Obama’s favorite JV team has struck again.

Cowering under desks and running for their lives, this is the terrifying moment passengers were caught up in a suicide bomb attack at Brussels Airport this morning in a series of blasts that have killed at least 34 people across the city.

Witnesses described apocalyptic scenes with blood and ‘dismembered bodies everywhere’ after two blasts rocked the terminal at 8am (7am GMT) in a suspected suicide bombing, killing at least 14 people and injuring 35 others.

Then 79 minutes later at 9.19am, at least 20 people were killed and 55 injured, some critically, when a blast hit a Metro station just 400 metres from the EU headquarters in the city centre.

At the airport, there were reports of a firefight between police and the attackers who shouted in Arabic moments before detonating their bombs. A Kalashnikov was later recovered from the scene.

The blasts, which detonated near the American Airlines and Brussels airlines check-in desks, sent shockwaves through the terminal building, shattering windows and knocking roof tiles off the ceiling as terrified passengers ran for their lives.

The explosions have left countries worldwide reeling, with security placed on high alert, flights cancelled, Eurostar services suspended and France’s border with Belgium shut down.

Two suspects were arrested a mile from the Maelbeek metro station at around 11am as hundreds of troops and police flooded the streets of Brussels in the hunt for members of the terror cell.

Soldiers have been also been deployed at the airport and other key locations across Brussels as Belgium raised security to its maximum level.

The bombings come just a day after the Belgium Interior Minister warned of possible revenge attacks after the arrest of Paris massacre suspect Salah Abdeslam in the city on Friday.

The first thing we can expect to hear from obama is that we should not jump to conclusions about responsibility for the attacks, which thus far have left 34 dead in two places. Despite…

Shots were fired and Arabic shouted before the two airport bombings – one at least contained nails, according to Belgian media

The 9-11 attacks were thought to be attacks on all, but obama seems to think he is separate from these attacks. We’re safe from ISIS-style attacks, he said in December:

“ISIL is not going to pose an existential threat to us,” he said, insisting that although they were a “dangerous organization,” the country had strengthened national security under his administration.

“[W]e have hardened our defenses, our homeland has never been more protected by more effective intelligence and law enforcement professionals at every level than they are now,” he said, prior to the attack in San Bernardino later that day.

Just before the San Bernardino attack.

Paris. San Bernardino. Brussels. Who is really safe?

Although they cannot be properly vetted, Obama’s plan is for hundreds of thousands more refugees.

Obama spent 51 seconds addressing the attacks, saying the US would do “whatever is necessary” to assist Belgian authorities.

One can only imagine what that would be: calling the incidents “isolated” or “workplace violence”? Less than a year ago, obama had no strategy. Then he suggested later that he had one- one that would take three years to complete; as in, after he left office.

Exit question: Are these still “climate refugees”?

@Greg:

What do you not understand about the fact that President Obama has been conducting a continuous and widening air war against ISIS for well over a year,

The part where 75% of the sorties return without hitting any targets because of the Obama-imposed rules of engagement.

@Bill, #51:

We try not to kill non-combatants. For some odd reason, a policy that kills a lot of non-combatants tends to breed a lot more hostility toward the West. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that we’re not at war with a nation state, where you can carpet bomb the civilian population to break their morale and their will to continue.

Maybe the GOP’s severely history-challenged cowboys should look up the term before bantering it about as if they understand what it means as a military strategy in the context of wars between nations. Of course, that would require a level of reading comprehension that they may lack.

@Bill: He is not going to understand the death cult forbids them from making friends, only the most evil despots kept them in control. Bush uncorked one evil Jin Iran, Obama had to out do him Egypt, Libya and if it were not for Putin, Syria.
They use the women and kiddies as human shields, collateral damage, war sucks.
Oh by the way Greg do you seriously think there would be a smidgen of love lost for the Great Satan. If so sober up.

@Greg: Greggie, comprehend the fact that Obola told America that Al Qaeda was on their heels, Iraq is stable, and ISIS is contained. My comprehension tells me that Obola lied just like he did about his healthcare plan!! You can’t even understand that so anything you try and say is pure BS moron!!

@Greg: Obama has killed many women and children with his drone program; since he personally chooses the targets that doesn’t seem to bother him all that much.

No, more likely as with every other action he doesn’t take, he is more concerned with his own personal image. He can fly planes around without dropping bombs and claim he is attacking. He know the media will stay on his side, just as they won’t cover spending time at the old ball game in Cuba or happily doing the tango in Argentina instead of dealing with terrorist killers of US citizens… his supposed “top priority” (even above climate change?).

@Common Sense, #54:

I comprehend the fact that America would be better served if the slogan on Trump’s hats read “Make America Smart Again.” Unfortunately, any trend in that direction would not further his cause.

@Bill, #55:

Obama has killed many women and children with his drone program; since he personally chooses the targets that doesn’t seem to bother him all that much.

It bothers him to the extent that our rules of engagement cause us to refrain from releasing ordnance around 75 percent of the time. That seems to indicate we’re calling our shots very carefully. We take them when neutralizing a target is of great enough importance to override the costs of the collateral damage.

This is the best you can do when an enemy is embedded in a civilian setting. What alternate approaches have Trump or Cruz suggested? They don’t get specific. They just blow hot air while actually saying nothing. If they got specific, they would either have to acknowledge that Obama’s approach is best, given the circumstances, or say something patently stupid, such as claiming that they’d “carpet bomb ISIS.” What that would come down to is the “Kill ’em all and let God sort ’em out” approach.

@Greg: So you admit abject stupidity has led to the Obama administration. That’s a start.

It bothers him to the extent that our rules of engagement cause us to refrain from releasing ordnance around 75 percent of the time

No, that bothers him only when is name is on the delivery platform. As long as the CIA is doing it, his legacy can deny responsibility.

As usual, what has been said and what people on the right immediately claim has been said are two entirely different things. The right has gotten into the habit of trying to alter reality on the roll. This is how the GOP has rolled straight into fantasy land.

@Greg: Greggie it wasn’t the right that said Iraq is stable, Al Qaeda is on their heels, ISIS is a JV TEAM, and ISIS is contained!! It was president obola!! You won’t even admit it Greggie but you know it’s true!!

@Greg: Anything or anyone is better than the criminal hilldabeast!!

Thanks for keeping us safe in the US, Obama.

@Reem: @Reem: Safe?? Really moron, tell that to the families in San Bernadino!!
