Trump is having a field day with the media

democrats and the media are coming unglued. Completely unglued. Donald Trump has their heads spinning as he trolls them non-stop. Trump fired James Comey and while no one has really said that Comey didn’t need to go, the left is all frothing at the mouth about the timing, which I suspect is no accident.

Elizabeth Warren said that Trump “no doubt” fired Comey to kill the Russia investigation.

But Acting Director Wayne McCabe said the not only will the probe go on, but that no one has attempted to interfere with it.

But McCabe told senators that the investigation – which he called “highly significant” — is continuing unimpeded.

“The work continues despite any changes in circumstances,” McCabe said. “There has been no effort to impede our investigation to date. You cannot stop the men and women of the FBI from doing the right thing, protecting the American people and upholding the Constitution.”

Comey originally had been set to testify Thursday about worldwide threats, but McCabe appeared in his place, offering assurances to lawmakers that if there was any interference he would inform them. When asked by Sen. Mark Warner, D-Va., if he would promise to tell them of any moves to interfere in the probe, McCabe said: “I absolutely do.”

The NY Times reported that Comey was asking for more money for the Russian investigation days before his firing said “three congressional officials familiar with the matter” :

Days before he was fired, former FBI Director James Comey asked the Justice Department for additional resources to expand the bureau’s investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 presidential election, according to multiple press reports.

Not so, said McCabe.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The FBI’s acting head said on Thursday he believed the agency has sufficient resources to investigate alleged Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. election and he was not aware of any request for more resources.

“If you are referring to the Russia investigation, I do. I believe we have the adequate resources to do it and I know that we have resourced that investigation adequately,” acting FBI director Andrew McCabe told lawmakers, adding that he was unaware of any request by the agency for additional resources.

And that such a request would be highly unusual:

Senator:  “Can you confirm that that request [funding request for Russia probe] was, in fact, made?”

McCabe“I can not confirm that request was made.

As you know, when we need resources, we make those requests here.  So, I’m not aware of that request and it’s not consistent with my understanding of how we request additional resources.

That said, we don’t typically request resources for an individual case.  And, as I mentioned, I strongly believe that the Russia investigation is adequately resourced.”

And McCabe did not see the need for a special prosecutor:

Senator Lankford:  “Is it your impression at this point that the FBI is unable to complete the investigation in a fair and expeditious way because of the removal of Jim Comey?”

McCabe:  “Is is my opinion and belief that the FBI will continue to pursue this investigation vigorously and completely.”

Senator Lankford:  “Do you need someone to take this away from you and somebody else to do it?”

McCabe:  “No, sir.”

Sen. Ed Markey of Massachusetts beclowned himself when spread false information to CNN:

Sen. Ed Markey (D., Mass.) on Wednesday spread a false news story about the investigation into President Donald Trump’s campaign team’s purported ties to Russia.

“There are very strong allegations that the Russians had relationships with people inside of the Trump campaign,” Markey said during an interview on CNN.

“In fact, subpoenas have now been issued in Northern Virginia with regard to General [Michael Flynn] and General Flynn’s associates,” Markey continued. “A grand jury has been impanelled up in New York.”

Markey took the information from left wing blogs and had to eat his words later:

“This morning Senator Markey erroneously reported that a grand jury has been empaneled in New York related to the wider inquiry of possible Trump campaign and administration ties to Russia,” a spokesman said in a statement.

“Senator Markey does not have direct intelligence that is the case, and the information he was provided during a briefing is not substantiated,” the statement continued. “Subpoenas have been issued in Eastern Virginia, but Senator Markey apologizes for the confusion.”

CNN’s Jim Acosta was galactically trolled by Trump. Trump met with two Russian officials at the White House and shut out the US press, allowing only TASS , an official White House photographer and a Russian photographer. The media wasn’t happy:

The distribution prompted fury from members of the U.S. press for their perceived shutout of the meeting, and their reliance on Russian state run media to get a look into the meeting. The move left the U.S. press reliant only on the Russian government distributed photos for a meeting between their President and foreign officials.

Then someone allegedly leaked to Acosta that the White House was “furious” over the Russians publishing the photos.

This is hysterical. Trump was “bamboozled”? No.

How can anyone in their right mind truly believe that Trump allowed the Russian photographer to capture images and would not publish them?

Pulllleeez.

Meanwhile, democrats are stewing in the broth of their own hypocrisy. They scream about Trump firing Comey  but they all wanted Comey fired last year. Here’s a tasty treat:

https://youtu.be/NPE1s2hkYuQ

Chuck Schumer lost confidence in Comey last November. Rosie O’Donnell wanted Comey fired.

Trump nailed her:

And dear Maxine Waters can’t stop making as ass of herself. She said Trump firing Comey was wrong but that she would support hillary clinton firing Comey.

However, in the interview Wednesday on MSNBC, asked if she would be okay with a hypothetical President Hillary Clinton dismissing Comey from his position, Waters said yes.

“If she had won the White House, I believe that given what he did to her, and what he tried to do, she should have fired him. Yes,” the California Democrat said.

“So she should have fired him but had he shouldn’t fire him. This is why I’m confused,” Alexander said to Waters.

“No, no you’re not confused,” Waters told Alexander.

“I am confused,” Alexander responded.

She had publicly stated that Comey “had no credibility.”

Just last week Adam Schiff was highly critical of Comey but strained his neck from whiplash while pirouetting to his new perch:

He also said by firing Comey, Trump caused the public to wonder:

By firing Comey, Trump again has caused the public to wonder whether there is more here than meets the eye. To the long list of questions about his former national security adviser, his attorney general’s flawed testimony before the Senate and his campaign’s contacts with Russia, we must now add one more: Why, really, did the president fire James Comey?

However, last week Schiff blasted Comey, after the former FBI director defended his decision to announce the FBI was reopening the investigation into Hillary Clinton.

He told CNN last Wednesday that Comey’s decision was “colossally poor exercise of his judgment that has had really significant consequences:”

Consequences on how the country now views the FBI, how it views the Justice Department, I think it has cast a lot of doubt on the impartiality – the apolitical nature of the FBI, and he did the very same damage to the bureau that I think he was hoping to avoid.

He added: “I think it was a very bad judgment that had a very substantial and adverse consequence.”

The last time a President fired an FBI Director? Why, that was Bill Clinton, who fired William Sessions one day before Vince Foster was found dead.

democrats need to tread lightly here. That might get more than they are ask for, i.e. a new review of the hillary clinton scandal:

Brian Weidner, a veteran former FBI agent, suggested both the case and the immunity deals struck during that investigation could be revisited.

“I would be surprised if they did not review all the investigations regarding HRC and come up with [a] conclusion regarding prosecution. The statute of limitations hasn’t come into play yet,” he said in an email to Fox News.

As for the immunity deals struck with key players in the Clinton orbit, he noted those deals are “with the government, so in theory it wouldn’t change.”

However, he wrote, “a new AG and new director may take a good look at the entire case, and if anyone who received immunity did not live up to their agreement, like Huma [Abedin] with the classified documents on her computer, the deal is off and they are potential targets again.”

I suspect all this is happening for a reason. Trump is impeaching the media. He ponders cancelling press briefings for the sake of accuracy:

“As a very active President with lots of things happening, it is not possible for my surrogates to stand at podium with perfect accuracy!……Maybe the best thing to do would be to cancel all future “press briefings” and hand out written responses for the sake of accuracy???”

And then spelled it out

It’s Trump’s turn to unmask- to unmask the press as an arm of the DNC.

@Richard Wheeler:

I said Obama was personally free from scandal for 8 years. Which of course he was.

When did you branch over into comedy? All you’re doing is shilling for the liberal press. It’s easy to ‘say’ someone is ‘scandal free’ it’s something else for it to be true. Incidentally, why do you list ‘scandals’ you attribute to Trump that belong to his admin? In fact, would you try to list one personal scandal attributed to Trump? Some of us don’t know of any.

@Redteam: As Yogi would say FA is 80% comedy and the other half is serious.
Todays Yogiism Always go to other people’s funerals.Otherwise they won’t come to yours.

@Richard Wheeler:

free from scandal for 8 years. Which of course he was.

No, actually you said this:

What scandals? Obama’s eight years were scandal free

Which, of course, is a huge lie.

This is where your concept of leadership comes into question. Who do you think was supposedly in charge during those years?

But, on a personal level, he issued Executive Privilege protection to Holder for Fast and Furious, lied about the extent of the IRS scandal, if not directed it personally. How about the Benghazi lies?

Then there’s the “You can keep your insurance” scandal where 7 million people lost theirs thanks directly to his lies. That’s sort of scandalous, isn’t it?

The insanity was voting for any OTHER than Trump, thus all but assuring the least qualified, most corrupt criminal liar ever to run (whom you pretend to disdain) would win (thank God she didn’t).

The people at the meeting with the Russians (and the Russians) have debunked the accusations. These are people with names who stand by their statements, not unnamed leftist weasels trying to destroy the country because they are sore losers.

@Richard Wheeler: I like his “when you come to a fork in the road, take it.”

@Redteam: Good one
Today’s Yogiism “Better cut the pizza in 4 pieces. I’m not hungry enough to eat 6.”.
FOR DT “I never said most of the things I’ve said.”

@Richard Wheeler: I probably have not said a lot of things I’ve said.

@Redteam: I’ll say this
I believe James Comey intends to bring down Donald Trump on obstruction of justice—the memorialized memos will be damning. Trump may have tapes that will be subpoenad. Rather than back Trump they will confirm Comey’s assertions–if they exist at all.
Comey’s got an ego like Trump. He’s irate at THE WAY he was fired. He’s been building a case if needed and he will now unleash it—-stand by.

@Richard Wheeler: So you BELIEVE Trump went to Comey, said “drop the investigation”, fired him when he didn’t, not expecting the angry, crybaby, sore loser left and the corrupt liberal media to attack over it? I think I see why you preferred Hillary and still support Obama.

@Bill- Deplorable Me: Couldn’t stand HRC or DT–didn’t vote for either. My conscience is clear.
The petulant cry baby is Trump–do you listen to his tweets? Can’t even give a commencement speech without talking about himself.
Trump fired Comey in his words “Trump Russian thing.”

It’s almost noon where all the “news” headquarters are and there haven’t been any new “scandals” revealed. Very disappointed. I feel cheated.

@Richard Wheeler:

the memorialized memos will be damning

So, you believe that Comey committed two felonies- the first being he didn’t immediately report Trump obstructing justice as required under 38USC and the second perjuring himself during his 3 May testimony before Congress when he claimed there had never been any interference in any investigation? And are you also accusing McCabe of perjury when he told Congress essentially the same thing?

Can’t even give a commencement speech without talking about himself.

Agree. The BIG difference is that Obama’s speeches were the exact same way and yet you praised his speeches all time. It goes back to my statement about the man crush thing that got you so upset about.

@another vet: Don’t recall Obama ever making commencement speech at Military Academy about himself–IMO DT’s self serving ego is unsurpassed + he’s a terrible public speaker–only good at his rabble rousing fan rallies.
Comey/Trump shootout will be long and brutal–2 big egos.

@Richard Wheeler:

Don’t recall Obama ever making commencement speech at Military Academy about himself

His speech after the SEALS took out OBL was littered all over the place with references to himself (the number 47 sticks in my mind). I remember Mata’s excellent post comparing his speech to Bush’s after Saddam was caught. A stark contrast. While both complimented the military in the initial paragraph or two, Bush stayed on that theme the entire time. Obama deviated and began making numerous references to himself until near the end before getting back to praising the military.

@Richard Wheeler: t

he memorialized memos will be damning

Another angle no one is looking at is the memos exist but fall far short of proving obstruction of justice and that the Slimes spun the story up in an attempt to sensationalize. Remember, none of this was leaked by Comey and I don’t believe anyone reporting it has even seen the memos.

@Richard Wheeler: Obama is an awful speaker (worse off the TelePrompTer) whose flowery prose and pie-in-the-sky promises only appeals to the dim of wit. Trump speaks in layman terms to appeal to people, not speaking over their heads so the elitists can provide the “clarification”.

If you did not vote for Trump, you voted for Hillary and you would have been pleased as punch to have another Liar in Chief promising the world and blaming everyone else for failure.

@Bill- Deplorable Me: It’s true that Trump appeals to the less educated who prefer simple words spoken in simple terms. Won’t argue that.
Neither HRC OR DT can count my vote—simple enough for even die hardcore Trumpists to understand—about 1/3 of the electorate. A proportion of Trump’s vote was simply anti-HRC

@Richard Wheeler:

I believe James Comey intends to bring down Donald Trump on obstruction of justice

not sure exactly what the ‘claims’ are, but I’ve heard nothing that sounds like obstruction of justice.
I have heard that there is a law that requires someone to report attempted obstruction of justice to their superior immediately and have not heard of that happening. Do you suppose he might not have ‘recognized’ it as obstruction until he got fired? Comey seems to have been an incredibly inept Director. It seems very clear that he was/is guilty of obstruction of justice in not prosecuting Hillary last year. Her and her whole staff probably should be in jail right now. Especially Loretta Lynch/Bill Clinton. That seems to be the most flagrant instance of obstruction. Not sure why Comey didn’t bring charges against them.

@another vet, #63:

Is it possible that you remember incorrectly?

Here’s the written transcript of Obama’s May 1, 2011 speech announcing the death of Osama bin Laden, detailing the operation and the events leading up to it. The full video is also available online from a variety of sources.

I don’t see any self-aggrandizement in Obama’s words at all. None whatsoever. He’s simply telling America, as President and Commander in Chief, what happened.

@Richard Wheeler: As we have clearly seen, an Ivy League “education” you liberals worship so highly does not make them smart or smarter. Furthermore, the liberal contention that anyone other than a liberal is uneducated and stupid has also been clearly debunked.

Not only have liberals proved ignorant, but your beloved leadership KNOWS how dumb they are and take full advantage of the fact.

While it doesn’t take a real genius to see through the lies of Obama and Hillary, it takes a real moron and fool to continue supporting such corruption.

An anti-Hillary Trump vote is still the intelligent choice.

@Richard Wheeler:

+ he’s a terrible public speaker–only good at his rabble rousing fan rallies.

So those many thousands that turned out for his campaign rallies think he’s a terrible public speaker and Hillary is a great one. Is that why her crowds were measured in the hundreds while his was in the thousands? Oh, now I’ve figured it out. You measure public speaking ability by Obozo’s inability to even deliver a speech without a teleprompter and even then can barely even read it. That’s your standard, so yes I can understand your inability to recognize a good speaker.

Bill : Gotta admit Ivy Leaguer Trump helps make your case.

RT You are a poster boy of the Trumpist movement. Do you seriously think Trump is a good orator?

@Bill- Deplorable Me: I think a lot of Ivy leaguers are trying to get tuition refunds now, realizing they got screwed. But don’t put Obozo in that category, his only acquaintance with Ivy is as an affirmative action appointee at Harvard Law, which did him no good because he lied about his past and got his law license revoked. Yep, some of these ‘ivy leaguer’s are real prizes.
I’m not sure why anyone would have a problem with the C in C speaking at a military academy. Obozo did quite a few and I don’t recall anyone having a problem with it.

@Richard Wheeler: I didn’t say they were all as ignorant as Obama; I said the Ivy League pedigree guarantees intelligence.

@Bill- Deplorable Me Bush Sr. —Trump–last 5 all Ivy Leaguers.
“Obama ignorant and a poor speaker” Only a far right wacko–you know any?–would agree with that statement Bill.

@Richard Wheeler: “Do you seriously think Trump is a good orator?” Guess it depends on definition of ‘good orator’. If it is someone you want to hear, want to hear what he has to say and believes what he says. then yes. If you want to compare him to our last president, then instead of good, the word ‘outstanding’ would be more appropriate. Obozo might have been the singular worst speech maker we’ve ever had. Very few, using a teleprompter could still start a sentence with ‘if, if if if if if uh uh uh uh but but but if if if etcc.. Obozo could do that consistently.

@Richard Wheeler:

Bush Sr. —Trump–last 5 all Ivy Leaguers.

not unless Occidental has become Ivy league. As I said, Harvard law doesn’t make the case for obozo. he only got in there on a multi million contribution by the King of Saudi Arabia and even then it was an affirmative action deal. No degree was required for his entrance. Only money.

@Richard Wheeler:

“Obama ignorant and a poor speaker”

I wouldn’t put him in the ignorant category, but then I also wouldn’t put him in the poor speaker category either. He was not nearly that good. Lousy, terrible is more what comes to mind.

@Bill- Deplorable Me: #73 since the 70s the average IQ of a college grad has dropped by 10 points. Is this a product of diversity or them just after the money not someone able to grasp the “education”.

@Redteam: Like I said you’re the poster boy.
Did you see where Trump’s ghostwriter of Art of the Deal says Trump’s “in a meltdown, will resign and claim victory.”
Says with Trump there is no right and wrong only winners and losers. Says Trump lies constantly and sees no problem with it.

Scathing— Guy’s name is Tony Schwartz.

@Richard Wheeler: Hope and Change. Hope and Change. Hope and Change. Only a deluded fool would have believed any of that. Socialism was what it meant.

@Richard Wheeler:

Says with Trump there is no right and wrong only winners and losers. Says Trump lies constantly and sees no problem with it.

Soooo, you’re saying that he’s saying that Trump is becoming a real politician? Hmmm, seems he needs to get on a real downhill slope if he hopes to get down there.

@Redteam: I’ll go slow.
BHO never had his law license revoked.
Nobody is questioning Trump’s right to speak at an Academy’s Commencement. Ceremony.. We’re questioning why he wastes so much time talking about himself rather than congratulating and inspiring the graduates.

@Richard Wheeler:

I’ll go slow.
BHO never had his law license revoked.

I’ll go even slower. O b v i o u s l y y o u a r e m i s i n f o r m e d.

@Redteam: Never happened.
Another of your “alternative facts” perhaps?

Trump/Russia is now a criminal investigation.
Pence is reportedly building a war chest to run in 2020 or takeover sooner—seems tired of backing Trump’s follies.

@Richard Wheeler: Well, if it’s “reportedly” (provided there are some unnamed sources) then it must be true. Right?

If you believe it hard enough, can you impeach on a yearn? You people are absolutely pitiful.

@Bill- Deplorable Me: You’re the loud name caller like Trump—That arrogance is what will bring him down. People simply don’t like his act. He has HRC to thank for being POTUS
Payback will be a bitch for this bully.

@Richard Wheeler: I simply cannot stand the hypocrisy of the left that celebrate destructive liars as long as they are liberal yet tell themselves (YOURself) Trump said or did something then pretend to have principles that are offended.

They aren’t. There are no liberal principles. No such thing.

Trump is far and away better than Hillary yet you would be totally happy to have Hillary as President right now and you would not be objecting to her criminal mishandling of classified information, selling government influence or getting Americans killed.

@Richard Wheeler: .

President Barack Obama, former editor of the Harvard Law Review, is no longer a “lawyer”. He surrendered his license back in 2008 in order to escape charges he lied on his bar application. A “Voluntary Surrender” is not something where you decide “Gee, a license is not really something I need anymore, is it?” and forget to renew your license. No, a “Voluntary Surrender” is something you do when you’ve been accused of something, and you ‘voluntarily surrender” your license five seconds before the state suspends you.

https://www.thoughtco.com/what-happened-to-obamas-law-license-3298910

Lied on his bar application. hmmm, wonder what he might have lied about. He was claiming back at that time he was born in Kenya. He also was claiming his current name is Obama when it was Soetoro, he was also claiming something about his citizenship, such as he was a citizen of Indonesia, perhaps. I don’t know what the lie was. But he surrendered his law license rather than have it revealed so you can make your own guesses. And don’t quote fact check or Snopes. they are liberal groups that swallow the whole liberal bait, hook line and sinker.

@Richard Wheeler:

Trump/Russia is now a criminal investigation.

RW, could you quote which law it is they are attempting to accuse Trump of violating? Is there a law that says an American can’t talk to a Russian about elections? Is there a law that says they can? Is there a law that mentions American elections and Russians in the same law? I think the liberals are trying to make up a law but I have not seen nor heard exactly which law it is that they are talking about. I’m sure you have a lib source that must know. Please inform us.

@Bill- Deplorable Me: It s a little baffling that you continue to tell me what I personally would do under made up scenarios–worry about yourself.

@Redteam: Why do you feel the need to continually lie about BHO’S law license was it revoked or not?

After Rosenstein briefing Sen Graham said it was becoming a criminal investigation—got questions ask him.

@Richard Wheeler:

Why do you feel the need to continually lie about BHO’S law license was it revoked or not?

see 88 above

@Redteam: I read it. Does it say it was revoked–do you even know when you’re lying–getting more and more like your idol perhaps?

One thing is certain–DT is distancing himself from Flynn, Manafort and those who did business with Russia,

@Richard Wheeler:

Don’t recall Obama ever making commencement speech at Military Academy about himself–

any military academy? would you like to read copy of all the speeches? You might be enlightened. Here’s one for you:https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/full-text-of-president-obamas-commencement-address-at-west-point/2014/05/28/cfbcdcaa-e670-11e3-afc6-a1dd9407abcf_story.html?utm_term=.cf4c4e845954

@Redteam: I doubt it. But you seem to have nothing but time,
Do you even get out of the house?

@Richard Wheeler: It says that they questioned some lies on his application and he surrendered his license rather than to tell the truth. Revoked? Let’s say he don’t got one no mo and it ain’t his idea.

Do you even get out of the house?

Hmmm, so you don’t notice ‘patterns’. Seems as if I read and comment on FA for about an hour or so a day. that’s why so many come at one time. Unlike your which seems to be around the clock. But that’s okay. I don’t mind. I enjoy reading your comments. But thanks for your concern about how often I get out.
Just had my annual Cardiac check up and he made me a new appointed for one year. Said he was giving me a one year guarantee. So you’re not getting rid of me anytime soon.

@Richard Wheeler::

I doubt it

So, you don’t have time to read Obozo’s speeches to critique them but you do have time to read Trumps. Hmmm. so you were expecting a load of crap in Obozo’s but didn’t know what to expect in Trumps. Interesting.

@Redteam: t’m not reading anyone’s speeches–well maybe Lincolns’ Saw part of DT’S on TV

Think you said you were a fan of ‘The Apprentice.” I watched part of one episode–that was enough.
Many are comparing the current Presidency to the show—Trump loves the turmoil and drama?? What say you?

@Richard Wheeler:

Saw part of DT’S on TV

So you’re critiquing a speech you only watched clips of on tv? Then how do you know how much of the speech was devoted to Trump?

Think you said you were a fan of ‘The Apprentice.” I watched part of one episode–that was enough.

No, I didn’t say that. I watched the show a few times back in the early years, but haven’t seen one in years. Nope, not a fan.

Many are comparing the current Presidency to the show—Trump loves the turmoil and drama?? What say you?

No, I can’t compare them. I think trump gets a little too involved in some little details at times, but that seems to be his style. I don’t think he has too many on his staff that he has a lot of confidence in. I think he should require anyone entering the white house to take a lie detector test. I think he uses tweets to get around the openly biased press. I think that’s here to stay until the country gets a few more honest news persons. Very few honest news people in existence. I think Trump makes a lot of career politicians look like what they are. I’ll let you fill in the blanks on that one.

If Trump ‘colluded’ with Russia. Exactly which law covers that? I have not heard anyone quote the law. What specifically does the law prohibit? Is there really a law that say: An American can not discuss an election with a Russian. Lot’s of people talk all around it but I have not heard the law quoted. Anyone?
