Ted Wheeler is the feckless incompetent mayor of Portland Oregon. Portland has seen violent protests for about 100 nights in a row now. Donald Trump offered to send in Federal support to stem the violence but Wheeler refused the assistance.
Wheeler, as noted here, is content to allow the rioting to “burn itself out” regardless of how much damage his constituents have to suffer. His strategy of appeasement has born fruit. The crocodile has come for Wheeler.

Were those “protesters” to do as they did to the Federal building with police inside- seal it with concrete and set it on fire it would be one more lesson for Wheeler.

In my life I cannot remember mayors and governors so willing to allow violence and destruction to run rampant and wreak havoc on their populations. The best thing Wheeler could do for his city is resign and move to Venezuela.

The scream before that un-named man was shot to death was, “There’s a Trumper! I got one here!,” then came the Bang! Bang!
After the police (finally) arrived, the blacks on the scene spun a tale that had nothing to do with all the existing videos.
The man was not part of any demonstration.
He was walking alone when he was surrounded and attacked.
It was NOT a “driveby,” a man took off after shooting.

Did Wheeler really think calling the police a “bureau” instead of a “department,” would solve even one problem?
His live news conference today showed he’s ready to do as much of a capitulation to the Lefty rioters as his city gov’t will allow.
So, I guess rioters’ checkpoints will be part of Portland’s new normal.
