Eight people were killed yesterday in New York City.
Five Argentine nationals and a Belgian were among those killed when a man plowed into pedestrians and cyclists on a bike path in New York City, authorities said Tuesday.
CBS News identified the suspect as Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov, who once worked as an Uber driver. Police shot the suspect after he exited the vehicle and shouted “Allahu Akbar” which means “God is great” in Arabic. He is currently in police custody and officials said they are investigating the incident as an act of terror.
Saipov is said to have acted on behalf of ISIS. How Saipov, who is from Uzbekistan, get to the US?

Donald Trump wants to end the program. John McCain does not. The program adds nothing to the US:
As Breitbart News reported, the elimination of the Diversity Visa Lottery was supported by Civil Rights icon Barbara Jordan, whose 1995 immigration subcommittee found that the program did not serve the national interest of the American people.

The support shown here of trump’s claim that American born Judge Gonzalo Curiel was unqualified to preside over the trump university case because of his heritage is another. I could list a great deal more but the general consensus of today’s so-called conservatives and Trump supporters seems to be a disqualification of folks that are, well, shall we say “not like us” and a much stronger enforcement and vetting of those not looking “like us” (again, Joe Arpiro is exactly that), that they are the “rapist, murders, drug dealers” which somehow differs from that of the pure white American male.
I guess where it gets tricky is that in your desire for “security” which we all want to some degree, the Constitution is quite clear in the 1st Amendment that you just can’t imprison people based on their religious beliefs (which is what your ban advocacy does), that even illegal immigrants have certain rights(Section One of the 14th Amendment) and that “All persons born or naturalized in the United States” are entitled to the same protections and due process Amendments 5 though 13 and explicitly in 14) . So it’s kinda hard to phantom (other than to deduce you harbor some deep seated bigotry or belief of supremacy) how you can support a religious ban, the profiled enforcement and imprisonment we saw from Joe Arpairo, or buy into a concept that a well educated American born judge is unworthy of presiding over a white man because of his heritage.
