Gee, they all spent EXACTLY the same amount according to the expenditure report? Sounds like they ran up a big bill and simply divided by the total number of people on the trip.

House Speaker’s Military Travel Cost the United States Air Force $2,100,744.59 over a Two-Year Period, Including $101,429 for In-Flight Expenses.

Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, announced today that it has obtained documents from the Air Force detailing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s use of United States Air Force aircraft for Congressional Delegations (CODELs). According to the documents, obtained by Judicial Watch through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), the Speaker’s military travel cost the United States Air Force $2,100,744.59 over a two-year period — $101,429.14 of which was for in-flight expenses, including food and alcohol. The following are highlights from the recent release of about 2,000 documents:
•Speaker Pelosi used Air Force aircraft to travel back to her district at an average cost of $28,210.51 per flight. The average cost of an international CODEL is $228,563.33. Of the 103 Pelosi-led congressional delegations (CODEL), 31 trips included members of the House Speaker’s family.
•One CODEL traveling from Washington, DC, through Tel Aviv, Israel to Baghdad, Iraq May 15-20, 2008, “to discuss matters of mutual concern with government leaders” included members of Congress and their spouses and cost $17,931 per hour in aircraft alone. Purchases for the CODEL included: Johnny Walker Red scotch, Grey Goose vodka, E&J brandy, Bailey’s Irish Crème, Maker’s Mark whiskey, Courvoisier cognac, Bacardi Light rum, Jim Beam whiskey, Beefeater gin, Dewars scotch, Bombay Sapphire gin, Jack Daniels whiskey, Corona beer and several bottles of wine.
•According to a “Memo for Record” from a March 29—April 7, 2007, CODEL that involved a stop in Israel, “CODEL could only bring Kosher items into the Hotel. Kosher alcohol for mixing beverages in the Delegation room was purchased on the local economy i.e. Bourbon, Whiskey, Scotch, Vodka, Gin, Triple Sec, Tequila, etc.”
•The Department of Defense advanced a CODEL of 56 members of Congress and staff $60,000 to travel to Louisiana and Mississippi July 19-22, 2008, to “view flood relief advances from Hurricane Katrina.” The three-day trip cost the U.S. Air Force $65,505.46, exceeding authorized funding by $5,505.46.
“Speaker Pelosi has a history of wasting taxpayer funds with her boorish demands for military travel. And these documents suggest the Speaker’s congressional delegations are more about partying than anything else,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.
Judicial Watch previously obtained internal DOD email correspondence detailing attempts by DOD staff to accommodate Pelosi’s numerous requests for military escorts and military aircraft as well as the speaker’s last minute cancellations and changes.

This, according to World Net Daily, is part of Nancy Pelosi’s bar tab for the American Taxpayer:
That receipt is from the Bolling AFB Shoppette, which is also the site for the Class VI store where authorized patrons can purchase liquor, wine and beer.
It is also important to note that there are no state taxes applied to that purchase. Bolling AFB is federal property and as such purchases at the Exchange, Commissary and Shoppette are exempt from state and local taxes. Bolling AFB is located within the District of Columbia and Pelosi’s purchase deprives the District of tax revenue. Given the scale of her liquor consumption, I’d say that is significant and worthy of investigation by DC’s Internal Revenue Service, USAF OSI, and maybe even the BATF. But it won’t happen, of course.
Just as irritating, if not more so, is that Pelosi does not have a legal right to purchase products at the Exchange, Commissary, or Shoppette, so she is undoubtedly sending someone who does, not that she would ever lower herself to shop with the commoners in the first place. My guess is that she has a military aide, a valid military ID card holder, such as a retired service member or military dependent on her staff, or someone associated with the 89th Airlift Wing that supports “her” aircraft. The latter option seems least likely because they could use the Class VI at Andrews AFB, where Nancy’s private jet is located. BAFB has not had a runway for decades.
Another thought is that the VIP aircraft that fly out of AAFB are no doubt stocked for their passengers by the USAF, much in the way that VIP quarters and many Visiting Officers Quarters are stocked with mini bars by the base billeting services. I would not be surprised if the VIPs supported by the 89th Airlift Wing were billed for in-flight “refueling” just as guests are billed for using items stocked in the honor bars or mini bars in their Q rooms, but then again I would not be surprised if these particular VIPs were not. What does surprise me is this practice of purchasing alcohol in such large quantities ON BASE.
There are serious questions here about fraudulent use of Exchange privileges along with the possible abuse of military personnel. These things along with the extreme amount of money involved rise to the level of FRAUD, WASTE, and ABUSE.

Get a bit more realistic with your absurd, flippant comment. How many in the US workforce? And how many in that workforce are unemployed, off the unemployment radar because they’ve quit looking? So how much would that be per share of the unemployed, underemployed, about-to-be-unemployed and working stiffs? Get back to us after you get a recount, and a higher math course.

Just the cost of all of that Hootch should be on Her Bar Tab. If it did come from the Military Exchange System as tfhr suggests She needs to answer for that. At a cost of better than $18k per hour she needs to fly on her own cash as well. Airlift is not cheap. Maybe she needs to go AMTRACK like Biden.

Roger that. Air Force 0-4s and 0-5s are Adult Supervision but not on my Tax Dollar.
I do know some Majors and Colonels that can mix a mean drink but those are some
very high priced bartenders and babysitters. This needs to come to a screeching halt.
I believe that it falls under involuntary servitude under the UCMJ as well as a few other
things.
I know that any Congressional Ethics Committee will just give it a nod and a wink,

I knew she’d abuse this, now over 2 million bucks later we should all be outraged! When it first came up I wondered if she can’t fly commercial to get back and forth to her job, what’s she going to do for family vacations? We found out, she takes family on the CODEL’s, they are trapsing around the world on our dime.
Where are these planes based to begin with? I noticed flights for her family originated in California… are these planes flown from the DC area to California just to pick them up?
They are based at Andrews AFB outside DC. The unit is the 89th Airlift Wing. It’s job is to haul the CinC and all the leadership of the nation to important things including vacations for the prez. It is his mobile office.
The rest are on a list and aircraft availability is key. If the desired aircraft is in for maintenance checks and servicing it is not available. It seems that nancy had a fit when the VC-32 she wanted was in the hangar on jacks. All she could get was the Gulfstream G V or VC-37.

They need to go to Davis Monthan AFB, refurbish an old Caribou or C-123 Provider, give them box lunches, bottled water and stop to refuel about 8 times in Flyover Country from Bolling AFB to SFO as part of Obama’s Enlightened Spending Freeze Program. Lead by Example By God and Recycling to boot!

Sounds a little funny, I was told that if a government employee charges booze in thier Government Credit card it is grounds for dismissal.
Are the Congressmen and Women exempt (surprise) from the rules they implement for other government employees? After all, they are employees also!
