White House Proposes Curbs on Campaigning by Tax-Exempt Groups

The Obama administration proposed a crackdown on the widespread use of tax-exempt organizations for political campaigning, seeking to reduce the influential role that the secretive groups have played in recent elections.

The new “guidance” issued by the Treasury Department and the Internal Revenue Service would curtail a broad array of these tax-exempt entities’ activities, including campaign advertising, voter registration, get-out-the-vote efforts, and distribution of voter guides and campaign materials. The process of completing the new regulations could take months, and officials said they expected a lot of feedback, acknowledging the political battles ahead.

Obama plans on using the Treasury and the IRS to continue suppressing the rights of conservatives, as he did during the 2012 campaign season. The one problem? Citizens United.

And we all remember Obama’s use of SOTU to castigate SCOTUS for the Citizens ruling.

And in what cannot possibly be a coincidence, Sen. Mark Begich called the other day for an overturning of Citizens.

It was fine for Obama to suspend the AVS system for donations to HIS campaign in order to hide corruption:

A new report obtained by Townhall from the non-partisan Government Accountability Institute [GAI] shows the Obama campaign has potentially violated federal election law by failing to prevent the use of fraudulent or foreign credit card transactions on the official Obama for America [OFA] donation webpage.
. . . .

“As FBI surveillance tapes have previously shown, foreign governments understand and are eager to exploit the weaknesses of American campaigns,” the report says. “This, combined with the Internet’s ability to disintermediate campaign contributions on a mass scale, as well as outmoded and lax Federal Election Commission rules, make U.S. elections vulnerable to foreign influence.”

The problem is the campaign’s lack of a CVV requirement — that three or four digit security code on your credit card that merchants always ask for . . . when they care whether your purchase is fraudulent:

OFA seems to be taking advantage of a “foreign donor loophole” by not using CVV on their campaign donation page. When you donate online to the Obama campaign using a credit card, the contribution webpage does not require donors to enter a secure CVV number (also known as CSC, CVV2 or CVN), the three-digit securing code on the back of credit cards. This code, although not 100 percent effective, is used to ensure a person making a purchase physically possesses the card. According to the report, 90 percent of e-commerce and 19 of the 20 largest charities in the United States use a CVV code, making its use standard industry practice in order to prevent fraud. Another anti-fraud security measure includes software, better known as an Address Verification System, to verify a donor’s address matches the address on file with the credit card company. The investigation could not determine whether OFA is using this type of software to prevent fraudulent or illegal donations.

But Obama feels free to impair the Constitutional rights of others.

Now put it together.

The IRS and the Treasury are going to be given your private information.

The Democrats’ sappy pleas that they understand they have to win back consumers by “fixing” what’s wrong with Obamacare are bogus. Consumers don’t have a choice. Americans won’t be using the Obamacare exchanges because they find the Obamacare branding and marketing pitches informative and appealing, they will use the exchanges because if they don’t, Obama’s IRS will fine them. The gentle appeals that we will be hearing as a result of all the “rebranding” and “remarketing” are just cynical, doe-eyed scams. The truth is, if you don’t sign up for Obamacare, the IRS is coming after you. Now that’s effective marketing. And the White House knows it.

Because in the Obamacare code it is specifically written that you have “no reasonable expectation of privacy.”

That means all democrats will have it.

So let’s stop fooling ourselves and realize what Obamacare really is- it is a vehicle to create a totalitarian government that knows everything about you and will put an end to all opposition to progressives.

Be prepared for Obama to promise that this is not the case, but remember this when he does:

“No matter how we reform health care, I intend to keep this promise: If you like your doctor, you’ll be able to keep your doctor; if you like your health care plan, you’ll be able to keep your health care plan.”

Absolutely nothing he says can be trusted. Nothing- including protecting your right to say anything. I told you this was coming. He is telling us to our faces that he is going to do in 2014 and 2016 what he did for the 2012 election- shut down the opposition.

Impeach.

The Daily Caller tells us that

More than half a year after the IRS targeting scandal broke in May, federal investigators have still not contacted any of the 41 conservative groups represented in the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) lawsuit against the IRS.

Though the FBI and IRS both launched investigations into the wrongdoing, and Eric Holder’s Justice Department vowed to cooperate with the FBI probe, none of these agencies has contacted the ACLJ’s clients to figure out what happened.

That’s because selective persecution of conservatives is now official state policy.
