DeSantis Rips Soros-funded DA Who May Indict Trump

Following President Trump’s prediction on Saturday that he would be arrested this coming Tuesday, his allies in the media and politics wasted no time in publicly pressuring Gov. DeSantis to denounce the law enforcement officials in New York. Predictably, they portrayed DeSantis’s so-called silence on the matter as nearly traitorous.

Jason Miller, a former senior adviser to Trump, blasted both DeSantis (a potential GOP candidate for president) and Nikki Haley, a current GOP candidate for president, for their silence on the issue. The Trump campaign’s “War Room” account similarly criticized “some individuals” for not speaking out, claiming, “Their silence will be judged by history.”

Much of the story about Trump’s potential indictment has been driven by rumor, leaks, and innuendo, while the facts have been, well, less than plentiful. That said, on Monday morning, a reporter asked DeSantis to respond to the reports of Trump’s potential indictment and what involvement he may have in possibly extraditing Trump to New York.

DeSantis handled the question masterfully, blasting Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg for being a Soros-funded DA who is committed to a political agenda, not the rule of law.

“So, I’ve seen rumors swirl. I have not seen any facts yet, and so I don’t know what’s going to happen, but I do know this,” DeSantis began. “The Manhattan district attorney is a Soros-funded prosecutor. And so, he, like other Soros-funded prosecutors — they weaponize their office to impose a political agenda on society at the expense of the rule of law and public safety.”

DeSantis then attacked Bragg’s record, noting that he’s “downgraded over 50% of the felonies to misdemeanors” and that he “doesn’t want to even have jail time for the vast, vast majority of crimes.”

Bragg’s soft-on-crime approach, DeSantis reckoned, has resulted in the crime rate in Manhattan skyrocketing.

Regarding the details of the Trump case, namely, the alleged hush money paid to Stormy Daniels, DeSantis said he couldn’t speak to that. But he continued to criticize Bragg’s politicizing his office to target Trump.

“If you have a prosecutor who is ignoring crimes happening every single day in his jurisdiction, and he chooses to go back many, many years ago to try to use something about porn star hush money payments, you know, that’s an example of pursuing a political agenda and weaponizing the office. And I think that that’s fundamentally wrong.”

DeSantis pointed out that the problem isn’t just Bragg; all Soros-funded district attorneys are following the playbook. “They ignore crime and they empower criminals, and that hurts people, hurts a lot of people every single day,” DeSantis said before calling these district attorneys “a menace to society.”

Weak and tepid. His consultants pushed him to comment amid dropping poll numbers. I like DeSantis a governor but not as a presidential candidate.

House Judiciary Committee Demands Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg Hand Over Documents and Testify Regarding Possible Donald Trump Indictment

The statute of limitations on a matter of “falsifying business records,” which Jordan said “would ordinarily be a misdemeanor subject to a two-year statute of limitations,” would have “expired long ago.”

Jordan also slammed who he called Bragg’s “star witness,” Michael Cohen.

“In addition to the novel and untested legal theory, your star witness for this prosecution has a serious credibility problem—a problem that you have reportedly recognized,” Jordan wrote. “This case relies heavily on the testimony of Michael Cohen, a convicted perjurer with a demonstrable prejudice against President Trump.”

Cohen was sentenced to three years in prison in 2018 after pleading guilty to federal charges, including lying to Congress, as well as campaign-finance violations and tax evasion.

“In 2019, when he testified before Democrats on the House Oversight Committee to aid their fruitless investigation into President Trump, Cohen lied again—six times,” Jordan said, adding that Cohen “has been vocal about his deeply personal animus toward President Trump.”

Jordan maintained that “the facts of this matter have not changed since 2018 and no new witnesses have emerged.”

“The only intervening factor, it appears, was President Trump’s announcement that he would be a candidate for President in 2024,” Jordan wrote.

I like DeSantis in that he has the primary quality it takes to advance against the left: disregard for what the leftist Ministry of Propaganda is saying about him and counterattacking their lies. DeSantis has also seen the benefits of fiercely opposing the woke culture and the left’s obsession with child sexual exploitation.

Soros and his ilk need to lose their American Citizenships and be returned to Europe to face Trial for his war Crimes during WW II him and his Open Borders groups along with the CFR/UN Etc. need to be charged with Treason as well as giving Aid and Comfort to the Enemy

Mini-Me weighs in: DeSantis publicly deplores Trump’s troubles, while secretly hoping they take him off the field. You’ve got to appreciate his two-faced nature.

Do you think DA’s should pursue violent criminals or political opponents?

I think Trump could unleash more violence than any previous domestic criminal.

I think Trump could unleash more violence than any previous domestic criminal.

Trump is no criminal, but Obama, Kamala, Waters, AOC, Omar and Tlaib have all incited far more violence than Trump who, to date, has incited exactly NONE.

I think Trump could unleash more violence than any previous domestic criminal.

Really? Show me just one instance where the Right committed more violence than Antifa/BLM during the summer of love.

You have always been lying scum.

What an asinine comment

This is DeSantis’ Scott walker moment.

DeSantis’ run for the WH in 2024 ended today and it is likely 2028 is in question.

What Walker said was true Trump read a left wing article and parroted it.
Had he cleaned the voter rolls got rid of the ERIC system in Wisconsin he would be our Governor not terrible Tony.

A Twit is not a news source.

How much dancing around did you do before someone pointed that out to you?

You won’t find Soros involved in or supporting anything that is good for America and Americans. He is disruptive scum, a socialist trying to help Democrats usher in their beloved totalitarian police state. Trump and anyone like him stands squarely in the way of that.

If Bragg indicts and arrests Trump, he will become the instant hero of the Democrats. They just love liars, scum, hate, disregard for truth and justice, dedication to fascism and contempt for the Constitution and Bragg certainly wraps all that up in one bag of shit. Bragg will seek higher office, regardless of how hard the charges are slammed down. Soros, of course, will do all he can to back him.

Don’t you ever wonder why, after 6 years of permanent investigations, pursuit and persecution, Trump’s arrest is finally eminent over something that has already been cleared by numerous prosecutors, the statute of limitations has expired on and had to be converted into a felony to even make prosecution viable? Is THAT what you’ve come to?

Trump paid his own money, what about the dirtbags in congress who paid with our Money?
