Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Rep. Tony Cardenas (D-CA) said the president’s decision to delay an executive order to grant amnesty to upwards of 5 million illegal immigrants currently living in the United States until after the mid-term elections is “frustrating,” and motivated by “politics.”
The California Democrat said, “The bottom line is of course there’s some politics going on. I don’t like what the president’s advisers may be telling him. I can only speculate that they’ve encouraged him to wait.”Cardenas said the Latino community is “frustrated with the president, but I think they’re really pissed off with the Republican Party and what they represent.”
Cardenas insisted the blame really belongs to the “disgusting, do-nothing Congress,” saying ,”Congress not doing its job and now the president is forced to have to take a measure like executive actions.”
I wonder when the Latinos will get tired of being the Democrat’s whore and used for political gain? The only time Obama ever did anything to patronize them was his illegal Dream Act executive action and that was only because he needed every vote he could scrape together in 2012 to overcome his horrible record as President. Now, when it would cost him votes, he does not feel their pain quite so much.
They can continue to be pissed at Republicans for not pretending to care about their illegal status and hopefully that will continue. Hopefully, along about the time they come to realize that the Democrats are just stringing them along for votes, they will realize that all they have to do is comply with the laws to have all they want in our great country and join with the Republicans.
But amnesty and all that free stuff is hard to turn down.
