Back in 2011, Joe Biden let America know that the Taliban wasn’t our enemy:

Look, the Taliban per se is not our enemy. That’s critical. There is not a single statement that the president has ever made in any of our policy assertions that the Taliban is our enemy because it threatens U.S. interests. If, in fact, the Taliban is able to collapse the existing government, which is cooperating with us in keeping the bad guys from being able to do damage to us, then that becomes a problem for us.

Around the same time Hamid Karzai claimed that Barack Obama said the same thing to him:

Last year, during my visit to Washington, in a very important briefing a day before I met U.S. President [Barack Obama], his national security adviser Tom Donilon, and senior White House officials, generals, and intelligence officials, the national security adviser met with me. He told me: “The Taliban are not our enemies and we don’t want to fight them.”

Our “not-enemies” attacked a school in Peshawar, Pakistan. They killed at least 130 people and committed some heinous acts:

Taliban terrorists allegedly burned a teacher alive and made the students watch during their attack on a Pakistan school which left over 130 people dead.

According to a NBC News report, citing an unnamed military official, the terrorists stormed the Army Public school in Peshawar, in north-west Pakistan, and committed the horrific act as well as detonating a suicide bomb which killed a number of students.

“They burnt a teacher in front of the students in a classroom,” the unnamed military source told the US TV network.

“They literally set the teacher on fire with gasoline and made the kids watch.”

At least six militants entered the Pakistani school wearing security uniforms, before massacring an estimated 132 people and injuring another 122.

Several have been reported to be beheaded.

Despite the Taliban taking credit for the attack, Barack Obama cannot bring himself to mentioning their involvement:

The United States condemns in the strongest possible terms today’s horrific attack on the Army Public School in Peshawar, Pakistan. Our hearts and prayers go out to the victims, their families, and loved ones. By targeting students and teachers in this heinous attack, terrorists have once again shown their depravity. We stand with the people of Pakistan, and reiterate the commitment of the United States to support the Government of Pakistan in its efforts to combat terrorism and extremism and to promote peace and stability in the region.

This regime insists that the Taliban is not the enemy despite evidence to the contrary. Returning vets are the enemy and Americans who disagree with Obama are “enemies” but the Taliban is not? Whisky Tango Foxtrot? It probably doesn’t make much difference, really. Obama doesn’t want any captured prisoners so he doesn’t have to interrogate them. That’s so messy. He just kills them along with their families in drone strikes. Then again, were we to capture any, we’d have to speak politely to them and treat them no worse that we’d treat an Ivy League grad student or risk the ire of Dianne Feinstein and the left.

And according to Sec. Clinton, who will soon be running for President, we need to empathize and show respect for the Taliban:

This is what we call smart power — using every possible tool and partner to advance peace and security, leaving no one on the sidelines, showing respect, even for one’s enemies, trying to understand and insofar as psychologically possible, empathize with their perspective and point of view, helping to define the problems, determine the solutions,” she continued. “That is what we believe in the 21st century will change — change the prospects for peace.”

Maybe she’ll press the Reset Button on relations with the Taliban.

@kevino: Clinton (or Obama either, for that matter) knows nothing about being smart or power.

However, what Pakistan needs is some gun control. That’ll solve it.

No, to Obama, the Taliban is NOT our enemy.
It is our heroin supplier.

Until a few years ago, people here used to grow a variety of crops – including wheat, maize, nuts, apricot and grapes.

But Taliban control led to a swift spread of poppy cultivation; being a drought-resistant crop, the poppy requires little water to flourish, it is tough and can withstand wide temperature variations and, above all, the crop has Taliban protection. The Helmand province is now the top opium-producing region in Afghanistan.

Who is a main target of all this heroin?
Americans.
Since Obama took office heroin addiction has doubled to almost 700,000 addicts.
Opiates are also popular.
Muslim immigrants are new as dispensers of this and other drugs.
We are seeing it in places like Indianapolis, Madison, and Milwaukee— places where traditionally we really didn’t see uptick in heroin……places where Muslims have population centers.
To see how they buy police and can keep the lid on even the horrific (oh! Just like today’s set a person on fire!) murders check out the research into Ali Alsanai, aka Basem Alsanai, aka Ali Fadhel, the 19-year-old owner/operator of the gas station/convenience store/drug emporium who was the last person to see Jessica Lane Chambers before she was found on fire in Mississippi. MORE.

No.
Obama doesn’t consider Islamics to be our (his) enemy.
He is using them to destroy this country from both the inside and the outside.
If Pakistan taught America’s Muslims anything it should teach them this: according to Islamists YOU are apostates worthy of death just like those poor children.

There are those (liberals) who live in D.C. making laws that apply only to us that do not believe in the concept of evil. Time after time we have been told that Islam is a religion of peace, yet time after time, we see Muslims commit evil and heinous acts of violence. We watch as Palestinians put AK 47s in the hands of 10 years olds and teach them to chant “Death to Israel. Death to America.”

Of course Obama is not going to call this evil by its name and he is never going to speak forcefully about the persecution of Christians in the Middle East. He is too busy entertaining CAIR at the White House.

When they were killing those children, did they mention Christmas? Or the Pledge of Allegiance? That’ll get em on Obama’s naughty list.

@kevino: Or she will say “what does it matter anyway”!! America can NOT afford another Clinton!!

The leadership of Pakistan came out yesterday with a truth Obama should listen to:
There is no such thing as a ”good” Taliban VS a ”bad” Taliban.
All Taliban is bad and needs to be wiped out.
Good for Pakistan.
Now, I know Obama is a slow learner, but when will Obama get it?
