The winning is having an effect.
More Americans believe that President Trump has the personality and leadership qualities to be president than two years ago, and he topped former President Barack Obama’s rating for working on issues most important to them, according to a new survey.
Gallup found that 47% agree with Trump on the issues, edging Obama at the two year mark of his presidency. In April 2007, 45% agreed with Obama on issues, said Gallup.
And Trump was graded more in line with the political ideology of Americans than Obama and former President George W. Bush. Asked about Trump’s ideology, 38% said it was “about right.” Some 35% said the same thing about Obama, and 36% for Bush.
More Americans now agree that Trump has the leadership and character to be president — up to 40%, from 33%.
Of course he tops Obama. He never showed on hint of leadership.

But he doesn’t top Obama. If you follow the the links in Curt’s borrowed-but-not-attributed post all the way to the actual Gallup article, you’ll see that Obama demolishes Trump in the category of having “personality and leadership qualities a president should have” at this stage of their presidencies, 59% to 40%. That’s nearly twenty points! And Bush was even higher than that at 64%.

Did they actually list those qualities, or are those qualities each respondent gets to decide? Is being interviewed by bathtub cereal gal a leadership quality? How about dancing around the White House taking selfies? Or, how about weaponizing the IRS, DOJ, FBI and IC to attack political opponents?
In actual LEADERSHIP (not “personality”, which has nothing to do with leadership), Trump is far and above superior. Trump has succeeded, Obama did nothing but fail.

Just as you decided yours? In an article about a poll, you said that Trump “tops” Obama in a particular quality. The poll says the opposite. Deal with your screwup and quit it with the weaseling.
@Michael: I think you actually understand a point, finally! The polls are practically useless. But, the results show Trump a superior leader.
