Obama Demands Press Respect His Girl’s Privacy

But it’s perfectly alright for his droids, trolls and worshippers to pick on everybody else’s kids, isn’t it?

What an absolute joke!! I hope the MSM give obama’s family the same respect and privacy as they did Palin’s. Can you say double standard in the press. obama bought the press and we are paying for it now. The press lied and our country is beign destroyed because of it.

President George W Bush took 31 days off beginning in August the first year of his Presidency.

btw, although the MSM are touting this as his first vacation, I do believe he has taken some time off prior to this. This isn’t the first visit to Martha’s Vineyard is it? And then there was Hawaii. Grand Canyon? Montana, fly fishing? He’s either going somewhere or he’s on the tube with TOTUS. I’m thrilled to have him off the big screen for a week…if only. I’m sure he’ll find a way to be in our face again all too soon.

This is what I see when I look at these pictures — an older daughter who resembles her dad and seems to be dad’s favorite, and a younger daughter who resembles her mom and seems to be in need of some fatherly attention. The “Us” cover and the “Life & Style” cover are particularly good examples of this.

Good point. Maybe this was representative of what the photographer captured that day — one girl with a noticeably close father/daughter bond and the other girl on the outside looking wistfully in. I’ve noticed this in their family photos/appearances before. It’ll be interesting to see what future shots look like.

When he went to Montana, he was in a place surrounded by his worshippers. Belgrade/Bozeman in Gallatin County does not have many natives left. When it got “discovered” by the fringe, for lack of a better term. I remember when the Gallatin was a good place to go. Now with the aging hippies, flower children, artists and such, it has gone in the toilet. If the obambozo wanted to visit somewher more real, I would have suggested the area where I grew up, known as the HiLine. This is the part of the state that starts at Cut Bank and goes East on US2. I am from Havre and Malta.
Short grass, winter wheat, sagebrush and cows. There is some gas drilling and the BNSF Railway, also. His reception would have been more of, you want what?

The Bush twins remained in the backround throughout the first campaign. They decided they would campaign for their father in the 2004 election. In the 2000 election they did not appear on magazine covers, campaign ads, no ice cream stand photos, etc. nor were they drug all over the US throughout that campaign. Unlike the Obama kids.

The Bush family has been remarkably successful at that, so much so that while Mr. Bush could become the next president and while his extended family is beginning to look an awful lot like a political dynasty, his two daughters are almost invisible, their faces unknown to 99.9 percent of voters outside Texas and their public sightings only slightly more frequent than Bigfoot’s.

They have appeared only a few times on the campaign trail, and they have not shown up in their father’s commercials.

Far from being out of the ordinary, the daughters’ anonymity immediately recalls that of Chelsea Clinton during her father’s first presidential campaign, in 1992, and is shared to a degree by the three younger Gore children. (The oldest, Karenna Gore Schiff, 26, has a public role as an adviser to her father’s presidential campaign.)

And it proves that even in an age when politicians will use most facets of their biographies to market themselves and the press shines a spotlight into many corners of a politician’s private life, there remains at least one largely unexploited, scrutiny-free zone. The children are spared.

Although President Clinton and his wife, Hillary, have often been portrayed as indiscriminately ambitious, Tom Rosenstiel, director of the Project for Excellence in Journalism in Washington, noted that ”for the most part, the Clintons have not used Chelsea as a campaign tool.”

In turn, Mr. Rosenstiel said, ”for all of the controversy and invasiveness of the press coverage concerning Bill Clinton, with a handful of exceptions, the press has respected the Clintons’ wish to leave Chelsea alone.”

Mr. Bush has similarly benefited from news organizations’ voluntary restraint. Austin is not so big a place, and there are reporters whose children — or whose friends’ children — attend the same public high school from which Barbara and Jenna Bush will be graduating this month. But the fruits of that familiarity have not found their way onto television or into newspapers.

Similarly, Mr. Bush trusts reporters on his campaign plane to be cognizant of, and to respect, his wishes that his daughters remain journalistically off-limits, and he thus talks somewhat freely about them on occasion and even mentioned, several times, the kinds of colleges each daughter was considering.

For example, Barbara and Jenna Bush briefly considered accompanying their parents to the polls in Texas for the Republican primary; it was, after all, the first election cycle in which the girls were old enough to vote.

But when they found out that photographers would be chronicling their father’s movements, they decided not to go. Similarly, Barbara and Jenna appeared on stage with their father only twice in the primaries: once in New Hampshire, on the night that he lost to Senator John McCain of Arizona, and once in Austin.

GaffaUK – He was campaigning when he said that. He didn’t mean it about Ms. Palin’s children anymore than he meant he would have a transparent presidency, would post all bills online for a minimum of 5 days, that no one making under $250,000 would experience ANY KIND of a tax increase, (cigarette tax, alcohol, capitacl gains, etc. soon showed up) and he would SAVE the country from BIG, BAD, BUSH, and everyone would live happily ever after. He was blowing smoke at everyone. I feel for you if you believed any of it. He wouldn’t know the truth if it walked up and introduced itself to him.
Obama was relishing the fact that the MSM was attacking Ms. Palin and her children. It took the heat off of his lies and broken promises.
When Ms. Palin was referring to her son and the “death panels”, I would too if it were my child. She was naturally worried about what the MESSIAH was planning. AND, what his right-hand death panel himself (Ezekial Emanual who stated: Most doctors take the Hippocratic oath way too seriously). What I don’t understand about the lying administration is they boldly stated there was nothing about end-of-life counseling in the bill, and after Ms. Palin attacked it, they then stated they took if out of the bill. If it wasn’t in, how could they take it out? I have never been able to figure out how to take something out that isn’t there. Maybe because I am not an educated person, some people have the idea I can’t think for myself. I am not school educated, but I have something a lot of people in the current administration don’t have: COMMON SENSE!

TXMarko – Let’s not punish the Obama kids like the left did ALL of the Republican kids. I say it is not their fault their parents act like 3rd graders at recess. I believe we should leave the kids alone and concentrate on getting their parents to accept responsiblity for what they do. Don’t blame the kids. They cannot defend themselves agains evil minded adults.

C’mon Mike – you can put a more convincing argument and reasoning that just doing the boring schoolyard ‘You’re stupid’ line.

By all means criticise Obama for displaying his kids on magazines covers and then complaining about privacy.

By all mean criticise the big bad MSM for attacking Palin’s kids.

By all means criticise the aforementioned MSM for being too soft on Obama.

But those who link Obama & the MSM as somehow being the same – and use the calculation that Obama & MSM are friends, Obama demands privacy and yet the MSM attacks Palin’s kids – therefore Obama must be attacking Palin’s kids and therefore is a hypocrite – is lame beyond belief which shows stupidity and amazing lack of logic. Or saying that no doubt he’s giving a nod and wink is also very very lame.

The fact is Obama hasn’t attacked Palin’s kids and to state or insinuate otherwise only deviates away from the truth.
