Biden’s mental sharpness is increasingly doubtful, and it’s a serious issue

How do you know President Joe Biden is genuinely losing the mental faculties required to govern? One way is to look at his White House staff scrambling to cover up every clue that this is the case.

At a recent event, Biden called for Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-IN) to come forward, but the congresswoman was killed last month in a car crash.

“I want to thank all of you here, including bipartisan elected officials like Rep. McGovern, Sen. Braun, Sen. Booker, Rep. — Jackie, are you here? Where’s Jackie? I thought she was going to be here — to help make this a reality.”

Walorski’s death in Elkhart, Indiana, in August had been traumatic for all of Washington and for the Michiana-area district she served. Walorski, who had written op-eds for the Washington Examiner, was killed along with two staffers while visiting and serving constituents. Her bipartisan work on hunger, the subject of the event in question, had earned her respect on both sides of the aisle.

That Biden should forget all of this was really awkward. There was even a video memorial to Walorski at the very event at which Biden was speaking.

Anyone can make a mistake. But most people can admit they made a mistake, especially when it is so public and so obvious that there’s no chance of papering it over.

But not Biden — and not his staff.

Biden’s White House could have admitted that their boss goofed — “He had a momentary lapse of memory,” they could have said. They could have also thrown in the line suggested by the Washington Examiner’s Tim Carney: “He is embarrassed and has reached out to the family.” This would have been adequate.

Instead, Biden’s spokeswoman, Karine Jean-Pierre, offered a completely baffling, bizarre explanation that somehow implied this was perfectly normal.

“She was on his mind. She was top of mind for the president,” Jean-Pierre told reporters Wednesday. “He looks very much forward to discussing her service with them when he sees her family this coming Friday.”

Nothing to see here, folks!

This inability to admit error suggests Biden’s mental acuity may be worse than people outside the White House realize. He is losing it so quickly and so badly that his staff feels they cannot admit anything that suggests he is a real live wire, 100% up to the job.

There have been signs all along — as, for example, when Biden repeatedly confused former British Prime Minister Theresa May with the long-dead Margaret Thatcher. Or when he said Democrats would “take back” the House in 2020 (they already controlled it), referred to a big primary election day as “Super Thursday,” or blanked on the most famous phrase in the Declaration of Independence and shouted midspeech, “You know, you know — the thing!” Biden has at times struggled to remember who works for him and in what capacity.

These incidents continued, and Biden has said things that he did not mean or that his staff subsequently thought best to claim he did not mean.

Where’s Jackie?

34-Year Democrat Goes Rogue, Abandons Party After Realizing Just How Bad Things Have Gotten

Dr. Jill Nudges a Confused Joe Biden Off Stage

While we are at it can we check the VP? She says N.Korea is an ally, who knew?

This is what the combination of a gaffe machine, a pathological liar and a mentally deficient looks like. Worse, the first two characteristics SHOULD disqualify anyone from being President, so we shouldn’t be seeing (and, but for fraud, we wouldn’t be) all three combined AND in the White House.

It’s not just age; we see plenty of people that old with great mental aptitude. Trump is only a few years younger and is so formidable that Democrats try incessantly to destroy him. No, idiot Biden has been heading to this point his entire career. It was inevitable.
