It wasn’t bad enough that Adam Schiff yammered away for what seemed like eternity over the 24 hours allotted for democrats to try to conjure up a case against Donald Trump. No, they had to reach for utterly incredible heights in hypocrisy and hyperbole. These are some of my favorite moments:
Trump must be impeached for criticizing impeachment
House Democrats claimed Friday afternoon in President Donald Trump’s Senate trial that his comments on Twitter, in press conferences, and at campaign rallies criticizing the impeachment inquiry were impeachable “obstruction.”
Rep. Sylvia Garcia (D-TX), opened the impeachment managers’ case on the second article of impeachment, for “obstruction of Congress,” noting that the president had told reporters that “there should be a way of stopping it, maybe legally, through the courts.”

Nadler calls Trump a “dictator”, completely missing the irony of his being able to even blather such a thing
House Impeachment Manager Jerry Nadler to the 63 million Americans who voted for President @realDonaldTrump:

Schiff warns GOP Senators that their heads could end up on pikes if they don’t remove Trump from office
“That’s not true,” Susan Collins said several times on the floor, shaking her head when Schiff cited a news report saying WH warned senators that a vote against Trump means “your head will be on a pike.” Risch also said aloud: “That’s not true.” Cotton laughed when Schiff said it

Max Boot said the Trump phone call was worse than Japanese internment in WWI or the Trail of Tears
The Washington Post opinion page takes a short break from calling everyone "Russian assets" for this legendary @MaxBoot take suggesting that President Trump is somehow worse than FDR's Japanese internment and Jackson's trail of tears.

Adam Schiff confirmed to us that no one has a right to investigate a Presidential candidate unless the candidate is Donald Trump
Today, Schiff and the Democrats are arguing that it is an impeachable offense for a president to investigate foreign corruption by a potential president from the opposition — even when, as in the Bidens’ case, former Vice President Joe Biden had a clear conflict of interest while his son, Hunter, was on the board of Ukrainian company Burisma.
According to Schiff just last April, it is not an impeachable offense, but an urgent matter of national security for a president to investigate his potential successor.
It is the president’s duty. That is, unless the president is Donald J. Trump.
I find this to be terrifyingly well grounded
Also terrifying is that Adam Schiff serves as Asst US Atty in California, actually prosecuting. Every single one of his convictions should be investigated. https://t.co/Qbj2DGDVxn

I have to agree. Given Schiff’s mendacity and history of withholding evidence, it would do justice to each and every one of his convictions reviewed. He is a despicable liar. And he added this beauty
Russia carried out a coup by controlling Trump
Lead House impeachment manager Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) claimed on the Senate floor Friday afternoon that Russia had carried out a propaganda “coup” by manipulating President Donald Trump.
Schiff, delivering the closing address on the third day of House Democrats’ opening argument on the first article of impeachment, claimed that Russia had done a “psychological profile” of Trump and manipulated him into believing Russian intelligence.
I enjoyed every second of democrats being eviscerated but not everyone did- including this notoriously conservative blogger
I suspected all along it would be very short since they have no facts and no legitimate legal argument. You cannot say blah-blah-blah for more than a couple hours at a stretch. Hope the Senate D's are preparing some killer questions for the clownish lawyers.
