As balancing for the anti-Romney stories the Times will promote in September and October, the Times treats us to an ‘expose’ of the close ties between Obama and Exelon, a major utility that has benefited from having the White House in its pocket. Its summertime and no one will notice, so I guess no one will notice a glaring omission from the Times piece – Exelon was formed by the merger of power companies in Chicago and Philadelphia. The Chicago company was once run by Thomas Ayers, patriarch of the Ayers family andprobable guardian angel of the young Barack Obama as he rosethrough Chicago politics.
