judas Priest, Comrade Greggie. Have you ever talked to a Cuban who escaped that hell hole, ruled by the Communist dictator, Castro? And if Cuba is such a wonderland, why do we see no one trying to get in to Cuba, only those risking their lives in makeshift rickity boats fleeing Cuba?

Did you ever wonder why most Cubans in Florida are Republicans? Have you ever researched what Bernie the Bolshevik is claiming about Cuba? Do you really want the truth? I think not.

Educate yourself, Comrade Greggie:

https://fee.org/articles/no-fidel-castro-didnt-improve-health-care-or-education-in-cuba/

Of course, you’ll find something wrong with the article. If someone doesn’t agree with your agenda, they must be some radical right winger who doesn’t tell the truth. I guess you think the survey put out by (left wing) UCLA that most journalists (90%) are liberal would be wrong.

You’re the dupe. Just another one of Communism’s useful idiots.

@retire05: Nevermind Cuban hospitals are a horror show. To be sure, there is excellent health care on Cuba — just not for ordinary Cubans. You got to break some eggs to make an omlet but there are no omlets in Cuba for the communist slaves.
Go to the hospital, they must bring their own bedsheets, soap, towels, food, light bulbs — even toilet paper. And basic medications are scarce. In the real Cuba, finding an aspirin can be a chore. And an antibiotic will fetch a fortune on the black market. A nurse spoke to Isabel Vincent of Canada’s National Post. “We have nothing,” said the nurse. “I haven’t seen aspirin in a Cuban store here for more than a year. If you have any pills in your purse, I’ll take them. Even if they have passed their expiry date.”
Retirement well 10 bucks a month is what their elderly get.
There are no homeless what a crock! https://havanatimes.org/interviews/living-on-the-street-only-option-for-some-of-cubas-elderly/
Yes Bernie Cuba is grand please go live there and have your wealth redistributed seems Castro has horded all the wealth in the country for his elite.
