Mike,

You’ve got to be KIDDING ME!!! George Bush Proved he was a worthless wonder. We are so much better off today with Obama. Despite yours and other drivel shown here on FA.

And, Sarah’s rating is within one point of BO’s approval rating…

Well, GWB did say history would judge him differently than his poll numbers…who knew it would be before the 1 year anniversary that BO was sworn in?

@Real American Patriot: I thought you gave up the crack pipe C.R.A.P. ?

Go back to rehab.

@Real American Patriot:

Poor Bruce. Still worshiping at ObaMeister’s feet I see.

Still unemployed too probably.

[It seems Hoax and Change doesn’t sit well after a few months!]

Pretty funny, Mike. I haven’t heard that one yet! 🙂

The most dynamic personality he was not, but he meant business and he has class. Way more class than George and Weezie Jefferson who occupy the White House now.

@SoCal Chris: I stole it from Rush. And for our lib friends: yes, I still want Obama to fail in his bid to remake America into a socialist nightmare.

Rush added onto the Hoax and Change today — just happened to catch part if his show where he was calling it Hoax and Chains.

I agree with Ann Monterey — Bush 43 said more than once, history would prove him more right than wrong. . .

And this before the next major attack on US soil.
Something I pray never happens, but fear likely will.
70/30 minimum

@Mike’s America:
I’m glad you stole it from Rush and wrote it here as I didn’t hear Rush say it yet. So, now I’ll be sure to share it with those brainwashed by ‘The One’.

Some people got exactly what they voted for…A smooth talking used car salesman with a knack for self-promotion….
Now all of us are stuck with him for three more years….I would like to think next time more people will pay attention to whom they are voting for but I doubt it…

Mike thank you for re-posting the Bush Thank-A-Thon, I enjoyed it so much the first time and I’m definitely longing for the time when a real man was in Our House.

2010 will be a year that will live in infamy for the leftists…they will regret that they’ve alienated the real America.

Real American Patriot, in what regard?

Old Trooper: I am an American Patriot in every regard. I too wore the uniform. I just don’t buy the BS that apparently you have bought into. The BS that says to be an American Patriot I need to be a conservative. Sorry Trooper

Mike, Will I see a positive article on this Blog about Obama’s speech at Oslo??

Something tells me that won’t happen. I guessing you are unable say or write a positive word about Obama.

Real American Patriot, You assume I bought something. What did I buy?

Obama makes well crafted speeches. His actions or failure to exercise prudent judgment tell the story here. His inability to be fiscally responsible or remember who He works for is an issue here.
I think You bought into something that is destructive to the Nation, the Economy and has produced nothing but speeches, photo ops and ought right lies about job creation while the Treasury is broken by entitled folks that are no less than thieves and tax cheats.

Nice Speech but smoke & mirrors.

@Real American Patriot:

Well, let’s take a peek at what a democrat had to write about the Oslo speech:

The Nobel Speech

I listened to it this morning quite early and posted at NRO. Bottom line: an academic sermon on peace/war with the now accustomed Obama characteristics:

1) long again (4,000 words); 2) “I” or “me” 34 times: same old self referencing; 3) the inadvertent cosmic arrogance [“I do not bring with me today a definitive solution to the problems of war.” = you think?]; 4) straw men trope: some say this; others say that; but I uniquely say…; 5) reference to my own personal inspirational story; 6) trash my predecessor or his policies; 7) end with hopey/changey cadences.

That was pretty much it—a pulpit exegesis that could have been cut to 500 words. I would have done the speech in 10 minutes and used the extra time to have lunch with poor neglected King Harald. (Second recommendation: Obama should try to hire some speech-writers over 40. There are a lot of old pro Democrat wordsmiths around that might come in and offer something new other than the now tired boilerplate.)

Be sure and read the rest of Victor Davis Hanson’s column; note the list of catastrophes, or as he writes:

“….after 11 months there has emerged aseries of bothersome incidents that the public has come to associate with Obama, both the man and his philosophies. Some are major policy issues; others trivial acts of no cosmic importance. None in themselves matter all that much. Each gaffe or mistake was contextualized and mended, or attended to by Robert Gibbs. Some are Obama’s fault; others the work of associates. Sometimes mere chance is the culprit.

I know Bush had his own list of catastrophes; other Presidents did as well. Again, my point is not trying to adjudicate relative culpability, but rather just to remind us all how and why Obama dived over 20 points in the polls in just 11 months—and his speeches transformed from inspirational to caricatures.

http://pajamasmedia.com/victordavishanson/why-are-we-tiring-of-obama/

BTW, did you notice the “dived 20 points in the polls in just 11 months”……he’s still trending DOWN, both President Bush and Sarah Palin are trending up. The only thing Obama has improved on is Afghanistan because he finally did something, 49% (probably conservatives) are supporting him now. Domestic issues…..he stinks.

While Bush stumbled around over gaffs and verbal bloopers, our new and improved Obamazilla will confidently enunciate our Nation Eulogy with perfect diction and absolute clarity as we are all lowered into the grave of socialism.

RAP,

I don’t believe you need to be Conservative or Liberal to witness an undermining of American values by this President.

Can you see the day when the German population would applaud their President bowing to a foreign leader? How about France?

He made many commitments during the campaign that he either had no intention of fulfilling or he just lied. You really don’t need a C or an L behind your name to dislike that. Transparency? Reaching across the aisles? No new taxes? As Obama likes to say, Words, just words.

Simply watching his approval numbers slide would indicate many others feel the same way.

I tell you what, cons, if you chose to run in 2010 and 2012 on a “we want to bring back the Bush years” platform, the only choice Obama and the Dems will have to make is where to seat all the new freshmen Congressmen and Senators at caucus time, because the architects of the Capitol never envisioned one party having 72% of the seats. “Bring back Bush” will leave your side with winning Texas, Oklahoma, Utah, Mississippi and maybe Alabama, and nothing more. So, yeah, in honor of “A Christmas Story”, I double dog dare you guys to run on a “Bring Back Bush” platform!

George Bush Thank-a-thon, huh? Thanks for the deficits, our trillions of dollars in new debt to the communist Chinese, the mired-down stupid Iraq War, the mismanaged Afghanistan War, a bang up Katrina response, torturing people at US military facilities, and exploding entitlements by signing a drug bill that was not paid for? Thanks for that? You guys sure are masochists!

I suppose you cons REALLY BELIEVE he deserves to be THANKED for the job he did as president, don’t you? And yet you wonder why the GOP is held in such low regards. Here is a hint — when someone’s job performance over eight years, on the whole, sucks, you do not give them a medal. That would only encourage others to do the same abysmal level of performance. Talk about the soft bigotry of low expectations . . . no wonder you people think Palin is a genius and would make a “good” president!

And another thing . . . I still have not received an answer to my question:

would the readers of this board rather have unemployment at 6% in October 2010, knowing that it will elect more Dems and strengthen Obama, or have it at 12%?

No one here will answer the question, probably because it will betray the con agenda: they don’t want what is best for America, they want what is best for themselves and their quest for power. Hugh Hewitt was telling people they should boycott GM and Chrysler after the bailout . . . how would that help America? Cons opposed a proposed statute that would have required military contractors to provide a legal forum for employees who are sexually assaulted . . . how did that help America? We know what you are against; but no one knows what you are for. It is why the GOP now has voter identification numbers in the low 20s, which has declined in the last year. And yet what is the response? More of the same.

@B-Rob:

Brotha B-Rob, another strawman, whatever opposition candidate that challenges the manchild will be running on their own ideals and accomplishments, what you need to be concerned with is a challenge from your own party.

What you don’t seem to get is that the people aren’t liking your guy, more and more are getting fed up with failure after failure, the bold faced lies in their pathetic attempts to explain it all away. Hence his support is going down, 20 points to date, Bush and Palin up and Bush isn’t even lifting a finger to respond to the attacks that find their way into every damn speech the manchild delivers. Common sense would tell the “slow one’ that it isn’t working anymore, but like you, he doesn’t catch on.

Dr. Hanson provided a list of grievances in the link I provided, commenters added to the lengthy list. Wait til amnesty comes up, the public already realizes what a hit to healthcare that will bring, they also realize that when Obamapompousass tells them no illegals will be covered in our healthcare it’s just another lie because he fully intends to make the illegals…..legal. No rationing? another lie, 60 +% have figured that out.

Members of your own party are taking notice, that’s why we have “I’m sorry I voted for Obama” websites and “Forgive me for voting for Obama” signs posted in front lawns. Democrats linking up with the tea parties, 36% approval rating on the healthcare bill the mesmerizing Harry Reid is attempting to shove down everyone’s throat with the idiot in chief’s full support. That’s a winner.

Hey Missy, why not answer my question? Do you want unemployment at 6%, or at 12%?

How about they count unemployment correctly B-Rob? They undercounted last month by what, a mere million or so? What’s a million when the “t” word is at one’s disposal anyway.

B-Rob, I’ll bite.

I want unemployment back down to where it was a few years ago.

Obama wants unemployment up even higher than it is now. Way higher.

The more people are made poor and angry, the more power he can consolidate. His and his cronies’ best-case scenario would be 50% unemployment, the people begging the government to HALP US PLEASE!, and the other 50% working for the government itself.

The OTHER best-case scenario for Obama and this near-Soviet administration would be: a high enough unemployment rate to get the people to actually revolt and rise up in violent protest, at which point the government would be forced to step in and put the boot of State down on the rightwing dissenters.

I want a LOW unemployment rate, despite that it might somehow make Obama look good (a stretch, given the weighty stack of crazy on the other side of the balance-scales), because I DON’T WANT any scenario which lets this Politburo-wannabe administration to engage in it’s ultimate desires.

What you don’t seem to understand is that Obama and this administration and many in Congress are not trying to fix America. Except maybe in the Chicago sense of the word. Fix us real good, maybe. Give us a tune-up, so to Chitown-speak. If you don’t understand this, you need to re-read Cloward and Piven, and the writings of Saul Alinsky, and even go back and read a few Khruschev speeches. The dude fumbling at the lock isn’t trying to fix it…if you look closely you’ll see that he’s trying to break it, so that he can replace it.

@B-Rob:

would the readers of this board rather have unemployment at 6% in October 2010, knowing that it will elect more Dems and strengthen Obama, or have it at 12%?

When the democrats took over the House the unemployment rate was 4.6%, when Obama was Inaugurated it was 7.6% ten months later, after promising 3.7 million jobs the magical Stimulus they passed into law was going to create, we are sitting at 10%* unemployment with 3.6 million out of work.

*that number doesn’t include “real unemployment” those who have left the job market or are working at part time capacity.

Perhaps you can explain how, in 10 months, these whiz kids are going to drop it back down to 6% while enacting new laws that will hamper small business growth. Since small business is the engine of our economy, why would they hire knowing new taxes and regulations will be added to the burdens they are already bearing? Why would they hire knowing the tax credit the democrats plan to offer expires 12 months later? or the credit for new hires phases out in two years? yet, they will be operating under the threat of an inheritance tax, healthcare tax, cap and trade, card check.

I’m pretty sure the government will not be able to find slots for 4% of 3.6 million, how they going to do it Brotha B-Rob?

http://data.bls.gov/PDQ/servlet/SurveyOutputServlet?series_id=LNS14000000

No one here will answer the question, probably because it will betray the con agenda: they don’t want what is best for America, they want what is best for themselves and their quest for power.

Quest for power? you guys just did that and all we got is a lousy 10% unemployment rate.

Cons opposed a proposed statute that would have required military contractors to provide a legal forum for employees who are sexually assaulted . . . how did that help America?

Where, in the U.S.A. is sexual assault legal, do we not already have police and courts? Are we to now duplicate what we already have in all business or just the evil “military contractors?”

It is why the GOP now has voter identification numbers in the low 20s, which has declined in the last year. And yet what is the response? More of the same.

You need to get up to speed, voter identification means squat. There are twice the conservatives in this country than liberals, conservatives are not going to pull the lever for liberal democrats or Obama and independents are leaving Obama in droves.

Here’s Rasmussens latest generic congressional polling average. Note, the only polling democrats are ahead in is the one democratic polling outfit, Democracy Corp and CNN. CNN doesn’t give their stats and they use registered voters that generally lean democratic instead of the more accurate likely voter polling group. Both CNN and Democracy Corp are outdated:

You really are a piece of work BROB! You have SOME NERVE talking about deficits. And Iraq? Haven’t you figured out that despite the best efforts of folks like you to make us lose WE WON?

And when it comes to Katrina, the people in New Orleans got much more help from George Bush than the millions of unemplyed ALL OVER THE U.S. UNDER OBAMA!

And the only “torture” going on around here is to have half witted polemicists like yourself continue to dump this same load of hooey day after day when by comparison to Obama Bush shines brighter and brighter.

You really should know when it is better to stay quiet than reveal to the world what so many of us already know about you.

Missy, great post!

I’ll pre-emptively predict B-Rob’s response:

“Well, Missy, since you didn’t answer my question directly and simply like I demanded of you, then your TL;DR Wall Of Text means nothing to me, and your position remains INEXPLICABLE.”

The internet-idiocy-denoting contraction TL;DR was invented by folks like B-Rob. If you cannot change their mind in two sentences or less, then you have become “FAIL” personified, and, indeed, are covered with copious amounts of “FAIL”, so much that you might even be drowning in it. Srsly. That’s how these folks think. Oh, and still don’t think you’ll change their mind even if you stay within the two-sentence boundary and follow all their demands and rules for the proper style of debate, becuase they have already decided that their minds will not be changed.

See how fun that is?

Its why I started my answer with, exactly as he commanded of me, a direct answer: “I want the LOWER number…and here’s why…”

At least with my comment, he cannot fall back on the “You didn’t do as I commanded, so you lose.” page in the Liberal debate playbook.

Note: I find the similarities between hard-left debate style and that employed by Islamic practitioners of the deceptive art of taqiyya to be so strikingly similar as to be uncanny.

It must be because they have the same Father. IYKWIM.

Hmmmm……Someone mentioned deficits under Bush?

Photobucket

Photobucket

The Dims are about to raise the debt ceiling by $1.8 trillion….

Yeah, I prefer Bush.

No kiddin. If pictures – simple freakin’ pictures – don’t work, then nothing will.

@Taqiyyotomist:

I tried to find some done in crayon but had no luck.

@RBob — just out of curiosity can you quote someone or a site that has stated (in writing) the Republicans will run with a ‘We Want Bush Back’ platform? . . .why does this thought even enter your brain — maybe all that ‘Hoax and Chains’ is falling short of the soaring-rhetorical-teleprompter-promises?

Won’t ACORN, SEIU will have enough ‘votes’ stashed away in their car trunks to make up for any deficits. . .? What are you even stressing about?

My friends, living in Nevada, reported that they are more and more seeing — this text on homemade signs. . .

‘Anybody BUTT Harry Reid’

@B-Rob, get your panties out of that wad angry little man.

If Your reading comprehension skills are as good as Your copy and paste skills, You have nothing more to rant about.

So, is it that you are a government handout recipient; or just brain dead? Mr o has done nothing but put you and all American’s in harms way. You probable have a favorite B-ball team and F-ball team that you argue with your friends about too. Shame you have not spent more time collecting facts.

@ Mike’s America —

“You have SOME NERVE talking about deficits.

“And Iraq? Haven’t you figured out that despite the best efforts of folks like you to make us lose WE WON?”

Moron, that entire country is not worth a single one of the Americans who lost their life over George W. Bush’s poor risk assessment concerning Saddam Hussein. Bush’s judgment was off . . .WAY OFF and lotS of brilliant young Americans died too soon because of it. I will not even go into the mismanagement of the invasion, using too few soldiers with not enough equipment, etc. Books have already been written about it so I need only say that “The Forever War” was a complete “Fiasco” because we went “Blind into Baghdad.”

“And when it comes to Katrina, the people in New Orleans got much more help from George Bush than the millions of unemplyed ALL OVER THE U.S. UNDER OBAMA!”

W.t.f.? That is the non-sequitar of the year! Mike, do you actually think the Bush Administration did a GOOD JOB ON Katrina? Do you? See, the thing that destroyed Bush’s credibility is not the f-up, but the “Brownie” remark. He thought they had done a good job! Normal Americans saw that and shook their heads. Only conservatives thought he did swell.

“And the only ‘torture’ going on around here is to have half witted polemicists like yourself continue to dump this same load of hooey day after day when by comparison to Obama Bush shines brighter and brighter.

HA HA HA HA! You slay me!

“You really should know when it is better to stay quiet than reveal to the world what so many of us already know about you.”

No, Mike, I love tweaking you and your pompously self-proclaimed expertise in things international and military. You bring no actual information to the table, Mike, just bluster. But it is one of the things I love about this site: showing you cons the gapping, Mack Truck sized holes in your logic.

@ American Voter —

You really think ACORN and SEIU are the reasons why Obama won Colorado, New Mexico, Iowa, Nevada, Indiana, Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida? You are more “mentally challenged” than I though. Poor fella . . . .

Yesss…give in to the HATE, young Skywaker! Feel it within you! The ANGER.

Read that last post, and tell yourself that it’s us that are full of hatred, craziness, and anger.

The Bush admin did more than the failures Nagin and Landreiu. These Party Loyalists intentionally did nothing so that you and NPR could milk Katrina for the next ten years. The federal government tried to assist in the early days, but the State and parish and NOLA itself kept rebuffing them. Remember, the fed can’t just waltz in without an invitation from the state.

The millions of dollars that were supposed to be used to plan for something like this and to further reinforce the levies were squandered in the 20 years prior to the hurricane on riverboat casinos and corrupt Democrat politicians and their cronies. The humongous “contingency plan” that cost millions just to study, research, and write was used as a doorstop when it all went down, and, as I said, nothing at all was done on purpose, so that you and NPR and the entire left could have ammunition to use against your hated enemies, the Evil Bushitler and his evil minions.

And it worked! NPR still can’t do a day of radio without the obligatory daily milking of Katrina for the advancement of their marxist agenda. And you believe the lies. Have you seen the pictures of the buses? Parking lots full of buses that were meant to evacuate the folks who decided that they would stay and loot all the businesses alongside the local corrupt cops? Nope, you still think Bush did this, all of it orchestrated meticulously by the evil genius idiot chimp.
*****
Oh, and B-Rob? That typed laughter doesn’t mitigate or deflect attention from the obvious hatred and anger.

You’re not laughing. You’re breaking the keys off your keyboard, B-Rob, and yelling like you have advanced, terminal Tourette’s, probably about to stroke out. You’re probably scaring the neighbors, you’re so angry.

A brief cliffnotes version for you:
———–
Fed: can we assist?

NOLA and LA: no.

Fed: okay how ’bout now?

NOLA and LA: no, no, no.

Fed: want our help yet?

NOLA and LA: nope.

Three days later:
NOLA and LA and the entire Left Wing: The Federal government wouldn’t help us when we needed it most! They FAILED US! GEORGE W. BUSH HATES BLACK PEOPLE! OH NOES!

@BRob — thanks for the laugh — I forwarded your comment to friends–who forwarded your comment(s) out to cyberspace. . . it’s Friday and we all need comic relief…especially after they read all your comments vs the facts presented in this thread alone. . . thanks!

Typical Libtard — you are either distorting facts, ignoring facts presented, issuing ad hominem attacks, straw man reference, and/or putting words in people’s mouths. . .did I cover it all!

Feigned outraged to come?…

@B-Rob: I’m happy to stack my experience in government at every level from the Court House to the White House against your South Side Chicago shyster act any day.

You clearly lack the kind of perspective, let alone critical reasoning skills necessary to do more here than repeat the same shopworn socialist shibboleths we’ve heard time and time again.

As @Palpatine (or Taqiyy.) and @American Voterpoint out your point of view, or what passes for one, is laughable.

What a shame that with millions of Americans out of work this holiday season I find it hard to be as jolly as you Katrina-Democrats who seem oblivious to the suffering that your policies have wrought.

You really should be ashamed of yourself but I realize you never hold yourself or your party or your leaders accountable for anything. It’s all Bush’s fault or that of us rascally cons.

Well, guess what BLOB, the American people aren’t as stupid as you think they are and they are turning away from your lies in droves.

Payback in 2010 and 2012 is going to be a bitch!

@Taqiyyotomist:

Heh! Do you remember what it was like debating the truthers a few years back? They ignored all reasoned response and would leap to the next screwball strawman talking point trying to take you in circles.

Brotha Rob’s style is similar. Difference being, after he get in the weeds with someone, he drops contact, on to someone, something else, the previous conversation no longer exists.

There’s thread after thread in here where he disappears when things get uncomfortable, yet he whines about his questions not being answered.

I think Mata is right, he’s not an attorney in the southside of Chicago, he’s a paralegal. I’m starting to think he may be an apprentice that’s advanced all the way up to parking tickets.

LOL, Missy! I’ve never even been to college, am a dishwasher and handyman by trade, and I’ll take on his lawyerly butt anytime. Skook is right, position on life’s success ladder – sometimes it’s meaningless.

@ Mike’s America —

Hmm . . . “South Side Chicago shyster” is Obama. So I guess Scalia is a “Cleveland shyster” under your definition, and ThomPerhaps the greatest measure of Obama’s declining support is that just 50% of voters now say they prefer having him as President to George W. Bush, with 44% saying they’d rather have his predecessor. as is a “Missouri ambulance chaser”? Amd Roberts is a “DC shill”. You see how empty you rhetoric is? You claim you are some sorta expert on diplomacy . . . and “South Side Chicago shyster” is the best phrase you can come up with? Pretty weak thinking, there . . . Zbig would be embarassed by such a pedestrian effort.

Here is Obama in context:

“Perhaps the greatest measure of Obama’s declining support is that just 50% of voters now say they prefer having him as President to George W. Bush, with 44% saying they’d rather have his predecessor.”

A six percent gulf over his predecessor. And how does that compare to the 2008 presidential election resuilts? Let’s see . . . .

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_presidential_election,_2008

52.9% versus 45.7% . . . or to round it, seven points.

Do you see a pattern here? It should be pretty obvious, Mike, given all your book learnin’. Obama beats your beloved Bush at about the same rate as he beat McCain. But he beats them both, soundly. I would LOVE to see his numbers against Palin . . . .

I suspect he would beat everyone of the goofs you cons would put up against him. Why? Because for all your ranting and raving here, Mike, your anger is simply not shared by the American people. REAL AMERICANS like the guy. It’s why he won last year and its why he would win again if the vote was held today.

And you know what else, Mike? With each bank that pays back its TARP funds early, with each Chevy car that wins an award, as the unemployment rate continues to drop — WHO DO YOU THINK LOOKS BETTER, MIKE? Obama? Or the cons who opposed everything he tried to do to buy time and stabilize the economy and stop the bleeding? You cons wanted the American auto industry to just implode without any intervention. How would that have been a “good thing”, Mike, to add to the unemployment numbers when we were already in a recession . . . especially if you could so something to slow down the destruction?

You know how I amd now almost 100% sure the numbers will be better, Mike? I ran into a friend of mine yesterday. She is an in-house “deal” lawyer for a major national commercial real estate developer. She is swamped with deals that have to close before the end of the year, things that died a year ago and are now back on the board. Banks are lending again, so she is finishing development deals.

You know what that means, Mike? We will be ROARING come the third quarter. I can hear you cons now, fretting about fears of inflation from a 4.1% GDP growth in the second quarter! HA HA HA HA!

Rasmussen just posted December 12 results a short time ago. . .Obama has hit a new low. Passion index is at -16.

B-Rob, for Your information, Scalia and Roberts are distinguished Jurists and Supreme Court Judges, Obama never passed a Bar Exam anywhere so Your examples are pointless and the polls indicate a lack of confidence in the Obama directed Policies.

http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/obama_administration/daily_presidential_tracking_poll

Overall, 46% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President’s performance. Fifty-three percent (53%) disapprove.

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704402404574525543109875438.html

The CNN poll also shows that in addition to health care, a majority of Americans disapprove of how Mr. Obama is handling the economy, Afghanistan, Iraq, unemployment, illegal immigration and the federal budget deficit. Put simply, there isn’t a critical problem facing the country on which the president has positive ratings.

An NBC/Wall Street Journal poll conducted from Oct. 22-25 found that the president’s personal ratings have suffered a similar decline. His rating for being honest and straightforward has fallen eight points from January to 33% and his rating for being firm and decisive has fallen 10 points to 27%.

Even more fundamentally, a Washington Post/ABC News poll conducted from Oct. 15-18 shows that the president has now reached a point where less than a majority of Americans believe he will make the right decisions for the country.

A Rasmussen Reports poll released Oct. 26 shows that only one-third of likely voters believe the stimulus package has helped the economy. And two separate Rasmussen Reports polls from earlier this month showed that less than half of likely voters approve of the health-care initiative, while a majority (55%) expect politics to become even more partisan in the coming year. Meanwhile, almost half of respondents told Rasmussen Reports that since Mr. Obama has been in office they are doing worse economically. Respondents by a 62%-27% majority respondents say they trust themselves over the president to make economic decisions facing the nation.

Until recently, Mr. Obama has been able to blame George W. Bush for the country’s economic problems. October’s NBC/Wall Street Journal poll shows that while this is still a credible argument, it is less persuasive as the president’s time in office increases.

If You can read above grammar school level it is presented there for you.
3rd Quarter numbers are not in yet but are not expected to be either “roaring” or “robust”.
I don’t know where you get information but you need to find a credible source. Come back after you do some homework and drop your condescending tone.

That’s all the attention I can spare you today.

“B-Rob, for Your information, Scalia and Roberts are distinguished Jurists and Supreme Court Judges, Obama never passed a Bar Exam anywhere”

“anywhere” except Illinoir, you mean, yes? And the last I checked, Obama taught constitutional law at the same friggin law school Scalia taught at before he went on the bench. And Obama graduated from magna cum laude from the same friggin law school Roberts attended and graduated magna cum. So, no, my examples are spot on and your info, as usual, if simply wrong. But no one ever accused you of being right, have they?

“the polls indicate a lack of confidence in the Obama directed Policies.”

What you are telling me, in football terms, is that the game is over, even though we are not at the end of the first quarter. Huh . . . let me say one thing: Super Bowl XXII.

From where you sit, Coach Gibbs should have benched Doug Williams after the first quarter because the team was down 10-0 and Williams had fumbled (but it wasn’t called) just as the first quarter ended. I quote wikipedia — “By the time the period ended, the Broncos had more than twice as many total yards of offense (142) as the Redskins (64). With Denver leading 10–0, Washington seemed to face insurmountable odds; no team had ever overcome a 10 point deficit to win a Super Bowl.”

How did that game turn out, Troop? 42-10 blowout. Doug Williams . . . 340 yards passing, 4 TD passes, MVP.

My point — it’s early. Check and see how Reagan’s first year went; the parallels are striking. If his numbers suck this time two years from now, then he is in trouble. Until then, though, he is not.

“If You can read above grammar school level it is presented there for you.”

What, exactly, is anyone supposed to do with this poll? Again, knucklehead, a little perspective:

http://wapedia.mobi/en/File:Bush_I_approval_rating.png

George H.W. Bush’s approval rating at the end of his first year was WAY above 60%. How’d that election turn out for him?

“3rd Quarter numbers are not in yet but are not expected to be either “roaring” or “robust”.”

I should have been more clear: I meant the third quarter of next year, and the second quarter of next year. Mea culpe.

“I don’t know where you get information but you need to find a credible source. Come back after
you do some homework and drop your condescending tone.”

Like I said, here are the links. Check them out yourself. Take all the comfort you want in polls one year out. It doesn’t much matter to me. But just know this:

the American people, the REAL AMERICANS, personally like Obama. He gets very favorable ratings on his personality, etc. This, I predict, is his nadir. From this point on . . . you can’t touch him . . . .

B-Rob

Over a trillion dollars worth of commercial real estate comes due in 2010, and almost half of that amount is expected to be underwater. Over 350 billion, which will hit the bottom-line of the already stressed banking industry.

There is some activity, as your friend has noticed, but it is still at record lows. (only 25 billion-worth so far this year vs 33 billion for a “normal” year.” The sales are NOT so much to companies expanding, but to large real-estate companies are buying up the assets of the small ones that are looking to get rid of non-rented properties before they themselves go under.

While you supply a mind-numbing stupid posit, based ONLY on an anecdotal comment from a “friend”, I spend many hours a week perusing the forecasts of the economic indicators. Even then, I would never base a position on my word alone, let alone ONE other dood/doodette.

There is NO financial-outlook periodical in agreement with you, or your “friend”, and the result will also lead to more bank failures. I forecast 1000 banks would fail in a years-time 2 months ago. So far, my projection is holding. I hope I am wrong.

-Your “drop in unemployment” is a mirage. Better known as “hiring for Christmas”. There is less than 10% of hiring managers forecasting expansion in 2010. A record low.

-GM would NOT have fired everyone, and went home. The fact that you and the rest of the economic-illiterates in your party keep claiming this canard, shows how absolutely imperative it is to keep you and your ilk away from the levers of power. Many companies go bankrupt, and most come out stronger for it. What Obama did was Fascistic, and was nothing more than a favor to the union who voted for him. IT WAS A BRIBE FOR VOTES, AND A MEANS TO POWER. In the end, they will go under, with worse results for the employees than would have been otherwise, had they done it last year under existing laws, and without our tax money.

-Inflation will come, regardless of unemployment numbers. The debt-ceiling is evidently made of tissue-paper, and is about to be raised a second time this year….another almost 2 trillion. Our debt-to-GDP ratio is about to pass 100% for the first time since the Depression.

That date with Pollyanna must have gone well for you. The rest of us will continue to watch the data.

@B-Rob: You’ve really gone out on a limb with your predictions for a roaring recovery. let’s hope you are right.

But I will look forward to your eating some crow when those unemployment numbers you cite are revised upwards after the first of the year.

Who will you blame then? Do us “cons” really have that kind of power to screw with the economy?

Or will you finally accept some responsibility for the mismanagement, corruption and gross incompetence Obama displays on a daily basis?

Never mind, I know the answer to that.

P.S. You are such an ASS! It’s going to be fun watching you squeal in 2010.

I’ll never buy a GM or Chrysler product again.

People claim that Obama has saved the American auto industry. My ass! People like Alan Mullaly, piloting Ford through a re-organizaton and making tough choices without begging for a dime of bailout money are the real heros in salvaging the American auto industry. Allowing GM and Chrysler to go through a normal bankruptcy would have allowed their asset to be sold to companies that might have utilized them productively in a well managed re-incarnation. Instead the only people to win were the company killing unions.

I was recently browsing an issue of Car & Driver while waiting for my oil to be changed when I came across an article about winners and losers in the auto industry. Obama was listed as a loser. Apparently Mr Obama claimed at the White House Correspondents Association dinner that Car & Driver had named him as Auto Executive of the Year and that he was extremely proud of the honor. Car & Driver had to point out that Mr Obama LIED Click HERE for the complete story

Is Obama’s need for adulation of such a nature that he could be labeled a pathological liar? Does the Presidential health care plan include psychiatric counseling?
