I was not especially in favor of Trump running again but the Jan 6 committee jackasses are really making me rethink that

This thing began as sh*t show right from the outset when, for the first time in the country’s history, Pelosi denied Republicans the right to choose their members of a committee. Brett Hume remarked

“I’ve covered Washington for more than 50 years, including 11 years covering Congress specifically. I’ve never seen a committee all of whose members were chosen by one party, and where there is no cross-examination or any attempt to present both sides,”

It was one sided and it was dishonest, and it was deceitful. Chairman Bennie Thompson made absolutely certain that this was to be a lynching. He invoked slavery in his opening remarks. Then he declared Nancy Pelosi “off limits”, which immediately raised the specter of her culpability in the Jan 6 events.

It was so bad that even a CNN legal analyst called it out

“A prosecutor has to prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt, the standard for a member of Congress saying it’s a crime is they feel like saying it’s a crime,” Elie Honig, a senior legal analyst and former prosecutor said on CNN’s “New Day” Friday morning. “Also important to keep in mind last night’s presentation was bipartisan, yes, but one-sided. There was no push back, there was no cross-examination.”

It gets much worse. They lied:

CLAIM: President Donald Trump failed to stop rioters who were “savagely beating and killing law enforcement officers.”

VERDICT: FALSE. While some rioters attacked police, they did not kill any; the only person killed was a fellow rioter.

The committee said witnesses are never corroborated. The committee had witnesses testify in secret so they could frame the testimony to suit them. The lack of opposition, the lack of questioning from the media allows them to throw out as much excrement on the wall as they want, hoping much of it sticks.

They altered evidence

The Jan. 6 committee admitted that it changed a text message between former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows and Rep. Jim Jordan, excluding relevant context about how they wanted then-Vice President Mike Pence to handle electoral votes.

They omitted exculpatory evidence

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), who featured prominently in the Democrats’ first January 6 hearing Thursday night, read a tweet during the hearing from former President Donald Trump but omitted the final sentences where he told protesters to “go home with love and in peace.”

They omitted a letter from DC Mayor Muriel Bowser declining the National Guard.

They omitted not just some words, but entire actions:

The complete passage — hardly mentioned by Democrats at the hearings or the news media covering them — is worth absorbing in its entirety.

“Mr. Miller and GEN Milley met with the President at the White House at 5:30 p.m.,” the IG reported. “The primary topic they discussed was unrelated to the scheduled rally. GEN Milley told us that at the end of the meeting, the President told Mr. Miller that there would be a large number of protestors on January 6, 2021, and Mr. Miller should ensure sufficient National Guard or Soldiers would be there to make sure it was a safe event. Gen Milley told us that Mr. Miller responded, ‘We’ve got a plan and we’ve got it covered.'”

On the evening of January 5—the night before a white supremacist mob stormed Capitol Hill in a siege that would leave five dead—the acting secretary of defense, Christopher Miller, was at the White House with his chief of staff, Kash Patel. They were meeting with President Trump on “an Iran issue,” Miller told me. But then the conversation switched gears. The president, Miller recalled, asked how many troops the Pentagon planned to turn out the following day. “We’re like, ‘We’re going to provide any National Guard support that the District requests,’” Miller responded. “And [Trump] goes, ‘You’re going to need 10,000 people.’ No, I’m not talking bullshit. He said that. And we’re like, ‘Maybe. But you know, someone’s going to have to ask for it.’” At that point Miller remembered the president telling him, “‘You do what you need to do. You do what you need to do.’ He said, ‘You’re going to need 10,000.’ That’s what he said. Swear to God.”

Disregarding this information is the epitome of mendacity.

The Jan 6 clowns were trying to establish criminality but despite asserting it, they have failed and they know they’ve failed. The lunatic Elaine Luria (D-VA) tried to paste Trump as a “domestic terrorist.” Now they are resorting to “dereliction of duty” which, given the above, won’t wash either.

democrats flat out admitted that this is all intended to affect the 2024 elections. There will be another grand CBS TV producer manufactured production hearing in September, so the effort is not only meant to affect the 2024 elections but also part of the scheme to upend the 2022 midterms.

Truth. Oath. Character. These are fine words, but the actions of this wretched committee not only step on them, they trash them into oblivion. Adam Kinzinger is an utter and total fraud, as are all of the committee. Their deceit is likely to backfire.

I am getting to the point that I want Trump to run again and win again in order to snuff out this disgusting travesty and shove it up the asses of all on this execrable committee and frankly, up the asses of all democrats.
