Partisan hack and ABC News reporter Jon Karl asked President Trump about mail-in voting at the daily coronavirus press briefing last week.
Karl and his Democrat colleagues are using the current crisis to push for mail-in voting. This is something Democrats desperately want to make into law because they know it’s easier to cheat that way.
President Trump told Karl “no” because people cheat with mail-in voting.
Jon Karl: Do you think every single state in this country should be prepared for mail-in voting?
President Trump: No, because I think a lot of people cheat with mail-in voting. I think people should vote with voter ID. I think voter ID is very important. And the reason they don’t want voter ID is because they intend to cheat. When you buy something you look at your cards and credit cards and you have your picture on many of them. Not all of them but many of them. You should have a picture for voting. It should be called voter ID. And it shouldn’t be mail-in. Excuse me. It shouldn’t be mail-in voting. You should go to a booth and you proudly display yourself. You don’t send it in the mail where all sorts of bad things can happen by the time they sign it, if they sign it. By the time it gets and its tabulated. No, it shouldn’t be mailed in. You should vote at the booth and you should have voter ID. Because you have voter ID that’s the real deal.
If the coronavirus is still killing thousands of people a day in October this country’s economy will be finished.
Democrats won’t have to worry about mail-in voting.
President Trump: “People should vote with ID, Voter ID.”

President Trump was right!
According to federal data around 16.4 million ballots went missing during the 2016 and 2018 elections.
Via Breitbart.
About 16.4 million mail-in ballots went missing in the 2016 and 2018 elections, data provided to Breitbart News reveals.
The data from the U.S. Election Assistance Commission and the Election Administration and Voting Surveys for 2016 and 2018, provided by the Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF), shows that between the 2016 and 2018 elections, roughly 16.4 million ballots mailed to registered voters went missing.
the deployed military in 2012 did not get their ballets until Wednesday a day after the election. to vote in America, need to show the identification of residency( driver lic./or state I card) and voter registration not like Nevada, ca, wa, or OR, and chi where illegal aliens and dead people vote. democraps are engaging in massive fraud. when slut hillary was the senator in ny she destroyed the state and city.
3 large bins of ballots never delivered found in Milwaukee processing center, from 2 cities. Appleton Mayoral race and a supreme court judge.
According to a clerk that could be up to 400 ballots per bin. Our reward for trying to be Safe at Home.
A Wisconsin judge ordered up to 234,000 voter registrations purged because they may have moved, in a victory for the conservative group that filed a complaint in October, which is likely to be appealed.
Ozaukee County Judge Paul Malloy said the Wisconsin Elections Commission must “abide by state law” and remove the voters. Reid Magney, a spokesman for the commission.
The Democrats argument only Democrats move and put in address changes with the post office, so the Republicans are trying to pull a fast over a full year before the 2020 election, oh Democrats also will never answer a confirmation letter sent to them. Damn those Republicans are sneaky.
Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty argued that state law requires the commission to remove from the active voting rolls voters anyone who didn’t respond to a recent mailing made as part of a regular update within 30 days. The voters were flagged as having potentially moved.
The county clerks are notified of deaths in the county and lawfully responsible to do the updates for deaths.
Nearly a quarter million in Wisconsin alone the 4 million nationwide often quoted seems a lowball number.
I don’t think the USPS is to blame for the votes that never showed up to be counted. But, in a national election by mail, imagine how easy it would be for the USPS to collect votes by zip code, areas known to be heavily Republican, and just “misplace” them?
@MOS#8541: In 2000, the vote in Florida was only close because many of the mail in votes from the military, heavily Republican, was not counted.
@kitt: Democrats also believe that only Democrats are too stupid to get a photo ID… something worthy of consideration.
April 11, 2020 – Trump reportedly said he would reject a bailout package if it included aid to keep the US Postal Service functioning
Plenty for private corporations, but not a nickel for the nation’s constitutionally mandated Postal Service?
The Dirty Democrats want to count the votes themselves
@Greg: USPS should raise its rates to cover its costs. That’s pretty simple.
@Deplorable Me: Many parts of the USPS need to be privatized they have consistently shown no matter how high the cost of postage they will find a way to waste money.
UPS gross profit for the quarter ending September 30, 2019 was $14.025B, a 8.52% increase year-over-year.
FedEx gross profit for the twelve months ending May 31, 2019 was $49.150B, a 4.63% increase
Amazon revenue for the twelve months ending June 30, 2019 was $252.063B, a 21.11% increase year-over-year. they use the USPS for deliveries I think they should pay better for delivery.
Our tax dollars going to pay for amazon deliveries, a double dip if you have paid for amazon prime.
@Deplorable Me, #6:
Postal rates are set by the Postal Regulatory Commission, which consists of five commissioners appointed by the president. The USPS itself is only able to propose postal rates.
In 2018 a 40 percent rate hike was proposed to resolve the USPS’s serious ongoing financial problems, but that proposal was immediately met with strong GOP resistance. The proposed rate hike was targeted by a coordinated conservative media campaign to assure that it would be blocked. Consequently, it was. That left the USPS mandated by law to provide services at rates that wouldn’t pay for them.
March 14, 2018 – A 40 percent postal rate increase is bad for Americans, bad for the Postal Service
The USPS has been in the GOP’s cross hairs for a long time. They’d like to privatize it, as they’d like to privatize Social Security and everything. Billions would then be funneled into corporate pockets. You know damn well the public would no longer get the high level of dependable service that the USPS has provided for generations. The promise of “more and better for less through competition” is as empty as it was with the cable television industry.
14.4 million letters are lost every year hardly dependable, they never lose my damn bills.
Sliding a bailout to save the post office into a bill meant for a pandemic is dishonest.
We must look at how private delivery services do things and use that. Cutting rural post offices , places that have little or no internet, didnt help them make ends meet.
Perhaps Trump should fire every member of the commission and get in people who can run it more business like, to make the profits of ups or fedex
UPS assesses surcharges on top of normal shipping and handling charges for residential deliveries to rural and underpopulated areas. The U.S. Postal Services charges the same rate for the same service wherever you live in the United States. UPS also charges a pickup fee. Rural mail carriers will pick up mail at your box on their route. The service charge is already included in the cost of your postage stamps.
In addition to constraining USPS rate increases, there was 2006 legislation enacted by a republican-majority Congress that required the Post Office to set aside $72 billion to cover their anticipated employee pension costs. That money comes out of the USPS’s own self-funded operating budget. “This burden applies to no other federal agency or private corporation.” The Post Office was singled out for such a requirement.
July 15, 2019 – How Congress Manufactured a Postal Crisis — And How to Fix it
Congress, of course, can “borrow” from this special postal workers’ pension fund—and has done—replacing the money with IOUs. It’s another part of the never-ending shell game that conceals their lack of fiscal discipline.
@Greg: Aw, man! How COULD they insist the USPS support the exorbitant benefits they throw around like candy? How were THEY supposed to know people would actually stay on until retirement for the lush benefits they would get?
Tell us who borrowed from the USPS pension fund? I did a quick search for “Congress borrows from USPS pension fund” and could find nothing. Could this be something else you made up to try and prove your point? And WHAT does it have to do with Democrat voter fraud, besides Democrats wanting to have the influence in the USPS to get them to cooperate by culling votes from specific zip codes?
So, what’s wrong with the USPS charging rates that covers their costs?
@Deplorable Me:
There is an investigation going on right now in WI, ballots filled out and returned to the voter in Neenah, bins found in Milwaukee, a worker called into the Regular Joe Show and said he was told not to postmark ballot envelopes in Pulaski. They will begin to count votes cast at 4 pm today.
@kitt: Yeah, there’s a reason Democrats support anything and everything that promotes voter fraud.
By the way, that’s some knucklehead governor yall have there. Banning buying SEEDS?
@Deplorable Me: The rumblings of recall are getting louder. How would the idiot stop people from ordering them on the internet, nice heirloom non genetically altered varieties.
I know Michigans Half-Whitmer has done this, that thing should also be recalled.
I should call my favorite nursery and see if I can get some speak-easy style.
@kitt: Like I’ve often said, Democrats should NEVER have power. They tend to abuse it whenever they get ahold of it.
@Deplorable Me, #11:
The federal government. Under the law Congress passed requiring the USPS to set up and maintain its own pension fund—$278 Billion as of December 2019—the only way those funds can be invested is into U.S. Treasury notes. In other words, every dollar of pension-funding money that the USPS earns from the public and government in return for the services it renders must be given to the U.S. Treasury in return for IOUs.
Nothing. But they haven’t been allowed to do that to a sufficient extent to cover their operating costs and mandatory set-asides for their pension plan. Too many private companies want to keep their mailing and shipping costs as low as possible, and they’ve got influence with Congress and USPS regulators. Essentially, private sector businesses are being subsidized via lower postal rates.
@Greg: Where’s your link to that? Who authored the bill to borrow from it?
The USPS simply needs to raise their costs to cover their expenses. Then, explain to the public WHY costs are going up. I’m sure we’ll understand.
But, back the real topic, I have no doubts Democrats will not weaponize the USPS, just as they have the IRS, EPA, DOJ, FBI and IC and utilize it to continue their voter fraud.
24 percent of all vote cast in the 2016 election were sent by mail. That percentage will undoubtedly be higher in 2020, given the COVID-19 pandemic.
Does that provide any clue that could explain why Trump’s newly appointed Post Master General would suddenly be taking actions that will seriously impede mail processing and delivery times?
Despite concerns already voiced and calls for his resignation, DeJoy is continuing to impose new organizational policies that will seriously disrupt USPS functioning for months.
August 10, 2020 – Despite Calls for His Resignation, New USPS Leader Pledges More Sweeping Changes
The Federal Election Commission, which oversees the integrity of the nation’s election process and enforces campaign finance law, presently has only 3 of 6 seats filled. A minimum of 4 are required to take any official action. This has now been the case for over a year, during which Trump has nominated nobody to fill the vacancies. This is not at all normal. Can you figure out what his motive might be?
August 10, 2020 – Trump’s attack on U.S. Postal Service is 2020 election sabotage amid COVID-19. Be alarmed.
@Greg: Go to the polls like you go to the grocery store, gas station and other public places. Or if you are a democrat stay home and watch on TV.
