Democrats Take Bush Position On Russian Invasion

Loading

(UPDATED)

Back in April 2008, President Bush requested that Georgia be allowed to apply to join NATO. France and Germany blocked the effort which would have made last week’s invasion turn into a world war. Instead, NATO members quietly agreed to support Georgia regardless. Did that promise work?

Wellllllllll, not exactly. See, right after that NATO conference…Russia started getting aggressive. They built up their military forces in the area, prepped for invasion, and started making probe attacks; doing things like…shooting down Georgia’s unmanned drones which would spot the buildup. Doubt it? whadaya want…video proof? Mmmm, yeah, ok:

Meanwhile, the Democratic Party went into overdrive in forming its platform positions. The DNC Platform takes the same position as those NATO members (the same position accepted by President Bush), and they seem to still think that it would work; that it would prevent a Russian invasion of Georgia and others.

The NEW Democratic Party line is the same as President Bush’s:

We will seek to strengthen and broaden our strategic partnership with Turkey, end the division of Cyprus, and continue to support a close U.S. relationship with states that seek to strengthen their ties to NATO and the West, such as Georgia and Ukraine.

DNC 2008 Platform

So, DID this idea of promising to help Georgia if it’s attacked help?

Russians deliberately bomb civilian targets=silence from faux-anti-war groups. Why? Because their opposition to war isn’t to “war” (if that were the case, then they’d protest all wars). Their protests are only against the invasion of Iraq which took place five years ago, and the only reason they protest that is because it fit the Democratic Party line. Other wars…nope. Not important to the DNC pawns/faux-anti-war groups.

With US casualties down to the lowest level since the invasion, with peace increasingly breaking out in Iraq because of the efforts of US forces, with political reconcilliation taking place in Iraq, with 15/18 benchmarks met in Iraq…there is no longer anything to protest there (not even the US presence which was mandated by the United Nations in May of 2003; UN resolution 1483 sec1-4). They are at a loss.

Put more simply, if the Democratic Party doesn’t protest it, then there’s no reason to protest, and the only reasoning there can be is that protesting war was never sincere-just their way of being tools and pawns for a political party seeking power.

It begs the question…what will they protest when Bush is gone, and the war in Iraq is over? Maybe they should try fasting-that’s worked so well in the past.

UPDATE
Does the Bush/Democrat strategy of saying they’re gonna back Georgia have an impact? Did Senator Obama REALLY stop the Russian invasion merely by requesting it?

methinks no

But don’t forget that many of these “peace” activists owe allegiance to political movements beyond the borders of the United States and only follow the Democrat Party line when it coincides with their world socialist agenda. Of course many Democrats also support world socialism (or communism lite) so they usually are on the same page.

THERE ARE LIARS, DAMN LIARS, …AND THEN THERE ARE DEMOCRATS

So, the Dems take the same position as the Reps, do they? Oh, Ree Hee Heeely???!!! Where have I heard THAT Before?

BUSTED!

They will say anything to get elected, then attempt to ram through their Leftist agenda that no sane person wants, and no one at all needs.

“whadaya want…video proof?” (of Russian aggression) — F.A.

“Who ya gonna believe, me, or your lyin eyes?” — Stoner, Gnoebles, WD-40, in 3-part disharmony.

That was good Yonason. Funny how the cut and run crowd were all for going into Iraq when it was the popular thing to do.

I recommend the video to anyone who needs proof about how two faced Democrats are on this issue:

The dynamite comes in the last ten seconds, so hold on.

It’s all about perception with them, not reality.

They have to see themselves as being better than everyone else, especially the ‘little people’ (voters without whom they would be nothing). They also need the general populace to think of them as morally superior, which they attempt by espousing the causes they perceive as being popular, but for which they have no real understanding of or interest in, except to use in furthering their sleazy agenda behind closed doors.
