Obama/Khalidi Tape Controversy Gets Even More Curious

Loading

McCain and Palin blasted the LA Times today for their complete hypocrisy in not releasing the tape that shows Obama toasting PLO terrorist Rashid Khalidi:

John McCain slammed The Los Angeles Times Wednesday for refusing to release a videotape that the newspaper’s editors say shows Barack Obama praising a Chicago professor who served as a spokesman for the Palestine Liberation Organization when it was a U.S.-designated terror group.

Speaking to two Florida radio stations, the Republican presidential candidate suggested a double standard in reporting by the newspaper and said if he were hanging out with neo-Nazis he’d bet the tape would be made public.

The Times says it is standing by its promise not to show the tape, which it got from an anonymous source. The newspaper also has not provided a transcript of the 2003 farewell party for University of Chicago professor Rashid Khalidi. Among others in attendance at the soiree were former Weather Underground founders William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn.

“Apparently this is a tape with a dinner that Mr. Ayers … was at, and also … one of the leading spokespersons for the PLO. Now, why that should not be made public is beyond me,” McCain told La Kalle radio.

“I guarantee you, if there was a tape with me and Sarah Palin and some neo-Nazi or one of those, you think that that tape wouldn’t be made public? Of course, Americans need to know, particularly about Ayers, and also about the PLO. So hopefully there will be enough pressure on the L.A. Times that it’ll come out, but its really unfortunate that we have to go through this,” McCain continued.

Palin too lambasted the newspaper for its inaction.

“If there’s a Pulitzer Prize category for excelling in cow-towing, then the LA Times, you’re winning,” she said.

Not only have the refused to release the tape or even a transcript, they have made four…count them…four excuses for not releasing the thing. This latest one?

The Los Angeles Times did not publish the videotape because it was provided to us by a confidential source who did so on the condition that we not release it,” said the newspaper’s editor, Russ Stanton. “The Times keeps its promises to sources.

This one may not be so far fetched according to Debbie Schlussel.

The Los Angeles Times has a copy of the tape, but won’t release it because they said the source–whom I believe is Arab American Action Network (AAAN) founder and anti-Israel Palestinian activist Ali Abunimah of Electronic Intifada–required it not be released as a condition of sharing it. That’s because it likely shows Obama applauding an anti-Semitic, anti-Israel poem that was read at the dinner.

~~~
I’m almost positive that the video Wallsten referenced in the story was obtained from Arab American Action Network founder Abunimah because my article–the one Wallsten ripped off from me–featured photos of Barack Obama and wife Michelle seated with PLO advisor Edward Said at another AAAN annual banquet and led Wallsten to contact Abunimah. I noted in my article–from which Wallsten got most of his info–that the pics were from Ali Abunimah’s Electronic Intifada site, in which he wrote about Obama’s 180 on Israel from those days of AAAN dinners and PLO confabs.
I believe that Wallsten contacted Abunimah about the photos and learned of the other AAAN annual banquet dinner (at which Abunimah, Obama, Ayers, Dohrn, and Khalidi were all in attendance), and that Abunimah is his source for the video.
No hard evidence but it makes sense.
Now why would the video be suppressed? Hell, they won’t even release a transcript….why not?
Saw a clip from the tape. Reason we can’t release it is because statements Obama said to rile audience up during toast. He congratulates Khalidi for his work saying “Israel has no God-given right to occupy Palestine” plus there’s been “genocide against the Palestinian people by Israelis.”
It would be really controversial if it got out. Tha’s why they will not even let a transcript get out.
That from a tipster to Doug Ross who has given him reliable information in the past.
Pretty damaging stuff and would make even more sense given the fact that the tape is being hid from the public. Why do it if it wasn’t damaging?
So give it to me in plain terms, do you personally think we will ever see the tape? What are the odds we will see it in time by november? Not that I am waiting for it to make up my mind, mind you!!!!
If I had to hazard a guess I would say we might just see this thing released tomorrow morning.
Remember how McCain sucked the wind out of Obama’s next morning press when he picked Palin?
I predict the same sort of oxygen sucking timing for the release of this tape.
Best. Election. Evah.
Popcorn?
I dunno Aye, I would love to see that happen..But, i think this time this is one of those things that will come out waaaaay later. Though, i do think the Republican party does have something to drop before vote day.
Yeah Aye it is a good election. I see republican after republican endorsing Obama…
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2008/10/25/MNU113NN0A.DTL
Today Real Clear Politics has moved Arizona into the most likely for McCain slot instead of solid McCain… that would be awesome if McCain didn’t even carry his home state!!! (not likely but possible)
November 4th will be fabulous!!! McCain will be sucking air the whole evening.
Palin will be sent home to Alaska… but not before already having pissed off the McCain campaign.
RCP now has Obama with a projection of 311 electoral votes before counting toss up states!!!
(BTW that is an increase since yesterday)
get out the popcorn.. and a beer!!!
I bet if the tape was about Palin it would already be out and running 24/7 wanna bet.
@Real American Patriot:
Oh, Sky, clueless as always.
You’re touting the RCP average when the pollsters admit that they don’t have a clue what is going on.
You still haven’t explained how Obama will win the election without PA even though I’ve asked you at least twice.
Also, why is BO campaigning in Iowa? Iowa? I though he had that one locked up.
Hmmm….
Have you seen the memo from BO’s headquarters saying that the polls are tightening up?
Have you seen the results for the early voting turnout? Not looking good for Obambi so far.
So, go out tomorrow and buy yourself some beer.
You’re gonna need it Tuesday night to dull the pain.
i would love for the gop to drop a huge bomb on obama, being either that tape/transcript, or proof from the brittish/kenyan government of obama being born there. the media is bias, we all know it, and there isn’t a damn thing we can do about it.
I have seen the results for early turn out… actually it’s not looking good for McCain so far!!
If Obama were not to get PA (which will not happen) he could take Ohio or Florida… any of which will put him over 270….
in Iowa Obama is favored by 11 points… that is more than in Wisconsin and the McCain campaign gave up on Wisconsin last month. I am not concerned about Iowa
Luva..
you righties do nothing but whine whine whine that the media is bias… if you really believe that support the fairness doctrine…
The half hour program tonight was awesome!!!
yep get out the popcorn… but be sure to vote first.. for Obama!!!
@Real American Patriot:
Watch and learn grasshopper.
Watch and learn.
@Real American Patriot:
You’re a walking, talking example of the tragedy of low expectations.
Real American Patriot,
Sent by Axelrod for an attempt at demoralizing the conservatives?
Nice try.
what is really funny is the story at which this string is aimed at!!!!
McCain gave this guy Money…. Obama toasted with him.. McCain gave him Money
and Now McCain wants to make a big deal about a so called video.
During the 1990s, while he served as chairman of the International Republican Institute (IRI), McCain distributed several grants to the Palestinian research center co-founded by Khalidi, including one worth half a million dollars.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/10/28/mccain-funded-work-of-pal_n_138606.html
Nice job C.R.A.P. of trying to undermine the possible release of this tape.
But as has been suggested, there is no tape of McCain praising Jew haters.
So much for phony moral equivalence.
Don’t forget that a foundation chaired by McCain gave Rashid Khalidi a half a million bucks.
Sky55110/RAP… but of course. There are known ties between Obama and Khalidi as intimate neighbors and regular dining partners. And there are ties between the GOP and where their money goes that supports Khalidi causes.
All in all, I’m still on the fence as to Khalidi’s power in the world, if not for his opine. And I’m certainly aware that some causes are like “brokers” for the money, and your cash can go for places you never intended.
NONE OF THIS IS THE STORY! OK, I don’t often shout. But I really want to be heard here.
There is no doubt that Khalidi and the Obamas were friends, breaking bread in the ‘hood. The fact a tape exists of Obama toasting the farewell of a neighborhood collegue doesn’t bother me in the least. It is no surprise.
But, as Curt points out… why the secrecy? They pass off Ayers as a rehabilitated educational intelligensia member of the community. Frankly, from the videos I’ve seen of Khalidi… doing the same for him would be easier than Ayers.
So why is the LA Times holding back??
*That* is the story. Not that they had a relationship. But why is the LA Times not providing documentation of a story we already know?
~~~

And BTW, Sky55110… please stop providing Huffpo shit…. I’d rather read my local Star or Nat’l Enquirer for more accurate news. You’re huring my hotlink eyes, dude….

McCain Oh Ate! Yah!

@Real American Patriot:

@lightinggod:

Tell you what guys.

Get the LA Times to show the tape so we can all see who is applauding the Jew bashing m’kay?

I can guarantee you it won’t be McCain.

If there’s nothing to see on the tape then why is the LA Times doing everything in their power to conceal it?

This is sort of like, actually a lot like, the whole birth certificate thing.

If there’s nothing to hide then produce the damn things already.

Smoke and fire and all that.

PS…. CPRS did polling and pubic opinion work. Just your sort of thing Sky.

Real American HATER,

Obama will lose the Jewish vote with that tape, even if it is not published. Just the fact that they hold it up, proves that it is really bad for Obama. I have Jewish friends in New-York and they told me today, that they will not be taking any chances with Obama. They will finally vote for McCain. Usually, Jewish people vote for Democrats, so that will make a big difference in the election.

To say that some of us are a little disappointed in McCain’s campaign is a little obvious. Why hasn’t he been building this narrative for months now – the pop of this would make a much bigger splash if he had. I still believe though that the R’s have some more ammunition somewhere that’s set to blow soon, probably tomorrow. It only makes sense because if the race is lost, then why not throw out everything you’ve got? Probably won’t do any good at this point, but what’s he got to lose?

I’ll have to confess though, there is something about Obama that knaws at me – and I’m trying to be objective here – why all the secrecy surrounding this guy? No transcripts, few college associates, no hardcopy birth certificate (or at least not one he’s willing to share), questionable associates, few accomplishments outside running for office, etc. What about Obama’s past scares him or his campaign so much that they feel we can’t handle the truth or is it that he really isn’t who he says he is (figuratively of course)? Obama’s greatest asset is his ability to allow himself to painted as whomever you want him to be. But somewhere there has to be the real person, and my gut says that he and his campaign know that the real Obama won’t sell to the masses, so they had to create his persona out of thin air. THAT’s what scares me about Obama – for all the talk, you don’t know for sure if he’ll govern from the center left or the hard left. I’d bet on hard left – hope I’m wrong.

@bud:

Bud,

You know that gnawing feeling that you have?

That’s the same feeling that voters all across this country are having.

That’s the sensation that, when the voting booth curtain closes, will keep Obama out of the White House.

@Craig: You just gave the PERFECT alterior motive for someone to “report” the comments, supposedly made, yet we can’t see or hear the proof.

From left to right, Michelle Obama, then Illinois state senator Barack Obama, Columbia University Professor Edward Said and Mariam Said at a May 1998 Arab community event in Chicago at which Edward Said gave the keynote speech. (Image from archives of Ali Abunimah)

Over the years since I first saw Obama speak I met him about half a dozen times, often at Palestinian and Arab-American community events in Chicago including a May 1998 community fundraiser at which Edward Said was the keynote speaker. In 2000, when Obama unsuccessfully ran for Congress I heard him speak at a campaign fundraiser hosted by a University of Chicago professor. On that occasion and others Obama was forthright in his criticism of US policy and his call for an even-handed approach to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

The last time I spoke to Obama was in the winter of 2004 at a gathering in Chicago’s Hyde Park neighborhood. He was in the midst of a primary campaign to secure the Democratic nomination for the United States Senate seat he now occupies. But at that time polls showed him trailing.

As he came in from the cold and took off his coat, I went up to greet him. He responded warmly, and volunteered, “Hey, I’m sorry I haven’t said more about Palestine right now, but we are in a tough primary race. I’m hoping when things calm down I can be more up front.” He referred to my activism, including columns I was contributing to the The Chicago Tribune critical of Israeli and US policy, “Keep up the good work!”

Pathetic is the only way to describe Obama supporters. You have had to make more excuses for him than you did for Bill Clinton. He was only ? years old when Ayers killed all those people that in 2001 he regretted not killing more as he stomped on an American flag. He was just member of the same board as Ayers, along with other republicans that did not attend the political coming out party at Ayers house with Obama. He did not have his campaign investigate and attempt to destroy a private citizen that embarrassed him with a question that he answered in his true socialist form. Obama did not get a deal on his multi-million dollar house from Tony Rezko, convicted of fraud and bribery, which happened to be 300,000 below the market price. The house was sold to Obama at 1,650,000 which is far above the price I paid for my first home as $64,000. I guess that is what spreading the wealth is about, getting thugs to do it for you. Ohh, come on, think hard, I am sure you blame all of this on Bush!

I didn’t know if this had been posted yet so I apologize if I’m repeating this information giving out the email address and phone number at the LA Times, etc….I received this today from Eric Erickson at Redstate (and I did send an email to Mr. Wallsten as well):

[What if the Los Angeles Times had video of John McCain toasting a known Islamic terrorist? What would the reaction be if the Los Angeles Times told everyone it had the tape, but refused the release the tape? And what if credible people who had seen the tape reported that other terrorists were in the room?

This is not a hypothetical. This is actually happening. Only it involves Barack Obama. And the Los Angeles Times has admitted it has the tape.

In 2003, Barack Obama lavished praise on Rashid Khalidi, a mouthpiece for Yasser Arafat. In the room were Weather Underground members Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn. It was all caught on video. The Los Angeles Times blandly mentioned the tape in passing a few months ago, but I’m told there is more to it than that — the tape shows enough sympathy from Barack Obama toward the causes of an Islamic radical that the American public has a right to see the tape.

But the Los Angeles Times will not release the tape. Peter Wallsten, a reporter for the Los Angeles Times has seen the tape. He wrote about the tape.

Email Peter Wallsten at peter.wallsten@latimes.com. Tell him to release the tape.

Call the Los Angeles Times at (213) 237-5000. Tell the Times the American public has a right to see this for themselves.

Please forward this to your friends and encourage them to call too. Use the link below my signature to ensure they get the email in proper formatting.

Sincerely yours,

Erick Erickson]

When the right wing goes after Obama for his association with Khalidi, it’s important to note that in 1998, Khalidi’s group, the Center for Palestine Research and Studies for work in the West Bank, received $448,873 from a group called the International Republican Institute. And guess who was chairman of that group and who agreed to the grant? John McCain.

@Richard:

Khalidi’s group.

That’s funny.

Show me.

The LAT will report NSC leaks that damage the country’s ability to protect us under the ruse that the people have a right to know. But, they will not release information that the people have a right to know regarding a very crucial election. The LAT makes their own rules, the people be d****d.

Aye:

Richard is correct on that one…. check out my link earlier in this string…

or read it here again.

During the 1990s, while he served as chairman of the International Republican Institute (IRI), McCain distributed several grants to the Palestinian research center co-founded by Khalidi, including one worth half a million dollars.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/10/28/mccain-funded-work-of-pal_n_138606.html

It’s another example of how horrendous the McCain campaign people are. Can’t run a campaign but they can run a country? You betcha.

@Real American Patriot:

Sky,

It takes more than a Huffy Puffy link to convince me.

Those nutroots are notorious for printing stuff that is based in Fantasy Land, so you’re gonna have to dig a bit deeper than that line of BS.

@Richard:

#1,

I doubt there was a whole lot of Jew bashing going on at the IRI. I think our Jewish population doesn’t have to doubt where John McCain stands on supporting Israel. There’s reason to doubt Obama being as though there are news items out there that have proven that he’s talks out of both sides of his mouth.

#2,

You think McCain can’t run a campaign? Maybe without illegal money, but, oh well, his scruples are far superior to Obama’s.

Obama blew through $160 million in Chicago with no results to show for it. He’s gone through $600 million in his campaign for the OO and today we find out that more people think McCain will do better with the economy than Obama, shucks, wonder why? Now Obama is begging for $5 more bucks, “just gimmee 5 more bucks”:

“A week after his last money plea, Obama asks everyone for another $5
It seems like only a week ago that The Ticket was whining about Barack Obama whining that after raising $605 million through September to buy the presidency, he was asking all of us one last time for just $10 more for some reason.

And we figured out that, October money aside, he’d have to spend $12.5 million a day just to unload September’s haul by Nov. 4.”
>snipsnipsnip<
http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/2008/10/obama-money-1.html

Indeed.

Aye:

Khalidi’s group that’s funny….
show you..

how about right from the IRI….

Washington, DC – “Questions have arisen regarding the International Republican Institute’s (IRI) work with Palestinians in the 1990s.

“In the 1990s, IRI gave grants to the Center for Palestinian Research and Studies (CPRS) for polling in the West Bank/Gaza. The polls measured support for the peace process, for various Palestinian political groups, and for efforts to enhance governance in the West Bank/Gaza. At that time no other organization could credibly conduct polling in the West Bank/Gaza.

“We understand that Rashid Khalidi was one of the many founders of CPRS, and we understand that he was for some (unclear) amount of time a board member. IRI did not in the 1990s conduct background checks of grantees’ founders or board members. IRI did on a number of occasions vet CPRS as an organization, including, as was our custom, with the Israeli government, and we were given no cause for concern.

@Real American Patriot:

Where did you get that from Sky?

Your citations need sourcing.

@Real American Patriot:

Moral equivalence, I think not. Why did you cut off the rest of the IRI statement, RAP? Here it is:

“We do not recall any contact between Mr. Khalidi and IRI, and there is no evidence that Mr. Khalidi benefitted in any way from IRI’s grants.

“Other organizations that reportedly gave funding to CPRS include the National Endowment for Democracy, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Center for International Private Enterprise, the Ford and Rockefeller Foundations, the Japanese Embassy, and Germany’s Friedrich Naumann Stiftung.

“IRI’s relationship with CPRS ended in 2000, and we understand that it no longer exists.”

http://www.iri.org/newsreleases/2008-10-29-IRI.asp

Things the Democrats learned from the 2008 campaign, in no particular order:

1. Don’t run a 19 month candidate in a 20 month campaign.
Allegory: Don’t run a campaign that outlasts the patience of the constituents.

2. When you set up a campaign capitalizing on the adoring graces of the press, make sure the press isn’t squandering its last few bits of credibility while your candidate’s credibility is also coming into question.

3. You can have a well oiled and financed campaign but if your candidate is THE Manchurian Candidate, you have wasted nearly a billion dollars and a lot of political credibility.

4. You can support a feminist, she can be a bit of a bitch, but you can’t run a feminist/socialist/ bitch against a Black Socialist in the primaries and still have a cohesive presidential campaign afterward.

5. Any candidate that disavows every influence he ever idolized and wrote about is sooner or later going to have credibility issues.

6. When a campaign brags about its grass root influences, it should probably make sure said same grassroots are not also predominantly nutjobs with little to no useful experience in politics.

7. It might also help if the campaign ran a poll to find out what the constituents really wanted before planning a campaign that avoids telling them what they will get for their vote.

@Real American Patriot:

Pennsylvania tied.

Watch and learn, grasshopper.

Watch and learn.

Doesn’t take much for Richard and sky55110 to get excited, eh? You two don’t really believe you can cast out the IRI/CPRS tidbit and place that non-existent relationship in the same category as regular dinners and friends, do you? And BTW, you didn’t drop any bombs here. I pointed out the relationship between the GOP’s IRI and the CRPS with my link in post #17.

Sorry guys… you’ll have to head over to another more gullible site for the “gasp” you seek.

I’m not sure what you think the ta doooo about the IRI and the CPRS is all about. As the IRI states, they have vetted the CPRS, funding a research and policy analysis institution. Not to Khalidi, who was only one of the original seven founders.

Nor could McCain be found at the Khalidi’s dinner table for regular chit chats.

The Center for Palestine Research and Studies (CPRS) was founded in March 1993 in response to the need for active Palestinian scholarship on issues related to Palestine. The Center is an independent academic research and policy analysis institution seeking to fully explore and understand new local and regional development and assess their impact on the Palestinians. Because CPRS is independent of political factions, it is in a unique position of being able to serve as a forum for meetings of Palestinian and international researchers from various political backgrounds and ideologies in a free academic and professional atmosphere.

The Center for Palestinian Research and Studies acts as an independent think tank” for Palestinian policy and strategy community. It seeks to produce research that is objective and based on rigorous and sound methodology. The Center does not adopt political positions other than advocating free, democratic exchange and expression. It is fully committed to information exchange and to publishing research according to professional standards. CPRS encourages outstanding scholars in Palestinian political, strategic, and economic issues to actively participate in the current dialogue regarding the

On Khalidi himself. Personally, I have not read or seen enough about Khalidi’s to form a huge negative opinion. He is, most certainly, pro Palestine and anti Zionist. To what extent that emotion goes, I do not know. The only videos I see are discussions and speeches about his Iron Cage book.

The story is, and remains, not that there is a tape of a function that the LA Times reported on last April. But why is it they feel they cannot release that tape? Since it’s already a fact Obama was there, and that they are documented friends and dinner companions, what’s in the tape they don’t want the public to know?

THAT is the story… the fact the LA Times will not release the tape.

The IRI and CRPS… you might as well complain about donating funds to an equivalent Jewish think tank. Nothing wrong with the CRPS that I can see on the surface… unless they were funneling funds to Hamas. Prove the CRPS was supporting terrorism, and that the IRI and MCCain knew that, and I’ll help you condemn McCain and the IRI all day long.

Missy,

Why did I cut off the rest of it??

Read it…

“We don’t recall ____”

you may as well say nothing…

Aye:

PA will be a clean sweep for Obama..

@Real American Patriot:

That RCP average that you like to crow about is now down to 5.9% including the big MSM outliers.

Yeah, you’re gonna need beer.

Craig, its funny that almost half of your answers are just blaming Demorcrats and Liberals.

LMAO! But its the conservative REPUBLICANS who have been in the White house for the past 8 years.

Its the REPUBLICANS who were in charge of The White house AND Congress through 2000 and 2004.

Demoocrats have only been in charge of Congress for 2 years.

And by the time they got there, the Damge of the Republican party was ALREADY DONE!

Lmao! You know its funny how you Republicans want to stay in Power and run the Country but, NEVER take ANY reasponsability when things go wrong and you SCREW UP!

And instead you Decide to Blame the “lefties” a.k.a Demorcrats.

But YOU’VE been in charge over the past 8 years.

YOUR patry is the party that tricked the American people into going to Iraq.

YOUR party is the party that stood by and let THOUSANDS of people DROWN in New Orleans for a WEEK before F.E.M.A finally went to help the citizens of New Orleans!

And by then THOUSANDS of people {including Afican Americans} had drowned.

YOUR party is the party that let 9/11 happend, and STILL NOT cacth the Son of a b*cth, Osama Bin Laden and Alqeda who DID IT!!!!!

Wow! You Dumnb ass Republican NEVER take any reasponsability for your actions do you?

*SMDH*

Like I said Before Obama still
going to win!!!!!!

ITS TIME FOR A CHANGE!!

Obama/Biden 08!

Oh lookie, Jasmine/David/David101 is back to share her wisdom…. er… Obama talking points. But as we’ve seen before, it’s difficult to carry on a conversation with one so ill-informed, and resistant to expanding their horizons.

That’s okay, Jasmine. If you vote your guy in, I’ll meet you out at our respective mailboxes as we pick up our tax credit refund checks, where we can chat about our long waiting line at the local health clinic. Hey, you want a nation of welfare recipients as the norm? Well, a vote for Obama is a vote for threshholds on rewards for work, and an increased dependency on the government for a higher number of Americans. At some point, the rich become poorer, the poor do not become richer, and the government spends lots of money with no successful results…

i.e. Obama and Ayers Chicago Annenberg Challenge. And considering he’s spent three times the money as the ol’ white guy, his campaign isn’t much of a rousing endorsement of money management considering it’s a close race.

I’d say you’d better get to work, girl. Because the aging are increasing annually, and the birthrates are declining every year. At some point, you’re going to figure out the government just can’t support you in the life to which you want to become accustomed.

Jasmine?

Is that you?

YOUR party is the party that stood by and let THOUSANDS of people DROWN in New Orleans for a WEEK before F.E.M.A finally went to help the citizens of New Orleans!

And by then THOUSANDS of people {including Afican Americans} had drowned.

Perhaps you missed my other post. Due to Louisiana state sovereignty. FEMA could NOT go into the state without first receiving the permission of the state to do so. FEMA was in constant communication with Governor Blanco and New Orleans mayor Ray Nagin (Both Democrats) and Bush informed them that the information he was getting back from the Army Corps of Engineers was that the levees would not hold if the water reached certain levels. He highly suggested that New Orleans parishes be added to the disaster area so he could get FEMA in there. In typical partisan style they blew Bush and FEMA warnings off with disasterous results.

As to your death toll “of THOUSANDS by drowning”; Although most of the 1,464 deceased victims of Hurricane Katrina from Louisiana were “Storm Related”, they were not all drowned. Nor were blacks particularly targeted for extinction by the storm. Your attempt to twist this into a “Republican racism issue” is idiotic and shows you as a “race baiter” who would stoop to any level to keep blacks disinformed, outraged, and in support of Democratic Party mythologies. It is rather an insult to their intelligence by doing so and demands their attention. Hurricanes are equal opportunity killers:

O give me a break Rocky_B!

If any party is race-baiting this year its the REPUBLICANS!

A few weeks ago Sarah palin told a crowd in florida quote:

“I’m afraid this man,{Obama} doesn’t see America the way that you and I see America”

Now who the H.E.L.L is:

“you and I” ????

Anybody who has commen sence knows that she is basicly saying that Obama is not like “us” A.K.A white voters.

That is what we call “code words”.

Which is basicly Race-baiting!

When John Mcain a few weeks ago asked his supporters.

“Who is the REAL Barack Obama?”

THAT IS RACE BAITING!!!

Why would he ask that question when Obama has been campaigning for President for 2 years now?

Basicly what the republicans have been trying to say is that Obama is not like everybody else, A.K.A white voters.

And have been trying to potray him as Dangerous ect. Ect.

Knowing full well that their are A LOT of white voters who feel that way about Barack Obama JUST BECUASE he is black.

And that’s not race-baiting?

O and Btw George W. Bush was liying.

The water had already leveled so F.E.M.A did’nt have to wait a fuckiing WEEK, to go out and save the people of New Orleans who were drowning and needed recue.

Also there was NO HELP, NONE WHAT’S SO EVER to the people that DID survive.

Thousands of New Orleans citizens had to live in a Foot Ball Stadium for weeks with NO FOOD, NO WATER, NOR HELP AT ALL by F.E.M.A.

It was the Red cross and other American citizens OUTSIDE of New orleans who volentered to help the citizens of New Orleans after Katrina.

NOT F.E.M.A!

NOR the leaders who were running our country.

Its sad to say, but it’s true.

And, what’s the problem with saying that African Americans were the Majority that died and were affected by, in New Orleans?

It’s true isn’t it??

How is it race-baiting?

Its not the Democrats fault that republican do NOTHING to reach out to the Afican American voters.

Maybe if the republicans would try to cater to the Low and Middle income families {which are mostly African Americans and other Minoritys} instead of catering to the BIG OIL companys and the Rich.

Then maybe they WOULD get the African American vote.

The Demorcrats have NOTHING TO DO with the fact that the republican party is out-of touch with the African American voters.

The Republicans have killed that relationship themselfs by NOT catering to the needs and values of the African Americn Community.

But like I said, the republican party NEVER take reasponsability for THIER OWN actions.

They blame the Democrats for not having the African American vote.

Instead of going out of thier way to cater to the African American voter themselfs.

Enough is Enough!

The time for change is NOW!!!!

Obama/Biden 08!
