Trump delivered an excellent speech to the UN yesterday. It’s quality can be judged on the Liberal Indignation Meter and it pretty maxed out. The response to Trump’s speech was mostly dimwitted and unsurprising but some of the response was very disappointing. No one expected Iran, Venezuela and North Korea to look favorably upon the speech and they did not.
Left wingers hated the speech. Their hatred of Trump impaired their memories and thought processes. Politico chose to defend Kin Jong Un:

And much like the North Korea’s “Rocketman,” as President Trump calls Kim Jong-un who is known for bombastic statements, Iranian lawmakers recently chanted “death to America” on the floor of their parliament. Rouhani himself has been quoted touting his country’s “nuclear victory,” something Holt’s meager reporting failed to bring up but NBC managed to cover once before.
It’s not surprising that Holt would blatantly omit damaging information about the Iranian government. For many months, NBC Nightly News had refused to report on any hostile actions by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard that put U.S. sailors at risk in the Strait of Hormuz.
No, this was all about making Trump look bad. Now we come to the liberal media stricken with Alzheimer’s.

The problem here is that liberals are used to obama going to the UN bashing the US and apologizing for the US while globe trotting in Muslim nations and the love it. They’re used to obama bowing to Saudi kinds and groveling to Iranian leaders and sending them billions in cash. All this US-first stuff eats at them. The little fat Rocket Boy has been threatening to destroy the US for some time
A spokesman for NK’s ruling party said: “Through the two successful ICBM test-launches the DPRK has put the whole U.S. mainland in its striking range and clearly showed that it can turn the American empire into a sea in flames through sudden surprise attack from any region and area.
“Whatever means and methods the U.S. may employ, they will never work on the DPRK. The U.S. fate is in the hands of the DPRK.
“If the US and south Korean warmongers persist in reckless action in disregard of our repeated warnings, we will decisively take a strong retaliatory step.”
Meanwhile, an editorial run in one of Korea’s state-run newspapers described the US as a “war merchant living on human blood,” while the official newspaper said the US “would meet horrible nuclear strike and miserable and final ruin” in the event of an attack.
And liberals love it because they hate the US almost as much as Rocket Boy.
The other night the European Foriegn Minister said “We never talk about destroying countries.” All the sanctions the UN has enacted against North Korea have failed and the UN has pretty much thrown in the towel, so maybe it’s time for someone to talk about destroying countries that threaten the US. I suspect that Kim i looking to extort Trump the way Iran extorted obama, but that’s not going to happen.
There may not be a good answer to this dilemma, although I think it hinges on Russia and China. Neither wants to see a war because both have much to lose. It would definitely be in China’s interest in particular to enable a decapitation action in North Korea and bring some sanity to the regime. In the meanwhile, it’d be nice if democrats and the liberal media weren’t siding with North Korea.

You don’t get it. China stands to lose a lot more than US trade if they do not control N. Korea more closely. This is why they have announced that if N. Korea provokes an attack against it, China will not interfere. China, of course, wants to maintain N. Korea as a distinctive thorn in our side, but that is becoming more and more difficult if Un continues to pursue his own agenda.
