In what is a transparent act of virtue signaling, the Biden administration has taken to flying the LGBTQ pride flag over all US embassies around the world. Nominee for Secretary of State Antony “Winken” Blinken (Nodd) explained it this way:
“We’ve seen violence directed against LGBTQI people around the world increase,” Blinken said. “And so, I think the United States playing the role that it should be playing in standing up for and defending the rights of LGBTQI people is something that the department is going to take on and take on immediately. Raising the pride flag is one way to outright show LGBTQ solidarity.”
Standing up for and defending the rights of LGBTQI. Right. Except when it’s inconvenient.
Biden cannot wait to get back in the good graces of Iran and rejoin the garbage known as JCPOA. How does Iran treat gays? Not great.
The Islamic Republic of Iran publicly hanged a 31-year-old Iranian man after he was found guilty of charges related to violations of Iran’s anti-gay laws, according to the state-controlled Iranian Students’ News Agency.
The unidentified man was hanged on January 10 in the southwestern city of Kazeroon based on criminal violations of “lavat-e be onf” – sexual intercourse between two men, as well as kidnapping charges, according to ISNA. Iran’s radical sharia law system prescribes the death penalty for gay sex.
Iran fiercely defends its policy of executing gays:
Zarif defended his country’s draconian policies at a joint press conference with German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas in Tehran on Monday.
A reporter from German tabloid Bild asked: “Why are homosexuals executed in Iran because of their sexual orientation?”
He responded: “Our society has moral principles. And we live according to these principles. These are moral principles concerning the behavior of people in general. And that means that the law is respected and the law is obeyed,” after railing against human rights violations by the US and Israel.
The Biden family cartel has also fattened its collective wallet with the Chinese Communist Party, so Biden is not going to upset the sampan. White House spokesperson Jen Psaki has made clear Biden is going to sit on his hands when it comes to China. The policy was euphemistically called “strategic patience.”

The worst place in the world for LGBT to live is China, according to a survey that puts Beijing at the bottom of a list of most welcoming cities, alongside several other Chinese cities.
To celebrate Pride Month, German housing website Nestpick ranked the most welcoming cities for people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer. Beijing came last out of a 100 cities, while Shanghai sat at number 89 and Hong Kong at 83.
At the other end, Madrid topped the list, followed by Amsterdam, Toronto, Tel Aviv and London.
Last week, Shanghai Pride activists told The Daily Beast about LGBT life in China, saying that although gay clubs exist, few people come out as many people struggle to be accepted by families and the state. Homosexuality in China was decriminalized in 1997, and was removed from an official list of mental illnesses a few years later.
A 2013 survey by the Pew Research Center found that just 21 percent of China’s population was in favor of homosexuality. There are clinics in China offer still offer “conversion therapy” to homosexuals.
It’s nice to know that in the face of massive debt, child suicides, a raging pandemic and skyrocketing crime and murders the Biden administration takes on flying the LGBTQI flag everywhere as a critical action. Worse is that it’s just pablum, just words. They mean none of it. Not really.
Virtue signaling is a heck of a way to govern a nation.

I notice that gays in the US are extremely nationalistic in that they care enthusiastically for their “right” to demand that anything they feel is a right becomes a right everyone else has to honor, respect and endorse but they don’t have the view that their president* sidling up to governments that persecute and kill gays is bad, as long as they are getting the required amount of pandering. The same goes for radical women’s rights supporters. They only care about getting THEIRS and that can only be acquired here, in the “most racist, homophobic, misogynistic” country on the planet.

I always thought that fact was an overlooked added motive for all the violence.
