“I can quit my job, pick my neighbor’s pocket and never feel guilty! Thank you, ObamaCare!”

I’m just agog at the spin the Obama apparatchiks are putting on the 2.5 million job loss due to ObamaCare

Count Polly Lower among those who quit their jobs because of the health-care law. It happened in September, when her boss abruptly changed her job description. She went from doing payroll, which she liked, to working on her boss’s schedule, which she loathed. At another time, she might have had to grit her teeth and accept the new position because she needed the health benefits. But with the health-care law soon to take effect, she simply resigned — and hasn’t looked back. “It was wonderful. It was very freeing,” said Lower, 56, of Bourbon, Ind., who is now babysitting her 5-year-old granddaughter full time. With the help of federal subsidies that kicked in Jan. 1, she is paying less than $500 a month for health coverage for herself and her husband. “Federal subsidies” means Other People’s Money. Does Mrs. Lower have any twinge of conscience about having her neighbors pay for her lifestyle choice?

Magically, liberals argue it is a good thing that Americans will drop out of the labor market and a “lie” to claim that Obamacare is the impetus for impeding job growth. Yes, for an estimated $1.2 trillion over the next decade, we can subsidize your freedom. In ordinary times, if a projection found particular legislation to be the impetus for more than two million people dropping out of the labor force during serious economic stagnation, newspapers might have reported it in a negative light. […] What was once a story about Obamacare’s discouraging work and impeding job creation is now a dispute about semantics. Mission accomplished.

I failed to get the memo 45 years ago that unless I just loved my job, I could quit and have someone else (who presumably loves their job) pay for my sustenance.

Could that be made retroactive?

That cartoon in the Sunday Funnies where one man is begging with the sign, ”Will Work For Food,” while next to him is another man begging with the sign, ”Will NOT Work For ObamaCare,” was funny because of its truthfulness.
Sure some folks (as Obama likes to call cheaters, liars, malingerers) will quit their jobs so they can play violin or mime on street corners. But too many others will just not work and use the time to play games/listen to music all day.
Most of these won’t have to sit out on a corner with a sign.
They will collect enough of taxpayers money via EBT, welfare, housing, disability, O’care subsidies and maybe even grants for school.
Incentive is being murdered.
Dems are pretending to love it, but privately, they are scared out of their wits what happens if they can’t subsidize these sponges enough to stave off riots.

Hey you all can quit your jobs and chase rainbows, or paint, or just sit home and watch television. Who needs money> you can get your health care for almost free, but hmmm what happens when you have to pay your rent/mortgage or buy groceries? oh yes, EBT cards and section 8 housing.

What amazes me is that over 2 million people will lose their jobs and will get subsidies. The rest of those that are working with be heavily burdened with taxes (they have to be) in order to pay for all of these freeloaders. AND let’s not forget the illegal freeloaders that get everything for free (they are accounted for in the obamacare law).

Read alinsky’s rules. rule number one and number 5 are being completely nicely. When is someone on the hill going to get the fortitude to stop this madness?
