A former fetus, the “wordsmith from nantucket” was born in Phoenix, Arizona in 1968. Adopted at birth, wordsmith grew up a military brat. He achieved his B.A. in English from the University of California, Los Angeles (graduating in the top 97% of his class), where he also competed rings for the UCLA mens gymnastics team. The events of 9/11 woke him from his political slumber and malaise. Currently a personal trainer and gymnastics coach.
The wordsmith has never been to Nantucket.

What ever image editing software being used to shrink / edit the cartoons is rendering most of them unreadable, even if zoomed to a larger size in a browser.

Agreed. I couldn’t read any of the “Prickly City” strips at all.
Several of us have commented on this, the moderator is aware of the problem. That was months ago.
Face it, it’s not going to get any better.
Just don’t ask me why, it makes no sense to keep them this small, when a long time ago they were large enough to be easily read.
It can be corrected, but it hasn’t been.

@Steve and @Petercat: My apologies.
I didn’t do a good job of following up the last time. I thought maybe it was because I had been downloading the images from my phone; but that doesn’t seem to be the issue.
It used to be that before the issue arose, I had to convert image sizes if the file size was too large for the FA server. At some point, it was no longer an issue and I could upload photos without them being rejected (so I assume Curt increased the size allowance). I’m wondering if this is where the relationship is? I did email Curt the other day but have not heard back from him regarding the issue.
Sorry. I’m just not around much these days.
@Wordsmith:
Thanks for the reply.
Much appreciated. The free Irfanview http://www.irfanview.com
is an excellent editor for resizing images while retaining the quality.

Thanks for the explanation. I hope you can improve the display.
Hey Guys,
I’ve emailed Curt three times now, to no response. That’s not like him.
Sorry. About to post Sunday Funnies, soon.
@wordsmith: Sorry, been out of the country. I’ll look into this.
@Curt: Worked out the problem and emailed you. The latest Sunday Funnies is fixed.
