Don’t get your hopes up. It’s deja vu all over again

He’s back.

Just in time for another election. I wrote about him over a year ago. He’s the weasel who, along with the FBI, changed the outcome of the 2020 election by suppressing the case against Hunter Biden.

David Weiss is the US Attorney for the state of Delaware. This is what Politico had to say about him

Last summer, federal officials in Delaware investigating Hunter Biden faced a dilemma. The probe had reached a point where prosecutors could have sought search warrants and issued a flurry of grand jury subpoenas. Some officials involved in the case wanted to do just that. Others urged caution. They advised Delaware’s U.S. Attorney, David Weiss, to avoid taking any actions that could alert the public to the existence of the case in the middle of a presidential election.

“To his credit, he listened,” said a person involved in the discussions, reported here for the first time. Weiss decided to wait, averting the possibility that the investigation would become a months-long campaign issue.

Got that? Two years ago they could have SWATted Hunter Biden for tax evasion, money laundering, making a false statement on an application for a gun permit and reckless disposal of said weapon, but alas, no.

Two years. Two effing years they’ve had to act. Now suddenly, at the eve of another election, this case is again breathing life.

But why? Why now?

Being the cynic I am, I believe we’re simply being made aware that Weiss is really, really serious about the case (to placate the right) but will once again “wait” because it might affect the election. That will give Weiss another two years to smother it if he chooses.

This case is rife with conflict of interest. Hunter Biden hired defense attorney Chris Clark. Nothing the Biden’s do is without a self-interested motivation and this was no different.

Clark was hired by Hunter Biden in December of 2020. One month later, on Joe Biden’s inauguration day, Biden appointed Nicolas McQuaid to be acting head of the Justice Department’s criminal division.

And here’s why

Clark, a partner at New York-based firm Latham & Watkins, worked with Nicholas McQuaid on at least four different cases when he was also a partner at the practice, court records indicate. The cases were high-stakes commercial litigation where the pair regularly defended clients facing multimillion-dollar lawsuits.

In theory, McQuaid is required to have a waiver to be part of the case, but there is no evidence he did

Clark and the White House did not respond to request for comment from The Post. A Department of Justice spokesperson declined to comment but said that McQuaid had signed a “Biden Ethics Pledge” when he joined the DOJ, in which he agreed to “not for a period of 2 years from the date of my appointment participate in any particular matter involving specific parties that is directly and substantially related to my former employer or former clients, including regulations and contracts.”

This case is already fixed. It will once again be put on the back burner so as “not to affect” an election. At worst, Hunter Biden will get a slap on the wrist. There will be no SWATting Biden. No 25 heavily armed agents storming his current abode in the dark of the early morning. No shackles as he tries to board a jet. No being thrown into solitary. That is reserved for people like pro-life pastors and elderly Republican advisers.

I expect we will once again be reminded of just how f**ked up this country is and how perverted the justice system has become.

Nailed It!

The Washington Post claims David Weiss is a Trump appointee. That’s true but misleading — first he was an Obama appointee, serving as interim US Attorney 2009-2011.
There’s also the issue of “Senatorial courtesy,” whereby the Senator from the state suggests the US Attorney that will serve that state. The president usually respects this choice. This means that one of Delaware’s two Democrat Senators must have put forward his name to Trump, and nominated him again to Biden.
To keep pounding the drum that he’s a “Trump nominee” is so misleading as to essentially be a lie. He’s not some kind of Trump favorite. It’s not like Trump picked up the phone and said (Trump voice ON) “Get me Big Dave, I want Big Dave.”
He was previously an Obama US Attorney had has been twice nominated by Democrat Senators.

If you think they will actually look into the child porn on the laptop or the China deals you are smoking better crack than Hunter.
