In an misguided effort to grab attention to themselves, Michael Moore and Bill Maher hopped the security fence at LaGuardia airport to take selfies along side Donald Trump’s private jet.
The gag was about finding Trump’s taxes.

The problem is, this is a crime. Specifically, Third Degree Trespass.
A person is guilty of Criminal Trespass in the Third Degree, pursuant to New York Penal Code140.10 when he “knowingly enter or remains in a building or upon real property” and when there are certain additional factors that are met. According to New York law, “A person enters or remains unlawfully in or upon premises when that person has no license or privilege to enter or remain in or upon such premises. To have no license or privilege to enter or remain in or upon such premises. To have no license or privilege to enter or remain means to have no right, permission or authority to do so.”
Other doing the same thing have suffered consequences:

Fearful since 9-11, law enforcement officials claim to have a zero tolerance policy:

They just did Trump an enormous favor by pointing out that there’s a Michael Moore-size hole in his security fence. Presidential candidates are supposed to be better protected than this.
