Wow! They’re playing rough. I wonder if people are scared to give truthful answers on polls. Maybe this is why Obama seems to lead; nobody has the courage to say they won’t vote for Obama. Never know, maybe they will put them on a list and if Obama loses, they will get at them afterwards. Hum! Everything is possible with that gang of fascists.

Craig: You are describing something called the “Bradley Effect” which is a theory developed after an election for Governor in California where the black candidate, Tom Bradley, was ahead in the opinion polls but lost the election.

I don’t know how much that will be a factor here. And as the Gallup polling group pointed out, there is a reverse Bradley effect of liberals who just want to vote for Obama BECAUSE he is black.

As Hillary Clinton suggested, if Obama were white he never would have been taken seriously as a nominee.

Mike,

Hillary is absolutely right. Obama has nothing to offer to this country. He can only destroy it.

I drive I-5 between Portland OR and Seattle WA 3 times a week. On Oct 5th, I noticed a new McCain sign that was smashed in half on the side of the interstate. This is only 6 miles north of Portland in Vancouver WA. It had not been up very long, and was also the only one damaged in a cluster of other placards. Coincidence?

I suspect there is even a reverse-reverse-Bradley effect on that very Gallup poll. People telling Gallup they are not voting for Obama because of race, when they actually will, but they just don’t want to admit it, because that would make them racist. There was an earlier Gallup poll on the same question 2 months ago and the number voting for Obama because of his race was much higher. The thing with the polls is they are not totally random samplings. My brother was one of those polled by Gallup for about four months, but got tired of getting half-hour calls 4 times a week asking the same questions every time.

This election is really getting ridiculous. And to think I was once a Democrat…I sided with these people?!? What the hell was I thinking? I’m more than happy that I re-registered as a Republican. I say that I support McCain and I’m damn proud of it!

Oh, and Craig, it’s like I said before: Democrats picked Obama on purpose. They really are bent on controlling every aspect of government. Knowing that the nomination of a black man – esp. one who can speak well – and also knowing that they [Democrats] have a large base of black voters who aren’t voting because of their own mindframes and hate for the “white man”, they picked Obama so they can crank the votes in their favor. Just a major political move.

Huh. Now wait a minute…..

Leah I thing you might have just flashed on something there. Why WOULD the DNC intentionally kick Hillary to the curb and choose a wholey unqualified nobody like Obama with absolutely no hope of satisfactorily running the office? Is Obama nothing more than a puppet candidate?

Interesting theory.

@Rocky_B: Rocky asks: “Is Obama nothing more than a puppet candidate? “

But who is pulling the strings? George Soros? Vladimir Putin?
