The media has begun to compare/contrast.
When GHWBush was president a rodeo used his mask on a rodeo dummy that was the target of attacks in the arena.
When Bill Clinton was president, same thing.
No bad press.
A Rep. Pres.
A Dem. Pres.
No problem.
Obama?
It is just because he is a black person.
Not his office, not his party…..just his color.
Islamist apologists and race baiters are terrific at feigning offense.

Just with his looks alone, the Rezident invites ridicule- but then you look at his policies, and if they hadn’t been rammed down our collective thriats, they would have been fodder for genuine and full-bore ridicule, just because they are so, well, ridiculous.
It reminds me of a “Saturday Night Live” parody of an ad, where three blades on a razor is not enough, so they put like, ten on a blade cartridge- sounds like life imitating art, huh?

A rodeo clown who wore an Obama mask during a show at the Missouri State Fair found himself banned forever.

The event organizers very likely concluded the guy had offended a significant portion of an audience that had paid to be entertained at a rodeo, not to be offended.

Really? You have to resort to paranoid lunatic Beckian bullcrap like this? Pretty lame.

so when george bush masks were worn in the past no one was offended? thus no reason to ban a man for life, but obama the most thin skinned president ever along with his professionally offended minions start caterwalling and wailing its time to bring out the ban hammer?

leftists are by deliberate policy using being offended as a weapon to denounce and destroy political cultural enemies.

@rumcrook™, #6:

…obama the most thin skinned president ever along with his professionally offended minions…

Obama didn’t ban anybody. Neither did his supporters. The event organizers did. Take any complaints up with them.

I don’t recall ever hearing Obama complaining about being ridiculed by anyone. I don’t recall ever hearing GWB complaining about it, either.

they show that they want so much to deny that OBAMA IS BLACK,
BUT H IS BLACK, WHY THE DOUBLE STANDARD,
IT WAS DONE FOR OTHER PRESIDENT,
QUIT PROTECTING OBAMA, HE IS WHAT THE MAJORITY THINK OF HIM,
EVEN THOSE WHO VOTE FOR HIM BECAUSE THEY WANT TO GET THEIR CHECK
EVERY MONTH,

Next time I hear a “person of color” scream “racism” they better be being chased by a doofus in a sheet with a burning cross before I give them any credibility. I’m just tired of all this crap.

“All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others,” George Orwell, Animal Farm.

The Left seems to want to suspend the First Amendment, when people have the audacity to criticize President Obama.

However, they have finally concentrated their efforts on the rodeo clowns of America, and with good reason. Do you people realize, rodeo clowns promised us skyrocketing energy prices and had the audacity to tell us that keeping our tires inflated properly would offset the negative effects of high gas prices. I know cowboy humor is a little coarse around the edges, but this type of humor is in poor taste and offends me.

Rodeo clowns have been known to sell military grade weapons to the drug cartels in Mexico, this is beyond the realm of humor, these guys should be doing prison time for this little caper. They are also suspected of letting 400 surface to air missiles get into the hands of terrorists in Benghazi while they had a big party in Vegas, the concept of losing commercial airliners and F-18s doesn’t seem to bother these rodeo clowns. They just say, “What does it matter?” and shrug off the blame.

Rodeo clowns brag about kicking Osama’s ass and putting al Qaeda on the run, but al Qaeda seems to have these rodeo clowns on the run.

Personally, I am tired of these rodeo clowns, I think they should all go to rehab, until they are judged to be politically correct.

Obama is thin-skinned.
He must HATE these:

You get the idea.
Obama must wonder why his weakness and ”leading with his behind,” his acceptance of Islam’s spread have not all led to his being beloved over there.

@Skook:
You might quote George Orwell but it is Jonathan Swift we are getting a lesson in with your words.
Good one, Skook!

Yes, and this idea of making fun of an old horse term for mustangs,Broom Tail” is clearly out of the realm of humor; especially, for people who are overly sensitive.

If you don’t like rodeo, stay home!

@Skook:

LOL Skook

this is nothing wait till we read the book of his legacy
with images all over the pages, after he’s gone,

For those of you who might want to glimpse into the rodeo mindset, here is a blast from the past.

This might explain how a gag with a “fake” dummy came to life, when it was suggested a bull would run it down. It’s humor for crying out loud. People expected a dummy to be run over by a bull; of course people laugh and cheer, it is part of the rodeo spirit, a part of the show, bur when you have overly sensitive people who know their overly hyped president is failing miserably, they become ridiculous.

@ DrJohn,

Your continued obsession with highlighting Obama’s race at every opportunity seems to have clouded your judgment again. If you were actually trying to prove your charge of hypocrisy, wouldn’t you be criticizing inflammatory rhetoric aimed at Obama, rather than ignoring or minimizing it, the very things you’re accusing Democrats of having done in the past? I suspect, in terms of Obama, you’re no different than the people you’re criticizing, with a big old hole where logic would reside.

On top of that, your entire post is riddled with inaccuracies. For example:

And the difference is painfully obvious. HW and Bubba are white. That makes insulting and calling for violence against them acceptable. Only when the black President is used in a similar fashion does umbrage erupt.

Of course that’s completely ridiculous and untrue. Plenty of people spoke out at the time, and continue to speak out, against calls for violence against the Presidents Bush. That’s the reason you know about them in the first place, because someone got angry and posted somewhere about it. You’re speaking out against it right now. The very act of your complaining about it disproves your entire premise that its ignored.

.

You can’t help but wonder how the left would react to a movie depicting an assassination of Obama. The left loved the Bush assassination movie.

Again, another serving of horse manure from it’s number one cultivator:

http://web.archive.org/web/20061023003633/http://www.lohud.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060916/UPDATE/609160394

CHAPPAQUA — Sen. Hillary Clinton this morning blasted the producers of a new film depicting the assassination of Pres. George W. Bush.

I think it’s despicable,” Clinton said of “Death of a President,” a fictional film that features a staged assassination of the president in 2007. “I think it’s absolutely outrageous. That anyone would even attempt to profit on such a horrible scenario makes me sick.”

;

The fact of the matter is that all Presidents receive thousands of threats and many turn out to be credible. Publicly inciting animosity toward a sitting President falls into another, harder to pinpoint, category. You yourself have willfully, and in many cases dishonestly, been inciting hatred against Barack Obama for the past five years. What responsibility would you bear for any unintended consequences of your actions? Are people on the Right hypocrites as well when they fail to criticize you when you go off the deep end, no different than those on the Left who didn’t criticize the filmmakers?

@Tom: I gotta give Dr.J some credit for getting up bruised and bloodied after your continual smack downs. He must look terrible.

How could anyone be offended by a white man in blackface acting like a fool? I mean no one would object to a guy dressed as Hymie the JewBoy with exagerated features, getting smoked by a bull, would they?

this is nothing compare to what OBAMA DID TO PRESIDENT BUSH,
AND HE CANNOT TAKE THIS SMALL ONE, HOW DOES IT FEEL WHEN YOUR TURN COME
TO MAKE YOU LOOK RIDICULOUS,
YOU CAN’T TAKE IT, BUT YOU GAVE IT TO ANOTHER PRESIDENT,
HE HAD THE BALLS TO TAKE IT, AND WAIT TILL YOUR TURN COME,

@Richard Wheeler:

I don’t know why I bother. It’s not like I’m proving anything that isn’t blatantly obvious. 🙂

@DrJohn: Actually, when you get a chance, I would like to see those examples. Then if you like, we can debate their validity. Thanks

@DrJohn, #27:

GWB never said a victim of black on white crime either could have been his son or daughter either. The left has criminalized any and all criticism of Obama.

If that’s so, why do I hear so much direct and implied criticism of Obama on FOX News—a mainstream news outlet that ranks near the top in total viewers? Why is that all I hear on conservative radio, which totally dominates the political talk radio market?

That one of the most frequently repeated messages from all of these sources has been that liberals totally dominate mainstream media is almost comical. It’s right up there with the message that Obama and his supporters are rude and disrespectful—which in the bat-infested cave of the right-wing online echo chamber is generally fit in between trumped up accusations and outright insults.

There’s no racism on the right? That’s also comical. A far more accurate statement would be that there are many people on the right who are not racists. That would be entirely true.

@DrJohn:

So you found the one example, did you? LOL

Impressive comeback.

I posted one example. That’s all it took to prove you wrong. again. “LOL”.

@DrJohn:

Rodeo clowns – another extremist group!

It really does seem silly, considering racism no longer exists now that the free market has eradicated it. It’s the feelings of all these race-obsessed angry white men like you that need to be considered in these times. Perhaps you should provide a forum to let other victims of the Left’s reaction to that non-racist rodeo clown vent their feelings about how Obama’s blackness has caused them injury again. You could title it something edgy and eye-catching, like “The 11th Commandment: Thou Shalt Not Ridicule a Black President”. You could put a funny, tasteful picture of an Obama rubber mask up there to generate some knowing yucks. You will be a god to the lowest common denominator, which I’m sure you would enjoy.

@DrJohn:

The race card has expired.

What do you call that thing you like to flash in all circumstances?

I sure hope President Obama calls you to apologize for how other peoples’ reactions to what that rodeo clown did have impacted you.

@DrJohn: If the “race card has expired” why are you still playing it like a rodeo clown?

@Richard Wheeler:

Haha. Well played, Rich.

Cartoons and books displaying Mohammad unfavorably = Blasphemy and anti-Muslim hate speech.

Rodeo clowns and anyone displaying Obama unfavorably = Racism and hate speech.

Disagreeing with far-left policies = Racist and Hater

Any left-wing denigration of Christians, Republicans or Conservatives no matter how despicable = Perfectly acceptable free speech.*

* However a smattering of Democratic spokespersons will speak out against it in a ‘that’s not nice’ news bite, to negate the outrage of those offended.

@DrJohn:

It was not a race issue when Bush and Clinton were used as rodeo targets. It’s only race when Obama is used in such a fashion. And yet you guys sit there and deny it?

I didn’t realize Obama was personally using the asinine cavorting of a half-wit in “such a fashion”. Do you think he used the Situation Room to hold forth on Clowngate?

It’s lucky for our rodeo clown friend that there are people like you whose first instinct is to feel anger (perhaps kinship?) on his behalf. How dare this President have the audacity be black, therefore opening up distasteful, foolish displays such as this to accusations of racism! Let’s rally around this clown, even if his stunt is uncomfortably reminiscent of blackface! After all, if Obama had been white, none of this would have happened!

@DrJohn:

Just to summarize your position, you think it’s outrageous for people to express their opinions regarding the rodeo clown’s actions (i.e. that they’re idiotic and/or racist) because you’re personally dissatisfied with the reactions to similar (but not really) incidents that happened when George W Bush was President.

Okay, folks, we’re suspending racism for the eight years that Obama is in office because GWB didn’t have an equal opportunity to be a victim of it, and that’s not fair!

@DrJohn:

They don’t have spines either. If you can’t back up specific criticisms of your (admittedly diffuse) post, you might be better off with a new hobby. One friendly hint I can share, if you decide to continue: trolling the internet, cherry-picking random scraps from the ether, isn’t logically proving your premise. It’s just blatant selection bias.
