This has been a masterful display on the part of Donald Trump and a shameful one on the parts of democrats and the left wing media. Once more he plays chess to their checkers.

Iran mounted an attack in response to the termination of Soleimani – a very meager one. The military knew it was coming
U.S. military officials were warned about Iran’s pending ballistic missile strike “when the air defense systems went active” shortly before the attack was launched, a U.S. official in Baghdad told Fox News on Wednesday.
U.S. intelligence picked up “chatter” from Iran and inside Iraq, tipping off American forces to a strike around 1:30 a.m. local time — or 5:30 p.m. ET. Soon after, Iran launched more than a dozen short-range ballistic missiles into Iraq, striking military bases housing American and coalition troops.
Officials said there were no reported casualties.
Besides, they told us. The Iranians told the Iraqis who told us.
A senior U.S. official told Fox News that Iranian officials warned Iraq about the pending missile attack because Tehran did not want to kill Iraqi forces. Some Iraqi forces also warned their American counterparts, however, the U.S. had already known “for hours” that Iran was planning to launch the attack.
“That warning was not a surprise to us,” the U.S. official added. “We already knew it was coming.”
So they cleared out the bases and waited. Fifteen missiles fired, 4 failed and the damage was relatively minor.
Among all the screams to de-escalate, Trump was already de-escalating
Pentagon officials told Fox News the advance warning of the Iranian missile attack is the reason Defense Secretary Mark Esper held a hasty press conference Tuesday afternoon. He said he wanted to offer Iran an off-ramp talk “without preconditions,” he told reporters.
This morning Iran claims it wants no more escalation.
This all appears almost choreographed. Iran knows Soleimani was a bad ass and Trump was right to end him but Iran needed to save face. Trump granted them the opportunity to do that- a weak response causing no casualties and not much damage and everyone seems content- at least so far.
A fair trade. Well done.
All while the media and the left wing media were rooting for Trump to fail.

Not that it is that difficult (Democrats seem to do a pretty good job of it themselves), Trump makes the Democrats look totally stupid. They quaked and quivered, wet themselves and begged Iran not to attack and enslave us all. Trump showed he had taken their measure, calculated their response, killed their leader of terrorism and then backed them down. Perhaps he has even opened the path to diplomatic talks. Or, he rolled the dice, gambled and won. Either way, we had a leader at the helm that steered the nation to a great victory; he killed Soleimani and Iran didn’t do a damned thing about it.
Trump outsmarted his enemies; the Iranians AND the Democrats, who were on the same side, opposing the United States and the American people. Democrats are transforming themselves into one anomalous Joe Biden, wrong about everything, every time. Well, no recession, no World War III. Better luck next time, thanks for playing.

Here’s the problem with a tit-for-tat with Muslims:
They practice hudna (calling it even, or a truce, so they can lull you into relaxing while they re-arm.)
They also practice taqiyya (lying to infidels is A-OK.)
And, as Osama bin Laden taught us, they never give up land once controlled (Osama blamed Islam’s loss of SPAIN 700 years ago for his attack on 9-11-01.)
Muslims will harbor their resentment and claim of victimhood until the Strong Horse of Pres Trump is off stage.
As soon as another appeaser is in charge they will hit us harder than Benghazi, the Iraq Embassy or those military bases.
PS, the Ground Zero Mosque is back on at the place where the World Trade Center once stood because Muslims never give up ground once conquered.
